Dear God: We Devote Our Love To You~

O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. (Psalm 8:1 KJV)

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? (Psalm 8:4)

As many get ready for Palm Sunday I always wonder how many realize the actual meaning behind Palm Sunday? As I look around I see rows and rows of candied peeps, and marshmallows in egg cartons, and chocolate bunny rabbits…caloric sugary substances of no worth, other than an enjoyable fleeting taste of sweetness. Empty calories that play to our flesh, and entice and tantalize.

Jesus, feeds our spirit and provides nourishment that sustains forever. He is the Glorified Lamb of God, who came to fulfill the scriptures, and to save the world. He is the eternal Rock of Salvation, the provider of all, and more. He is sweeter than the finest chocolate on earth. Christ is our Shepherd, our Comforter, and only He can give what we need to live forever. Praise Him and give Him thanks as we enter into the upcoming Holy week, and keep in mind, all that He has done for US.

We, the sinners of the world…He came and walked amongst us, and He dedicated His life to teaching us, loving us, and giving us a chance to live forever.

Realize the depth of His purpose. Think of His father, Adonai, and the pain He felt to see His Son go through the horrific, and indescribable pain and torment before being crucified, for all for US. He went to the bowels of the earth, and resurrected for US. By His stripes we are healed.

As you look over those delectable confections of goodies, that touch your lips for a second, and bring a moment of delight, and add empty calories and nothing more…

Why not take the time to think of the one who cleansed our lips, and prepared our souls for a lifetime of bliss…the one and only Jesus Christ–Amen~

For God sent not His Son into the world ot condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:17)

“…Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: Blessed be the kingdom of our father David that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.” (Mark 11:9-10)
