DEAR GOD: Thank You For Never Leaving Me~

Jesus Will Never Leave You | LaptrinhX / News

“…and lo, I will never leave you, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”  Matthew 28:20

In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus delivers a powerful message to His disciples, known as the Great Commission. This passage encapsulates His divine authority, His command to spread the Gospel, and His enduring presence with His followers. Let’s delve into the profound implications of this passage, supported by other scriptures, meditative thoughts, moral takeaways, reflective questions, and a closing prayer.

Divine Authority

Jesus begins by asserting His authority: “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” This declaration is a reminder of His Sovereignty over all creation. It echoes the words of Daniel 7:14, where it is prophesied that the Son of Man will have dominion over all nations. Jesus’ authority is not limited to the spiritual realm but extends to every aspect of existence.

The Call to Evangelize

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” This command is a call to action for all believers. It emphasizes the importance of spreading the Gospel to every corner of the world. Acts 1:8 reinforces this mission: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Teaching and Discipleship

Jesus instructs His followers to teach others to observe His commandments. This aspect of the Great Commission highlights the importance of discipleship. It is not enough to simply share the Gospel; we must also nurture and guide new believers in their faith. 2 Timothy 2:2 encourages this practice: “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

The Promise of His Presence

“And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Jesus’ promise of His continual presence is a source of comfort and strength for believers. Hebrews 13:5 echoes this assurance: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” No matter the challenges we face, we can trust that Jesus is with us, guiding and supporting us.

DEAR GOD: I Hear Your Majestic Voice Over The Roar Of The Ocean~

Waves crashing against the rocks | 바다

The ocean depths raise their voice, O LORD; they raise their voice and roar. The LORD rules supreme in heaven, greater than the roar of the ocean, more powerful than the waves of the sea.
-Psalm 93:3-4 (GNT)

“The Roar of the Ocean Depths: God’s Majestic Voice”

In the ancient words of Psalm 93, we find a powerful depiction of God’s Sovereignty and might. The imagery of the ocean depths raising their voice, roaring, and the Lord ruling Supreme in Heaven evokes awe and reverence. Let us explore this verse, drawing parallels to our modern world, and discover the timeless truths it holds. The Truth of the LORD and His Word!

The Roar of the Ocean Depths

The psalmist paints a vivid picture: the ocean depths, vast and mysterious, raise their voice. Imagine the crashing waves, the tumultuous currents, and the thunderous sound echoing across the waters. In this natural phenomenon, we glimpse the grandeur of creation—a voice that transcends human comprehension. It is the voice of God who created such magnificence, but His Magnificence supersedes this phenomenon and all else!

God’s Supreme Rule

The Lord’s Supremacy extends beyond the earthly realm. His throne stands firm from eternity past, and His existence predates time itself. As we grapple with the complexities of our world—political strife, environmental crises, and personal struggles—we can find solace in the unchanging sovereignty of God. His rule surpasses any earthly power, greater even than the ocean’s roar!

The Voice of God

But how does God speak? His voice is not merely thunder and tempest. It is gentle as a breeze, whispering truth to our hearts. In the cacophony of life, we must attune our ears to His still, small voice—the voice that calms storms, heals wounds, and guides our steps. Amid chaos, His whisper brings clarity and peace. His voice speaks love!

Moral Takeaways

  1. Humility: Just as the ocean bows before its Creator, we too must recognize our place in the grand design. Humility allows us to yield to God’s authority, trusting His wisdom even when our understanding falters.
  2. Courage: When life’s waves threaten to overwhelm us, remember that God’s voice is mightier. Take courage, for the One who rules the Heavens walks beside us. And is with us always! (Matthew 28:20)

Meditative Thoughts

  • What storms rage within you? Reflect on the inner turmoil—the emotional tides that ebb and flow. Seek God’s calming presence in the midst of chaos.
  • Listen for His whisper: Amid the noise of daily life, pause. Listen. His voice may come unexpectedly—in a friend’s encouragement, a sunrise, or a quiet moment of prayer.

Powerful Unity Prayer

“Dear Heavenly Father, You who command the ocean depths and rule over all creation, we bow before Your majesty. Speak to us, Lord, in the gentle breeze and the crashing waves. May Your voice drown out our foolish anxieties and doubts. Grant us courage to face life’s storms, knowing that You are greater. May we find solace in Your eternal throne, and may our hearts resonate with the truth of Psalm 93, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Reflective Questions

  1. How can you cultivate humility in your daily life, acknowledging God’s supreme rule?
  2. When have you heard God’s whisper amidst life’s chaos? How did it impact you?

May the roar of the ocean remind us of God’s Awesome and Mighty power, and may His gentle voice guide us through every tempest.

Three other translations below – all emphasizing God’s might and voice is mightier indeed!

The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their waves.
The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters,
Yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
Psalm 93:3-4 (KJV)

The floods have risen up, O Lord.
The floods have roared like thunder;
the floods have lifted their pounding waves.
But mightier than the violent raging of the seas,
mightier than the breakers on the shore—
the Lord above is mightier than these!
Psalm 93:3-4 (NLT)

DEAR GOD: You Never Let Me Down~

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you-
Joshua 1:5 (NKJV)

God and His glorious Light is always shining down upon us.  His warmth and capacity to love us is beyond our understanding.   And He helps us with anything we may need. He especially helps us through adversity.

Adversity is a benign enough word, but the true course of its meaning can be staggering to many. Most individuals will face trials and adversity at some point in their lives During adversity an individual’s true light and character will be exposed.  It is at that time when the rubber meets the road and true signs of the inner spirit will either emerge…or submerge.  People can disappoint, but God never will.

Recently an issue came to the surface that allowed a snapshot of a person whom I trusted, and respected, to appear… and the snapshot was a gross distortion of what I firmly believed all along.  It was truly an enlightening experience, and a sad one at that.  Without going into details, suffice it to say…it was a great upheaval and a large disappointment.  But I’ve prayed for this individual’s peace of mind, and for strength in the adversity that this person is facing at this time.  I know I have to step back from this person, and it is with a heavy heart I do so, but there is no other recourse.  Because even Jesus said, and whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them” Luke 9:5 (NKJV).

Although this individual disappointed me and let me down—and others may have done the same to all of you reading this post now.  Be of good cheer, know that GOD WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN, and GOD WILL NEVER DISAPPOINT.  For He is the same as He was from the beginning, and still sitting on the throne and in control.  That in itself is reward for our souls and our very foundation of life.

We live in the great day when God is pouring out His Spirit on all believers in Christ, filling them and empowering them to serve Him in holiness and great joy. Have you asked the Lord to fill you today?  Do so, and believe…because when adversity comes calling, you’ll be filled with His Light and peace to help you through.

“Father, thank You for Your unwavering love, promises, and truth, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: PRAISING YOU DAILY!!!!~

Psalm 107:8-9 (NLT)

“Let them praise the Lord for his great love
and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
 For he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things…”                                                                                               We do not need to look for things that we might praise God for. We can always thank God for His marvelous kindness, His faithfulness, His love, His miracles of mercy, for filling our lives with all that is good.   God is awesome in all He does. He loves us in all we do. And He is with us from our first breath to our last, and then we are home for all eternity.                                                                                                                                                                                                                               “Father, we give you thanks, and Glory, and honor and we thank You for who You are, what You are, and what You’ve done, and continue to do, we just want to give you PRAISE this day and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
