Dear God: Love & Blessings~

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. (John 4:7 KJV)

She said harsh words to him as he walked out the door, “You’re the biggest regret in my life. You’re a pain, why did I ever marry you? I wish I never married you…”  He stormed out the door to his jobWithin two hours of that hurtful departure between husband and wife she answered the doorbell and saw two officers with hats in hand. They uttered words that no one ever would want to hear, “May we come in, we have some very unfortunate news for you. Your husband has been in accident and I’m sorry…but he didn’t make it….”  She fell to the ground as she blacked out.

The above is an incident that took place some years back, and the wife cried to me, “the awful things I said, I love him, and will always love him…Why? Why did I say those horrible things to him. How will I live with this memory?” Although this was some years ago, I still hear her anguish and tormented screams.  She later confided to me, “We were happy, in love…and so blessed. Why didn’t I ever see that? Why did I harp on the little things, like his pants being left on the floor? Or his whiskers in the bathroom sink?  I didn’t know it then, but it was a blessing to have him with me. I’d give anything to have him back.”

We live life knowing that one day we will be called home, however, in the course of our lifetime, there will be days when the “flesh” gives out and makes a mess of things. When this happens we can’t take it back, but we can go foward and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom, guidance to get back on the narrow path.

Again, the Holy Spirit is here for us. We merely have to connect and align with His doctrine and His word.  We can go forward with a will to conquer the flesh as the Spirit consumes the natural inclination of our actions. It will eventually become a way of life when we surrender to the Light from within…and we give complete and utter adoration to the Lord and seek His face in all that we do.

The woman who lost her husband had a rough time, but eventualy with the help of God, she realized that to condemn her actions and live in guilt wasn’t of “the Lord” but was coming from another place. She resolved to move forward, in Jesus’ name, and knows that one day she’ll see him again. She has a new lease on life, never to be bothered by the little things in life, but to embrace the overall picture…eternal reward in heaven. She forgave herself through the power of God.

See the greatest thing of all is this:  God loves us so much, that He will forgive over and over again, no matter how many times we transgress…He is a Father of mercy and compassion.  He is a fountain of mercy and endurance of all things, He is our Rock, Salvation, and most of all, He is LOVE.

Each day as we go forward in the flesh, give the Lord thanks for all things, big and small. Reach out to Him in prayer and in reading His word, and loving others.  Be a reflection of Christ and provide the right course of action, or at the very least try our very best.  Ask for His help, it’s an ongoing battle…but we will be victorious in Christ, by His Spirit. The Spirit of Christ is power and is there for our benefit. He gives us permission to go forward in His name, in fact we’re like a power of attorney in His name. He gives us permission to do so.  So go forward and shine your mighty light from within. And, always look to the “big picture” and realize the goal of our next lifetime, eternity with our Father.

Praise His Holy name forever and ever. Amen…

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (Romans 8:11 KJV)

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; (Ephesians 3:16 KJV)
