Dear God:We Move & Live By You Alone~

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Matthew 6:26 NKJV

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I santified you…” Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV

Every time I see that verse I tingle…just take a look at that verse from Jeremiah.  The meaning behind that verse is prolific and overwhelming.  He knew us before he formed us in the womb.  And, in comparison, the well-known verse from Matthew 6:26.  He feeds the birds of the air…He knows every bird that He created.

The above comparison is but a glimpse of the magnitude in which and how our Father operates.  As I sit here writing this post, He knows before I do what I will write.  He knows how many hairs I have on my very head.  He knows my heart, He knows my soul…and most important of all- He loves me.

All of which goes on during our day, the Father is aware of.  He sees ALL, He knows ALL.  He hears, and watches, and looks at everything we do.  So, when we’re alone…nope, we’re never alone. He is with us always. He promised He would never leave us or forsake us.  He is with us, guiding us, showing us, leading us, advising us. He brings His promises to the forefront of His very Word.  The good news, the Bible.  All that’s contained within is life changing and a way of life for so many.

The New Year brings resolutions to so many.  “I have to lose weight…I have to get a better job…I have to find someone to love….I have to find the perfect house…I vow to give up sweets…I vow to give up smoking…”  So, on and so forth.  The list is endless and as diversified as a multicolored kaleidoscope.  But usually in their quest for perfection, there is something glaringly absent from their “vows” of resolutions…GOD.

When we try to do things on our own volition and strength, we most assuredly will fail.  Perhaps for a little while, some people may prosper…but I can assure you the limits of their prosperity will be short-term..  Without God things will not manifest in the way we wish them to. It has been my experience that those who confer with God, and wait upon the Lord will be blessed… and have been blessed.  His tolerance and giving nature, allows for all good things to transpire for His children.  The children who are obedient to His word and will, and His laws, which come down to His commandments and promises, will bloom and feel peace.  They will see things in a different way than those who don’t know or have an intimate relationship with God.

Our Father wants us to prosper, and to be healthy and happy.  We need to call upon His amazingly phenomenal presence and omnipotent power accordingly.  We need to acquiesce to the Spirit, “yield if you will” to the Glory of God.  It is only then that all things will come to pass.  Our willingness to obide by His will, and not ours is critical to our optimal well-being.  His glory and love sustain us and bring us through all trials and fires, and we will emerge from them  refined  and chiseled resembling God more and more each time. And, remember this important fact, God never gives you what you cannot handle…and He will ALWAYS show you a way out.

This year bring a reality to your resolution…get to know God a little better.  I will guarantee the Lord will uphold you with His righteous hand as He brings you toward His safe harbor.  His love will fulfill your needs and desires, and His arms will encircle you while He shines His light upon your face

It is God who arms me with strength,
And makes my way perfect.
33 He makes my feet like the feet of deer,
And sets me on my high places. Psalm 18:32-33 NKJV

13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthian 10:13 NKJV

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment…Mark 12:30 NKJV

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’  Isaiah 41:10 NKJV
