The Return of God in a Darkened World

In times of darkness and moral decay, the hope of God’s return shines as a beacon of light. Throughout history, humanity has faced periods of great turmoil, where evil seems to prevail, and righteousness appears to be a distant memory. Yet, the promise of God’s return offers solace and a reminder that light will ultimately triumph over darkness.

Scriptural Support

The Bible provides numerous passages that speak to God’s return and the restoration of righteousness. One such passage is found in Revelation 21:4-5: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’”

Living a Fruitful Life: God’s Commandments and Our Love

In the quiet moments of reflection, we find ourselves yearning for a life that bears fruit—a life that echoes with purpose, love, and longevity. As Christians, we seek not only to exist but to thrive, to honor the Creator who breathed life into our very beings. Let us embark on this journey together, exploring the commandments that lead to a fruitful existence, right here and now, yes – it still pertains to this very moment in time.

God’s Word – is not fleeting!  It is and has been set in stone since the beginning of time – we are subject to His Word, and should we veer in a different direction, the consequences will not be rewarding, that the LORD reminds us throughout. Our actions, or “lack thereof” have resounding and rebounding repercussions. Surely – God doesn’t want to lose us and invites us to accept Him (free choice) and when we do – we will be able to partake of the “fruits” and the “rewards” of Eternal bliss with our LORD – forever!

The Commandments of Longevity

  1. Obeying God’s Way: Deuteronomy 5:33 reminds us to walk in the way the Lord commands, promising well-being and prolonged days in the land we inhabit. Our obedience is not mere compliance; it’s an act of trust, aligning our steps with divine wisdom.
  2. Honoring Parents: Ephesians 6:1-4 emphasizes honoring our parents—the first commandment with a promise. By doing so, we create a legacy of respect, love, and interconnectedness that extends beyond our years.
  3. Seeking God’s Blessings: Exodus 23:25-26 teaches us to serve the Lord wholeheartedly. In return, He blesses our sustenance, removes sickness, and ensures our days are fulfilled. Our bodies fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-16), become vessels for His purpose.
  4. Walking in His Ways: 1 Kings 3:14-15 echoes the promise of prolonged days when we follow God’s statutes. Our choices matter—whether we walk in wisdom or wander aimlessly.

Preserving Refuge –In the quiet chambers of our hearts, we seek refuge—a sanctuary where our souls find solace amidst life’s tumultuous storms. Psalm 16:1, attributed to David, echoes this universal longing for safety and protection. Let us journey together through this sacred verse, uncovering its layers of significance.

David, a warrior and poet, understood the fragility of human existence. His life was marked by battles, betrayal, and danger. Yet, in the midst of adversity, he turned to God as his refuge. The word for “preserve “implies safeguarding, keeping, and cherishing. David pleads with God to preserve him—to shield him from harm and provide a safe haven.

Trusting in God Alone

David’s declaration, “for in You I take refuge,” reveals profound trust. He acknowledges that true security lies not in earthly fortifications but in the Almighty. In a world of shifting sands, David anchors his soul in the unchanging Rock. We, too, can find refuge by entrusting our lives to God’s unwavering care.

Psalm 149:4 states, “For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.” This verse is a powerful reminder of God’s love and favor towards His people. It speaks of a God who not only creates but also delights in His creation. But what does it mean for the Almighty to take pleasure in His people, and how does He beautify the meek with salvation?

The Pleasure of the Lord

The pleasure of the Lord is not like human pleasure, which is often fleeting and self-serving. God’s pleasure is deep, abiding, and focused on the well-being of His people. Wisdom of Life.: Looking for the perfect love....Fear, Faith, and the Love of God

Fear is a common human emotion that can be both protective and paralyzing at once. It arises from the anticipation of danger, whether real or imagined. Yet, in the spiritual realm, fear often stems from uncertainty and the feeling of being alone in the face of life’s trials. However, the love of God is presented in the Holy Bible through scriptures as our ultimate antidote to fear. It is through Christ and His love and His power we can assume our lives in peace, free from fear – or wrestle ourselves away from those emotions, through His love and His promises.

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” – 1 John 4:18 (ESV)

  This scripture encapsulates the transformative power of His Holy and Divine love. It suggests that fear is linked to the expectation of judgment, but God’s love, being perfect and complete, dispels all traces of fear. It’s not just the absence of fear but the presence of something much greater love. It is His Presence in our life, and His Spirit that dwells within each of us as believers to overcome and to forge forward with resilience and confidence.
