Dear God: My Soul Is Yours Alone~

Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, every soul belongs to Me; both father and son are ...The Story of Our Souls Belonging to God

In a world filled with distractions and noise, there lived a young woman named Mary. She was always searching for meaning and purpose in her life. She felt a deep longing in her heart, a void that nothing seemed to fill. She tried to find fulfillment in her career, relationships, and material possessions, but nothing brought her lasting peace.

One day, while walking through a serene forest, she stumbled upon an old, weathered book lying beneath a tree. Curious, she picked it up and began to read. The book was filled with ancient scriptures and stories about the soul’s journey to find its true home in God. As she read, Mare felt an immense sense of calm and clarity wash over her.

The book spoke of how our souls are created by God and belong to Him alone. It referenced scriptures like:

  • Psalm 24:1: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”
  • 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.”

Mary then realized that her soul’s longing was a call to return to her Creator. She began to meditate on these scriptures, allowing their truth to sink deep into her heart. She found solace in the idea that her soul was never meant to find fulfillment in the temporary things of this world, but in the eternal love of God.

Meditative Thoughts and Takeaway

As Mary continued her journey, she spent time each day in quiet reflection, meditating on the scriptures and seeking God’s presence. She discovered that true peace and joy come from knowing that she is loved and cherished by God. Her soul found rest in the assurance that she belonged to Him.

This story was written in the form of a “parable”, and it is meant to bring forth a strong message about Jesus, and the LORD’s Holy Bible and Word-and our very souls. When we take in the reality of how we were created, it can seemingly overwhelm us to the point of incredulity and intense joy!

  • Our souls belong to HIM and HIM alone!
Our souls were created by HIM and HIM alone!
Our souls were granted salvation by HIM and HIM alone!

Takeaway: Our souls are designed to find their true home in God. When we seek fulfillment in Him, we experience a peace that surpasses all understanding. When we foster an intimate relationship with Christ and follow His commandments and meditate on His Word, we are engaging in what He calls us all to do. Our Savior, Jesus Christ – the Rock, our very foundation on which we live as Christians.

Reflective Questions

  1. What are the things in your life that you seek fulfillment from?
  2. How can you shift your focus from temporary pleasures to eternal truths?
  3. In what ways can you honor God with your body and soul?

Input and Theory

The knowledge and truth that our souls belong to God is rooted in the belief that we are created in His image and for His purpose. This reality is supported by various scriptures and teachings within Christianity throughout the Holy Bible. It emphasizes the importance of living a life that reflects God’s love and purpose.

Christian Views of Today

Many Christians today believe that our identity and worth come from our relationship with God. This belief encourages a life of faith, service, and devotion. It calls for a shift from self-centered living to a God-centered life, where our actions and decisions are guided by His will, and His purpose for our lives!

 Closing Prayer

“My Sweet LORD, we come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that our souls belong to You and You alone. Thank You for creating us in Your image and for the love that You pour into our lives. Help us to seek fulfillment in You and not in the fleeting things of this world. Guide us in our journey to honor You with our bodies and souls. May we find peace and joy in Your presence, knowing that we are cherished and loved by You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”

Meditative Thought

Reflect on the profound truth that your soul is designed to find its true home in God only and seek His Kingdom in all you do!  In a world filled with distractions and temporary pleasures, remember that lasting peace and fulfillment come from seeking and resting in His eternal love. Let this understanding guide your daily actions and decisions, bringing you closer to the purpose for which you were created by His hands above…

Belonging to God – Living Bulwark

DEAR GOD: I Am Yours – I Surrender~

Surrendering To God - YouTube

So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 NLT

Surrendering to God fully is a challenging but rewarding decision that every Christian should make. It means giving up our own will, plans, and preferences, and letting God have His way in every aspect of our lives.

It means trusting that God knows what is best for us, and that He will work all things together for our good. It means obeying His commands, following His guidance, and seeking His glory.

It means relying on His grace, power, and love, and not on our own strength, wisdom, or resources. It means living for Him, and not for ourselves.

One of the reasons we should surrender to God fully is that He is our Creator and He knows us better than we know ourselves. He has a perfect plan for our lives, and He wants to bless us and give us hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 139:13-16, Isaiah 55:8-9)

Another reason we should surrender to God fully is that He loves us unconditionally and He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins. He offers us forgiveness, grace, and salvation through faith in Christ. He also gives us the Holy Spirit to guide us, comfort us, and empower us. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 8:1-2, John 14:26)

A third reason we should surrender to God fully is that He is faithful and trustworthy. He never changes, He never lies, and He never fails. He keeps His promises and He works all things together for our good. He is our refuge, our strength, and our help in times of trouble. (Hebrews 13:8, Numbers 23:19, Romans 8:28, Psalm 46:1-3)

A fourth reason we should surrender to God fully is that He is worthy of our worship and obedience. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is holy, righteous, and majestic. He deserves our praise, our gratitude, and our service. He commands us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. (Revelation 19:16, Isaiah 6:3, Psalm 145:3, Mark 12:30-31)

These are just some very strong examples of the verses that support the idea of surrendering to God fully. There are so many more in the Bible – if you take the time to read it, and get to know the Father and His love.

I hope they help you understand and appreciate the benefits and blessings of living a surrendered life. 😊

When we surrender to the One and only Master and King of kings and LORD of lords – our lives can be rewarding and fulfilling on every level, inside and out.

God is our weapon of defense in this ugly world of darkness. His light will extinguish the fiery darts the enemy throws our way. His ways and His love are a constant guiding force and sanctuary for us and all we do.

Have you picked up your Bible today? Have you spoken with the LORD today? Remember this, “He is always there and always waiting for YOU!”

“Father, thank You for this day in time, for Your love and guidance, for Your unwavering love and faith in me, I am Yours fully, forever and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: I Sing to Thee With Love~

Prayer to God for the Fire of the Holy Spirit by St. Ambrose of Milan ...

“But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.”
Psalm 59:16

God is my defense and the Rock of my foundation. He is the quintessential Being in all I see and feel. He is the Creator of the Universe and my very soul. Each morning, I sing with joy for another day, and thank Him explicitly for the gift of a new day. Each night I pray for His peace and protection. But most of all I thank Him.

What do I thank Him for?

I thank Him for His Holy Spirit within me, that guides me in all I do and speak.

I thank Him for His Holy Spirit that prompts me to do what is right and leads me onto the paths of righteousness.

I thank Him for His Holy Spirit that is always with me, and never leaving me or deserting me, ever.

I thank Him for His soothing voice and Holy Spirit that is forever holding me up safely in the rage of ugly vitriolic voices in the world.

I thank Him for giving me the present of His Holy Spirit.

These examples and so much more are what I “Sing” about in the morning and during the day, as I raise my voice and exalt Him, and give Him all the honor and glory.

I realize that with Him I am impervious to “evil” because I am protected by His precious Blood and by the Holy Spirit within me.

Do you give Him thanks daily? Do you realize that the Holy Spirit resides inside of you when you accept Him as Your Lord and Savior? Do you realize that He is with you always?

Today go through the day with the conscious thought and reality that “His Spirit is with You,” and He is guiding you every step of the way.  And then go ahead and give Him a shout of praise and offer Him a thankful heart of love. He died for you! (John 3:16) If that isn’t enough alone to adore Him, then I truly don’t know what more I can possibly say, because His love for us is the biggest and greatest love story ever told!

“Father, may I always realize that Your Spirit is within me, may I mirror Your Light in all I do, may I humbly serve You with all my heart and soul, may I be obedient to Your will and Your doctrine, and may I honor and adore You all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
