DEAR GOD: You Are My Strength & Power & Comfort~

2 Samuel 22:33 (NKJV) -a verse that resonates with strength, guidance, and divine protection.  “God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.”

Let’s explore together as we go further into the meaning and the perfection of the LORD’s love and promises over us. His voice resonates within each believer as we look to His Word, truth and direction in all we do, all the days of our lives and beyond.

Reflective Thoughts:

Strength: God equips us with inner strength. It’s not merely physical might but resilience, courage, and unwavering faith.

Refuge: Imagine a fortress—a place of safety and shelter. God is our refuge, our stronghold.

Blameless Way: Our path, guided by God, becomes blameless. Not flawless but aligned with His purpose.

Meditative Takeaway:

Pause and recognize the strength within you. Seek it not in worldly power, but in your connection with the Divine. Trust that your journey is guided, even when the road seems uncertain.

Moral Views:

Strength isn’t about dominance; it’s about integrity, compassion, and standing for what’s right. Security lies not in control, but in surrendering to God’s plan.

World Aspects Today:

In a chaotic world, we crave strength—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Yet, true security isn’t found in walls or weapons but in our relationship with the Eternal.

Reflective Questions:

  1. What sources of strength sustain you? Family, faith, resilience?
  2. How can you make your path more secure—by trusting or striving?

“Dear God, be my strength. Guard my steps. May my way align with Your purpose and will in my life, all the days of my life and beyond, I thank You always and lift You up and exalt You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

May this verse bring comfort and inspire us to recognize the prolific power and beauty of Christ, and may we embrace His WORD and through His Word and Love, may we all find strength and security in our journey, all the days of our lives…

DEAR GOD: Assurance Of Your Presence Is Reassuring~

In the book of Jeremiah, chapter 29, verse 12, we find a promise of a profound connection between God and His people: “Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” This verse is a beacon of hope, a reminder that in seeking God with a sincere heart, we are heard.

The Assurance of Being Heard

In a world brimming with ugly noise and overwhelming distractions, the assurance that our voice is heard by the Divine is deeply comforting. Jeremiah 29:12 is set within a letter sent by the prophet Jeremiah to the exiles in Babylon, offering them guidance and hope during a time of uncertainty and longing for home. It speaks to the moral imperative of maintaining faith, stirring our very souls and the importance of prayer, even when circumstances seem hopeless, grim and dire.

The Moral Imperative of Hope

The moral lesson here is one of perseverance in faith. The Israelites, far from their homeland and feeling abandoned, are promised that their prayers are not in vain. This teaches us that in our own times of exile—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—our hope should not waver. The act of calling upon God is an act of trust, a belief that despite our current struggles, there is a plan for our welfare, “plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Reflective Question

  • How often do we, in our moments of despair, forget the power of reaching out in prayer?
  • Do we truly believe that we are heard, or do we let the cacophony of our trials drown out our faith?

Today as we go about our business, be calm and confident knowing we walk with the LORD.” Be grateful to the LORD. For all we endeavor to aspire, in all we are, and in every moment, we are here on earth – it is a gift from God-and we should always be thankful and glorify our Father all the days of our lives.

Are you calling upon the LORD? He’s listening.

“Dear Heavenly Father, In the quietude of this moment, we reach out to You, echoing the words of Jeremiah. We call upon You, knowing that You are listening, that our voices are not lost in the void. Grant us the strength to maintain hope when the horizon seems distant, and the courage to seek You with all our hearts. May we always remember that You are near, ready to listen, and eager to guide us back to Your embrace, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

May God’s voice that is firmly rooted in scripture, invite us to reflect on the constancy of His loving Omnipotence and His Holy Presence through the power of prayer. May it encourage us to hold onto hope and to remember that we are never truly alone in our struggles.

DEAR GOD: Reflecting On Your Word & Hope In You~

Pin on Words to Inspire

“And now, Lord, what do I wait for?
My hope is in You.
Psalm 39:7 (NKJV)

Anchored in Hope: A Reflection on Psalm 39:7

In the quiet introspection of Psalm 39:7, the psalmist asks, “And now, Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.”1 This verse encapsulates the essence of hope as a steadfast anchor, not in the transient things of this world, but in the eternal and unchanging nature of God. It is a declaration that amidst life’s uncertainties, there is one certainty that remains: the Lord is a refuge and the foundation of hope.

The Bible is replete with affirmations of hope. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us of God’s plans to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us a future filled with hope. Similarly, Romans 15:13 speaks of the God of hope filling us with joy and peace as we trust in Him. These scriptures reinforce the message of Psalm 39:7, reminding us that our hope is not rooted in the visible, but in the promises of God.

The Moral of Hope

The moral lesson here is one of patience and trust. As we navigate the wilderness of our own lives, we are called to wait upon the Lord with the assurance that our hope will not be in vain. This hope is not passive; it is active trust in God’s timing and His perfect will. It teaches us to live with expectation, not for the fulfillment of our desires, but for the fulfillment of God’s plan for us.

In the stillness of our souls, we echo the words of the psalmist, seeking You as our singular source of hope. As the world around us shifts and changes, Your promises stand firm, and in them, we find solace and strength.

May we be like trees planted by the water, drawing nourishment from Your word, growing in faith and hope even when the seasons change. Teach us to wait with hearts full of anticipation for Your guiding hand in our lives.

We ask for the courage to hope beyond our understanding, to see beyond the horizon of our circumstances, and to trust in Your eternal goodness.

Reflection

  • In what ways can we cultivate a deeper sense of hope in our daily lives?
  • How does placing our hope in God change our perspective on the challenges we face?
  • What steps can we take to align our desires with God’s promises and plan for us?

“Dear LORD, may Your Word and promises secure my spirit in all I face during the day and night, may I be a humble servant set upon Your path, and ascribe to Your commandments all the days of my life, may I recognize the patterns of spiritual goodness and reflect Your light in all I do and say, this day and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

May this scripture and post inspire a renewed sense of hope and trust in the Lord, encouraging you to seek His presence and promises as the ultimate source of hope in our lives.

DEAR GOD: How May I Serve You Today & Always~

Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you-

1 Samuel 12:24

In the still of the morning, what do you hear?

Do you hear the LORD calling and drawing you near?

Do you realize that today, you’ve nothing to fear?

Do you realize He loves You and holds you dear?

I can honestly state that in the morning, I hear Him by the “silence” and peace I feel while eating my breakfast. I know through His Word He draws me near. I do realize that I’ve nothing to fear, and of course I know He holds me dear.

Recognizing the gift of His grace, and His infinite love is part of the “feeling” of knowing all of which I’ve just said above. His Presence is overwhelming, so much so at times I am dumbstruck. To think He loves me so much that He sacrificed His only begotten Son, for ME/ US?  That statement and fact is mind boggling and emotionally numbing.

We of faith know what happened. Christ suffered, died, was buried and resurrected. His blood set us free. He redeemed us. And we embrace it, fully and completely. But, when one takes the time to truly digest the concept and reality, the very image and thought leaves me wondering, why?  But then I know, and I’m filled with joy. It’s simply because He loves us so much, and didn’t want to be separated from us, thereby offering us salvation through Him.

So, the question becomes this? How do we serve Him every single day? There is nothing even remotely equated to what He has done for us.  But we can love Him, follow Him, praise Him, and do all we can in the capacity in which we can, and in all that we can every day.

We can get to know Him more and more by reading His Word daily. Reflecting His Word and love in all we do, all we encounter, and all we say. We can honor Him and meditate on His Word and try to emulate Christ in our behavior overall.

And to serve Him with unfailing dedication, platitudes of love and service Him by having a contrite and true heart, all the time, every time, and till the end of time and beyond.

Do you recognize Him? Listen. Look. Watch. He’s right there beside you!

“Father, thank You for Your visual cues, Your Word and Your promises, may I do all that I can to service You, today, tomorrow and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
