DEAR GOD: I Am Yours – I Surrender~

Surrendering To God - YouTube

So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 NLT

Surrendering to God fully is a challenging but rewarding decision that every Christian should make. It means giving up our own will, plans, and preferences, and letting God have His way in every aspect of our lives.

It means trusting that God knows what is best for us, and that He will work all things together for our good. It means obeying His commands, following His guidance, and seeking His glory.

It means relying on His grace, power, and love, and not on our own strength, wisdom, or resources. It means living for Him, and not for ourselves.

One of the reasons we should surrender to God fully is that He is our Creator and He knows us better than we know ourselves. He has a perfect plan for our lives, and He wants to bless us and give us hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 139:13-16, Isaiah 55:8-9)

Another reason we should surrender to God fully is that He loves us unconditionally and He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins. He offers us forgiveness, grace, and salvation through faith in Christ. He also gives us the Holy Spirit to guide us, comfort us, and empower us. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 8:1-2, John 14:26)

A third reason we should surrender to God fully is that He is faithful and trustworthy. He never changes, He never lies, and He never fails. He keeps His promises and He works all things together for our good. He is our refuge, our strength, and our help in times of trouble. (Hebrews 13:8, Numbers 23:19, Romans 8:28, Psalm 46:1-3)

A fourth reason we should surrender to God fully is that He is worthy of our worship and obedience. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is holy, righteous, and majestic. He deserves our praise, our gratitude, and our service. He commands us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. (Revelation 19:16, Isaiah 6:3, Psalm 145:3, Mark 12:30-31)

These are just some very strong examples of the verses that support the idea of surrendering to God fully. There are so many more in the Bible – if you take the time to read it, and get to know the Father and His love.

I hope they help you understand and appreciate the benefits and blessings of living a surrendered life. 😊

When we surrender to the One and only Master and King of kings and LORD of lords – our lives can be rewarding and fulfilling on every level, inside and out.

God is our weapon of defense in this ugly world of darkness. His light will extinguish the fiery darts the enemy throws our way. His ways and His love are a constant guiding force and sanctuary for us and all we do.

Have you picked up your Bible today? Have you spoken with the LORD today? Remember this, “He is always there and always waiting for YOU!”

“Father, thank You for this day in time, for Your love and guidance, for Your unwavering love and faith in me, I am Yours fully, forever and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Your Rain Brings Growth & Renewal~

What’s behind the behaviour? There’s always something. - Hannah Beach

“Into every life a little rain must and will fall.”  Thus, the saying about life and challenges and hardship.  There are storms that will lurk literally and figuratively throughout our lives. And sometimes — a life challenge will require enormous strength in order to get through it.  Strength as humans we cannot and would not achieve were it not for the Holy Spirit who provides the supernatural fundamentals in order for us to achieve and survive each storm we encounter.

Jesus Christ, and His power is released when we acknowledge our weakness and submit to Him and accept His help.  When we surrender, we can and will endure suffering and adversity while maintaining and preserving internal joy and His perfect peace.

When the ground is extremely dry you can see virtual cracks in the foundation.  When we strive to do things on our own it’s our “foundation” that’ll crack and dry up. We need the life force of our Lord to keep it from crumbling around us. Our souls are like the soil we need to keep it watered and nourished. We need His living water to sustain and nourish our souls.

When the sun comes out after a storm the aftermath is serene, tranquil, a sight to behold.  Dew seemingly sparkles like diamonds on the leaves of trees, on the grass, and on the flowers. A rainbow oft times will be present to further declare the power of God and His love.

We’ll all go through times of grief, sorrow and valleys of woe.  It’s faith and His love that’ll provide us the ability to catapult over the hurdles thrust in our paths.

It’s His strength that’ll pick us up when we are weak, it’s His hands of grace that’ll wipe our tears away and replace it with gladness and joy. He will deliver us from the suffocating grief or depressive circumstances we’re going through. He defeated death for us to give us eternal life. He raises us up at all times as we exalt Him and love Him and trust Him.

Turn to Him every day, acknowledge His greatness, and give Him continuous praise and glory. Seek His face daily and accept Him openly. God doesn’t promise that we won’t experience sadness and loss or hard times – however He does promise that He’ll uphold us with His right hand of righteousness, and He will bring us through it each and every single time.

The result?  The ability to be a vessel for the Lord as we attempt to soothe others as they’re going through similar circumstances we went through. All the while glorifying God and giving Him the praise and the victory!

“Dear God, thank You for all You are, all You do, and all You continue to do all the days of my life, may I glorify You in all I endeavor to do, today and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;-  2 Corinthians 1:9-10

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.   Proverbs 3:5-6

DEAR GOD: I Trust You & Will Never Leave You

Trust in God in the Midst of Everything Going On | AirMaria.com

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” –Romans 8:35-37

Firmly holding on to the LORD in all we do or say is a sign of a “mature Christian.” It is the dedication and introspect of His Word and knowing Christ intimately that gives us our forbearance and strength to endure all things, and still cling to our faith.

  • Psalm 28:7 – The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him

When turbulence threatens to upset your way of life or an untimely incident appears on your doorway – that is when the roots of our Christian faith are put to the “test” as we express our believe and trust in God.

  • Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Knowing He is there for us at all times is comforting and is one of the best things of accepting Jesus as our LORD and Savior. Knowing we are covered by His blood and that He ransomed us and redeemed us, and we are His, and He is ours!

No matter what circumstances you may be facing today, tomorrow or any day thereafter, have courage and be at peace – for the LORD God is with You. He will never leave you, or disappoint you. He is there for all the days of your life, and thereafter into the eternity.

  • Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever

Trust Him. Love Him. Talk to Him. Read His Word. It will make all the difference in your life. His promises are real, and so too is His love for you!

  • Psalm 46:10 – “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”.

“Father, thank You for being with me all the days of my life, may I be pleasing in Your eyes as I do all things unto You and give You all the glory now and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Guide My Paths O’ LORD

Psalm 85:13
Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

My husband and I have been saying and feeling we need to relocate and move closer to our family. This has been an ongoing issue with us for the last three years, the result-we are still here!  Why? Well, we just haven’t had a window or door open for us to do so. We in turn take that as a sign, that it is not time to go. That the LORD isn’t directing our steps “to get moving” and we only will do so, when it is God’s time and God’s will. Anything less than that – we won’t accept. Only God’s time and will for us. Because anything less than that – would be a recipe for disaster in our eyes. We place our trust and surrender our lives to Him. Jesus is LORD – above all.

Did you ever think that while you’re stuck in traffic that God is protecting you from an accident up ahead? Or when you’re waiting patiently at a red light that seems interminably long, that the reason for that long wait is God is protecting you right there too?

All things that happen-or don’t happen – happen for a reason. There isn’t anything that transpires that doesn’t account for a reason.

We will wait for the LORD (Psalm 46:10) and realize it is only Him that can guide us from unforeseeable events that we are not aware of. The Holy Spirit is gentle and will guide us with His hands of mercy and His untrammeled eyesight. When we listen, obey, meditate and serve Him justly, all things will eventually become crystal clear. The clarity will be unmistakeable, and the door and widows will open and remain so. And then all things will fall into place, like a huge puzzle that was missing key pieces to complete the puzzle.

Trust in the LORD, and He will guide your path (Proverbs 3:4) He is always there at the helm – waiting- and guiding. We just need to focus and be aware and mesh with His Word, and then in His time, all things will happen for our benefit, in the righteousness of the LORD who makes all things possible.

” My LORD – Please create in me a pure heart and guide me through all the passages and days of my life, guide me in the direction in which I should go, and hold me up while giving me Your wisdom to grasp the meaning of my days as I serve You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: You Are My Rock & All Else~

My Rock, Fortress, and Deliverer - Psalm 18:2 - A Clay Jar

I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”
Psalm 18:1-2

This verse from book of Psalms is powerfully moving. If you take the time to reflect and ponder on the Word, it will change your life considerably for the better. When we see what this means it should immediately bring an enormous comfort to your soul.

The LORD is my Rock! – Yes! He is just that! He is the empirical Rock of all ages. He is the strength for our souls. He is the solid foundation on which we stand.

The LORD is my Fortress! – Yes! He is just that! He is the substantial Ivory Tower of pureness and holiness that protects us from harm. That supports us from harsh elements/individuals.

The LORD is my Deliverer! – Yes! He is just that! He is the deliverer from sin. Our redeemer and our Salvation. He is the One who paid the price for our very souls. He is the One who was victorious over death, and with His blood we are delivered!

The LORD is my Strength! – Yes! He is just that! He is the strength of my being. He is the One who provides and sustains and nourishes me daily. He is the One who offers strength when I am weak, which is when He is the strongest.

The LORD is the One I trust! – Yes! He is trustworthy! He is the One above all else that I trust with all my heart and soul. He is the only One that never disappoints or lets me down. I trust Him and Him alone.

The LORD is my Buckler! – Yes! He is just that!  He is the One who thwarts evil. He is the One that stands against the adversary. He is the One that shields me at all times.

The LORD is the horn of my salvation! – Yes! He is just that! He is the One that gave me life. That washed me clean as snow. That offers me forgiveness, and eternal life when I am called home one day. He is the LORD. And JESUS is LORD!

The LORD is my high Tower! – Yes! He is just that! He is the Tower of high and fortified structure that provides protection and defense against all of my enemies. He is higher than all the rest. He is highest of high. And He continuously watches over me.

Today, as you stop, pause and reflect on God and His enormous love for you, may I invite you to read this verse. I mean really read it, and embrace the meaning behind it. Understand it. And truly appreciate Him and His love. When we take the time to read and ponder the Word, not just rush through it. But stop and ponder on even “one verse” and what it means to you, in todays times, and how it configures into your life, you will start to grow even more so in the spirit. We can never cease to grow in the Word. And no matter how many times you’ve read it, it is always new. Because God will give you new meaning each time, and you will find something “jumps” out to you as if the very first time seeing it. That is how God operates. That is who He is. And the Word is pregnant. It grows and grows and grows.

Go ahead and see for yourself. And get ready for your roots and spirituality to deepen and grow exponentially.

“Father, thank You for Your Word, and Your love, and Your protection, may I do all according to Your will and purpose for my life, today tomorrow and all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
