Having eyes, see you not? and having ears, hear you not? and do you not remember? Mark 8:18
Spiritual eyes are life changing. Spiritual eyes allow us to see and understand God’s Word, as opposed to seeing with flesh eyes, and seeing only the world and man’s ways, not God’s ways.
Do things God’s way and receive His blessings, and spiritual eyes will eventually be opened, the “scales” will be washed away, and Praise God, the world will be very different in what we were accustomed to prior to the unveiling of our “scales.”
When we have spiritual eyes we’re able to foresee and understand that which is happening around us, and that which will happen in the future, and ultimately…our eternity after all that is in the scriptures have been fulfilled.
Spiritual eyes can see things and filter out the “harsh” sights of the world knowing that we’re not battling against flesh, but a spiritual battle. (Ephesians 6:12) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
When we have spiritual eyes, we have a greater understanding and protection in all battles due to our “armor” and our “gear” that is formed with sight from spiritual eyes. Of course, the LORD gives sight to those who have “eyes to see” as well as “hearing” to those who hear.
Sometimes the LORD will deliberately bring a stupor/slumber to some, ostensibly, also foolish things of the world did God choose, that the wise He may put to shame; and the weak things of the world did God choose that He may put to shame the strong. (1 Corinthians 1:27)
According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear; unto this day. (Romans 11:8)
When we have the “call to see” and “hear” and possess a desire to grow with the LORD, when we accept Him as our LORD and Savior, we will begin a journey that is unlike any other we will face in this lifetime, and it will successfully carry us over to our ultimate goal, as we seek His face, and His Kingdom, which will bring the blessings and rewards of eternal salvation!

God is so good to us and He will never let us down, even if our eyes aren’t opened yet, He will still bring us peace and understanding if we really want it. Keep praying and believing in Him and ask for His help and He will open your eyes up for sure! He did mine, and I thank God for it each and everyday.

For me, I’ve got to read and keep reading to get that word into my head heart and soul, and when that happens, you’re eyes are opened up wide!
The word is pregnant, it keeps growing each time we read it. I know I learn something new each time I read it, and that is when I know the Lord is doing an inner working on me!
