Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. It shows me the way wherein I should go, both night and day –Psalm 119:105

The Word of the LORD not only informs us of His perfect will, but His light on our path in darkness enlightens us and guides us to follow the right and avoid the wrong. The lamp of the Word is the LORD’s light. His light would blind our eyes in our present fallen state; but instead, we may bless the LORD for His light shining into the dark places, to guide us until He comes again, and then we shall we made capable of seeing Him in His glory!

“LORD, thank You for Your Light that keeps the obscurity and darkness from blinding us, may I walk in the path of righteousness, and do all according to Your will and purpose in my life, today and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”


“In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.”- Psalm 18:6 (ESV)

This verse beautifully captures the intimacy of our relationship with God. He is not distant or indifferent; He is a loving Father who listens attentively to our pleas. When we cry out to Him in our times of need, we are met with His unfailing love and mercy. His response is not delayed or half-hearted; He hears us and responds with the fullness of His divine compassion and power.

In our walk with Jesus, this verse reminds us of the importance of turning to Him in every situation, whether we are facing trials or experiencing joy. It encourages us to have a heart that is quick to seek God’s presence, knowing that He is always ready to listen and to act on our behalf.

“Lord-May Your peace and comfort surround us guiding ua through every trial and filling our heart with Your love. May we fully Trust in Your attentive care and find rest in Your glorious Presence, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”


Jeremiah 30:17 (ESV): “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the LORD.”

We know of God and His promises and His ability to heal and provide. When we have faith and accept Christ as our LORD and Savior, we will be able to access His promises and His love fully, and without fail. His grace and His love in unwavering. Loving God and trusting in Him to do what is best for us as we fulfill His plans according to His will – is a gift and a joy to behold.

“Dear Heavenly Father, we trust in Your healing power and provisions.  Fill us with Your peace    knowing that You are in control. Thank You for Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”


“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV)

 

This verse encourages us to bring all our worries and concerns to God through prayer. By doing so, we open ourselves to His peace, which transcends our understanding and can calm our hearts and minds even in the most stressful situations. It’s a reminder that we are not alone and that God’s presence is with us, offering comfort and reassurance. The takeaway here is the power of faith and prayer in overcoming anxiety. Trusting in God’s plan and seeking His peace can help us navigate through challenging times with a sense of calm and confidence. It’s about letting go of our fears and allowing God’s peace to fill our hearts.

“Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.” –Psalm 143:10

Surrender to God’s Will: In our daily lives, we often face decisions and challenges that can be overwhelming. By asking God to teach us His will, we are acknowledging that His wisdom surpasses our own. Trusting in His guidance can bring peace and clarity to our hearts. Even when we face difficulties, we can trust that God is working for our ultimate good.

“Dear LORD -Lead us into the land of uprightness, that we may live lives that honor and glorify You. Strengthen our faith and help us to surrender our desires to Your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”

 


“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”Proverbs 22:6

Proverbs 22:6 is a timeless piece of wisdom that emphasizes the importance of early education and guidance in a child’s life. The verse suggests that the values, principles, and habits instilled in a child during their formative years will have a lasting impact, shaping their character and decisions throughout their life. It underscores the responsibility of parents, guardians, and educators to provide a strong moral and ethical foundation, nurturing the child’s spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth.  When we lead by example, we’re fostering an environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. By doing so, we help them develop a sense of purpose, resilience, and integrity that will guide them through the challenges and opportunities they encounter as they grow older.

“Bless our efforts, Lord, and fill our homes with Your peace and joy. May our children grow to be strong, compassionate, and faithful servants of Your kingdom, In Jesus’ name Amen.”


“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” –Isaiah 26:3

Meditating on God’s Word brings wisdom, peace and a security blanket in all we endeavor. It is His promises, His love and His substantial provisions that allow His faithful followers to prosper and thrive in their lives. Trusting in the LORD is our defense against all odds and circumstances, when we persevere in the LORD, and align with His Word-we are made victorious-BUT only through CHRIST!

“Dear LORD, thank You for Your Word and Your promises and the blood of Christ that covers us and washed us clean, may we honor and exalt You all the days of our lives, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”


“I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.” –Psalm 119:14

The moral takeaway here is the importance of valuing spiritual wealth over material wealth. While riches can provide temporary comfort and security, they cannot compare to the eternal and unchanging nature of God’s Word. By rejoicing in God’s testimonies, we align our hearts with His will and experience a deeper, more lasting joy. In moments of doubt or difficulty, remember that God’s testimonies are a source of strength and comfort. They provide direction and hope, guiding us through life’s challenges. Embrace the joy that comes from knowing and following God’s Word, and let it be a light in your life.

“Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for the joy and guidance found in Your Word. Help us to value Your testimonies above all earthly riches and to find our true joy in following Your ways. Give us the wisdom to prioritize spiritual wealth and to live in obedience to Your Word. May Your testimonies be a source of strength and comfort in our lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” –1 John 1:7

The cleansing power of Jesus’ blood is a central theme in this verse. It reminds us that no matter our past sins, we are made clean and whole through His sacrifice. This cleansing is not a one-time event but a continuous process, as we strive to live in the light and grow in our faith. It is a powerful reminder of God’s grace and the new beginnings we are granted through Christ. When we walk in this light, we are not only in communion with God but also with one another. This fellowship is a profound bond that transcends differences, uniting us in love and purpose.

“Dear LORD -Grant us the courage to live transparently and righteously, shining Your light in a world that often feels dark. May our lives be a testament to Your grace and love, drawing others to the hope and salvation found in You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” –Romans 12:3

Romans 12:3 puts us in remembrance of “humility” and how important it is to the LORD to adapt and follow a life of humble servitude to Him, and others. It reminds us to approach ourselves with sober and judicious behavior towards others and ourselves! When we acknowledge the grace that is given to us from “above” we avoid” thinking too highly of ourselves. Instead we evaluate our actions and faith and act honestly and according to God’s will and plan for our lives!

 “LORD, may I walk in humble servitude all the days of my life, serving You with all of my heart and soul, and honoring You in all I do, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

 


“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.”- Psalm 19:1 

This beautiful verse by David emphasizes the vastness and splendor of the skies and stars. When David looked up at the creation around him—the immense array of stars, the sun, and the moon—he saw it as a proclamation or declaration of God’s glory. The world itself reveals God’s power and strength. So too we see His glory and power and strength to this very moment in time. His vastness and Omnipotence will not fade or dissipate. He is the same always. His handiwork surrounds us in overwhelming fashion!

“Dear LORD, thank you for your hands in all things, we know that You are the Creator of the Universe vast things and small, and Your hands are filled with unwavering mercy, grace and love, we thank You today and always in Jesus’ name, Amen.”


“But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.” –Psalm 103:17-18

The psalmist, King David, reflects on the enduring attributes of God—His mercy and righteousness. These verses remind us that God’s goodness transcends time, reaching from eternity past to eternity future. As we live in this world we are inherently blessed to have been given ‘salvataion’ through Christ’s blood. His mercy and His love is new each day. When we embrace that truth in all we do, we are reflecting His purpose and bringing testimony to His goodness and love. Let’s pass it on to new generations, as He so commanded.

“Dear LORD, may we be reflections of Your love and witness to Your goodness, today and all the days of our lives, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:” James 1:19 Listen to chapter

Let us take James 1:19 and embrace it as part of our everyday living. Let’s certainly be swift to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. In these virtues, we will undoubtedly find the path to understanding, compassion, and peace. May our hearts be open to God’s wisdom, and may our words reflect His grace in all we do, all the days of our lives.

“Dear LORD -Thank You for the gift of Your Word, which illuminates our path. May we walk in obedience, reflecting Your love to a hurting world. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.” –Romans 15:2

Romans 15:2 is a verse from the New Testament of the Bible that urges Christians to please their neighbors for their good and edification. The verse follows the idea that the strong should bear with the weak and not please themselves. The verse also quotes Psalm 69:9, which says that Christ did not please himself, but endured the insults of those who reproached God. The verse is part of Paul’s exhortation to the Roman church to live in harmony and love with one another.

“Father, help us to bear witness of Your Spirit in all we see and encounter along the way, help us to be servants of Your will and purpose in our lives, today and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

“Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.” Matthew 18:15

In this verse we find a profound principle for conflict resolution that is as relevant today as it was in ancient times. The verse encourages us to approach someone who has wronged us in a spirit of reconciliation, seeking to resolve the matter privately. This approach not only respects the dignity of the individual but also preserves the relationship by preventing unnecessary escalation. It’s a reminder that at the heart of many disputes is a misunderstanding that can often be resolved through open and honest communication. By following this guidance, we foster a culture of forgiveness and understanding, which is essential for any community to thrive.

“Dear Father, please show us the way to produce fruit and align with Your Word in all we do and say, may we all serve You with a humble heart, and fierce devotion all the days of our lives, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.” –Colossians 4:5-6

At the heart of these verses is the call for believers to engage with the world with both wisdom and grace. To “be wise” implies a thoughtful, discerning approach to interactions with those outside the faith. It suggests a strategic, purposeful manner of living that reflects the character of Christ. Making “the most of every opportunity” speaks to the intentionality of the believer’s actions, seizing moments that may lead to meaningful conversations about faith. The metaphor of speech “seasoned with salt” is particularly evocative.  Salt, in the ancient world, was not only a preservative but also a flavor enhancer.

“Dear Father -May our words be a reflection of Your grace, seasoned with the salt of Your truth. Help us to recognize and seize the opportunities You provide to share Your love and gospel. Equip us to respond to each person with the hope and gentleness that comes from knowing You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 

In essence, Hebrews 11:6 challenges us to examine the depth of our faith and encourages us to pursue a relationship with God that is vibrant, active, and pleasing to Him. It is a call to move beyond mere acknowledgment to a life of earnest seeking and trust in Christ for all things, each day of our lives while here on earth, and beyond!

“Dear LORD – May our trust in You be unwavering, and our lives reflect the joy of seeking You. Guide us in Your truth and fill us with the assurance of Your love, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”


“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25

Hebrews 7:25 is a powerful verse that speaks to the enduring nature of salvation and Christ’s role as an intercessor. It emphasizes that Christ is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, as He always lives to intercede on their behalf. This verse reassures believers of the perpetual advocacy and support they have in Jesus, who is both a Savior and an eternal Mediator. It’s a reminder of the comprehensive and unending nature of salvation offered through faith in Christ.

“Father, my LORD – thank You for loving me, upholding me through all kinds of weather, stormy and placid, and for providing answers, and for interceding on my behalf in all situations, all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

“For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.” Romans 13:6-7

These verses challenge Christians to be exemplary citizens, not just in adherence to the law but in the spirit of service that underlies their actions. By doing so, they bear witness to their faith, showing that their ultimate allegiance is to God, who is the source of all things, big and small. He is in control and ultimately we pay a “price” when we don’t honor Him in all we do, and that includes being an honorable citizen in life.

“Dear LORD, may I always be a reflection of Your laws, Your ways, and Your life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

 


“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” –Romans 5:6-8

 

Romans 5:6-8 are powerful passages that speaks to the core of Christian theology, emphasizing the unconditional love of God and the sacrificial death of Christ for humanity.  These verses articulate the essence of the Gospel message: that God’s love is so great that He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us, even when we were estranged from Him by sin. This act of grace is the foundation of the Christian faith and the assurance of salvation for believers.

“Father, may I always serve You and be grateful of what You’ve done for me and all Your children in the world, may I do all do glorify You today and always in Jesus’ precious name, Amen.”


“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” –Ephesians 1:7

 

Christ washed us clean by His blood.  By His grace we are forgiven and we have been fully redeemed, by His blood. We are new creatures set free, by His blood. Our Savior. Our King. Our everything! He did it all for us! What a gift, what an amazing precious merciful powerful God we serve!  Have you thanked Him today? Are you aware of this gift He has given to us so we would not be separated by our sins – so we can enter into Eternal rewards with Him? Have you accepted Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior? Embrace the gift of LIFE!

“Father, thank You for the precious Blood of Christ, my redeemer, my Savior, Your Son, I love You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

 


My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him-
Psalm 62:5 (KJV)

The soul that waits is likened to a fortress, unshaken by the winds of change, for its foundation is rooted in something—or rather, Someone—far Greater than itself – Our LORD! To wait upon God is to acknowledge a dependency that is not born of weakness but of strength. It is the recognition that the Creator’s wisdom far exceeds our own and that His timing is impeccable!

Dear LORD, teach me to wait with patience, to trust with unwavering faith, and to expect with a hope that does not disappoint. May my life reflect the peace that comes from knowing You are in control. In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.”

To honor and follow Christ all the days of our lives is to emulate and to be walking in the spirit. To honor His commandments, and to be with Him in all manner of speaking, acting, and loving. We will be mocked, and persecuted for His sake, and when we are – that we should be exceedingly glad – as Jesus said in Matthew 5:12.

When we listen to the conviction of the spirit within, we are better able to stand against worldly lusts, worldly desires, and all things not associated with Christ. We are able to pursue life with a zest and a determined face set towards what is right and what is inherently wrong.  Following His Word and aligning with all He wills for our lives – we are able to process life more readily and clearly in a way that we could not had we no belief.  Doing all these things – will assure us a life that will be worth living, especially when we give our all to the One who gave us LIFE in the first place!

When we are adorned in the Gospel Armor – we are invariably impervious to fiery darts or slings and arrows from the enemy! We are able to navigate and get around in the world and face things head on when we put on the whole armor of the LORD! The Word, truth, peace, strength and sword of the LORD – is the quintessential tool of gaining peace and prosperity in life, and that is only gotten through Christ! Amen.

God is with us all the time. Through good times and bad. Hapy and sad. Tears and laughter. And all the in between. He comforts, provides and guides. Each time we undergo a tribulation, we are stronger. It enhances our souls and brings clarity to our lives. We are able to help others in similar positions, and we can encourage them and bring glory to God for it. Are you stronger today because of a situation you’ve been through? Have you helped someone else through a horrible time? With God, you’ll be able to do that and more.

“Father, thank You for all the times You’ve been there, for never leaving me, and bringing me through all adversities and trials, I am Your servant, now and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Having a desire to commune with the LORD daily is a gift from above. He knocks on our hearts hoping we respond in kind. When we do and as we do-our lives invariably change almost instantaneously. It’s as if we gather the moss from our soul and it’s replaced with life affirming flowering beauty. The beauty is His spirit dwelling inside the moment we accept Him! Seek Him. Love Him. Know Him. – you will be changed for the better and you will start to really LIVE and LOVE!

Walking in the spirit is a fine art that is not easily accessed. It is something that becomes easier as you get further into a relationship with Christ. It is an area that eventually will become inherently more natural as you grow in intimacy with the LORD, His Word, and His love. Then suddenly all things change, and it’s truly as if a light went off in your soul. And that light is Jesus Christ.

“Thank You LORD, for Your Son, my Savior, Jesus Christ, may I always walk according to your plans and purpose for my life, today and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

A true testament of how much the LORD loves us by sacrificing His Son for us. He is amazing, and His love is boundless, and covers us with protection, and guidance and wisdom. God is forgiving, and wants us to live with Him forever, and so this should be a reminder of how much He loves us. As we go forward this day, live for Him, love Him, honor Him, and trust Him and His Word. And look to the cross in answer to all of your questions and inquiries!

This teaches us that hard work pays off, but empty words do not. Whether we work with our hands or our minds, we can produce something valuable and useful for ourselves and others. But if we only talk about what we want to do, or what we think we know, we will not achieve anything. In fact, we will lose what we have, because we are wasting our time and resources on vain things. This verse also implies that our words should match our actions, and that we should not make promises or claims that we cannot fulfill. We should be honest and humble in our speech, and let our deeds speak for themselves.

This particular verse expresses the duty of those who love the Lord to hate evil and trust in his protection. It is part of a psalm that celebrates the reign of God over all the earth and his righteous judgment over the nations.

The LORD is our Rock and our sanctuary on a daily basis. He doesn’t waver in giving it freely to those who follow Him. He doesn’t run off course and give it to certain individuals based on their creed, nationality or origin of birth. NO! He is fair, loving and openly accepting to ALL of His followers. We are inherently blessed by the gift of His grace and love.  It is something we should all sing about and praise Him continually from morning to night, and all the in-between hours of our day.

As One Body in Christ, we are to promote and uplift each other and emulate Jesus in all we do. We are representatives of Christ and Ambassadors in His service as humble servants.

We are all in a spiritual battle while here on earth in these flesh bodies. We have to be vigilant in all aspects of our lives and in all we do. The prince of the air is circulating and trying to devour us and spit us out. But let’s remember who has the victory and will remain victorious, Christ our King! So, do not be sad, rejoice – for our King of kings’ rules, and we all know He reigns forever. So suit up! And charge!  Hallelujah!

“Dear LORD, may I always be clothed in the Gospel suit and may I always be aware that we are in a spiritual battle, but I have peace knowing You remain victorious, as do we in Your precious Son Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Of course, the entire contents are equally reflective and powerfully in tune for those of faith. But winter, is a time I’m not fond of. Although earlier times, in youth, I loved it. Now old bones, and being a senior citizen, kind of lost its attraction!  However, I can still appreciate the beauty and landscape of freshly fallen snow. And the peaceful setting in which the aftermath is apparent. And most importantly, I am blessed and thankful to the LORD for granting me another season, Amen. Casting our cares and worries upon Jesus may seem difficult for some to do. After all, we love Him and don’t want to burden Him with our troubles. Besides, after what He did for us (John 3:16) how can we just throw our worries to Him? Well, it’s simply because Jesus wants us to. We need to lay it down, our burdens, cares, woes, worries because Jesus wants us to. It reinforces our love for Him and shows our trust in Him.  He “cares for us” and inasmuch, He wants us to lean on Him. When we do that, we will become invested in His love and promises and covered by His peace.

Taking time to reflect and meditate on God, and His Sovereign Power, and Omnipotence, brings a totally new perspective to any given moment of our day.

When we pray about an event, an issue, or whatever it is we are in fact searching for or in need of; that’s when we “need to be quiet and listen” for His response.

Sometimes that response is “silent” for a good length of time. And believe it or not, sometimes His silence is “an answer.”  Meaning…just sit back here, I’m in control of this and your life. Don’t worry. 

It’s kind of like when we were childen, and we were distressed and ran to our parents who assured us, “don’t worry mommy and daddy are here, everything is going to be fine.”  Well, so too as our Father, He is in control, and He will bring us through whatever we are facing, time and time again. Just like our parents did, oh so long ago! In fact, He will not only give us a bandage for our hurt, but He will also heal us emotionally, physically and spiritually.

So, being a Christian is rewarding beyond the measure of stars in the sky.  However, one of the most gratifying and encouraging things about being a follower of Christ, is that “we are all new again” and our “old selves” pass away, bringing forth a “newer and better” version of who we can possibly be, when we accept Him as Savior.

With this comes a myriad of ways to receive His Spirit, and to be an example of the transformation of selves, thereby solidifying our growth in Christ, and all things pertaining to Him.

Have you met Jesus? 

Have you accepted Him as your LORD & Savior?

He is waiting, whenever you’re ready, He’s always waiting.

It’s a New Year.  Are you ready for a “new you?”

Being in sync with God and His Word is crucial to our well-being and success in life overall. The Bible is a practical and handy guide to all that we encounter all the days here on earth. When we pray, meditate, read and “hear” His voice/His Word we will invariably possess all coping mechanism necessary to almost all of the circumstances and Giants we face every single day.

We will grow, prosper and give glory to God as our roots to God become deeply entrenched in Him, and in turn we will bear fruit.

“Dear Father God, may I always seek Your face, Your word, and Your love in all that I endeavor to do, all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

 

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

Because of our faith in Christ, we openly receive the promises in the Bible, and know that He will never disappoint us. God hears our prayers, and He answers us as well.  When we call out to Him, and pray, make sure that it is according to His will…because when we confidently make our requests known…we know that He will answer us eventually, according to His time, and His will, not ours.

How amazing is our God?

“Father, God thank You for listening to me, and answering my prayers, I know that it will be in Your time, and in Your way, according to Your will, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

God encourages us to “seek Him early while He still can be found.” And “Seek Him and His Kingdom” because then we will have all the desires of our heart.  When we call upon God, in times of both good and bad, we are getting the best course of treatment for our heart, body, mind and soul. We are guaranteed the best possible plans for the course of our lifetime. When we call out to Him in prayer, we are engaging in the best communication and the most intimate type of relationship we can ever hope to establish.  In other words, “God is the answer to ALL of our needs, wants, and desires.”

Have you taken the time to call out to Him today?

When we love God and walk according to His will and purpose for our lives, we are not only accomplishing that which He commands us to do, but we are going to prosper and be fruitful in all we attempt to endeavor along the way.

Blessed are those who “love God,” for all of the our rewards will burst forth, and cover us in this lifetime, and in eternity. When we are no longer needed here on earth, and our goals and purpose have been completed, we will then be welcomed into the LORD’s Kingdom, and receive our crown as a faithful servant.

As God was before the beginning of time, He always was, and always will be.  He hasn’t changed since the days and times recorded in His Word. His promises are real, to this very day. As He so lovingly and strongly reinforced to Joshua, “I will not leave you or forsake you.”  That in itself is a lifelong promise to “all generations” since and will be until the end of time.

How refreshing and rewarding knowing that we have God with us. The confidence is in knowing His love and His word is a blessing in and of itself.

Did You realize that when we exalt the LORD, we are not only pleasing Him, but we’re sending the enemy packing?

Many of us are facing harrowing times, and undergoing prolific changes. But there is one thing that remains constant and unchanging, and that is God and His love for His children.  It may be difficult to “sing out praises” while in pain, hurting, or feeling angst and despair, but that’s when we should harness the Spirit from within to “shout praises.” Each time we do that, it fundamentally changes the mapping of our mind, heart, body and soul. It helps to promote inner peace, as God guides us, and reassures us of His promises, while fulfilling every single one.

He will never leave us nor forsake us.  He is with us always, today, tomorrow always. Amen!

“Father, how grateful I am to have You in my life, I praise You LORD, I give you thanks, and worship You, there isn’t anything i can’t get through when You’re with me, in Jesus name, Amen.”

This is a scary time in the history of our country given the tumultuous things that seem to be transpiring rapidly, and seemingly with devastating repercussions that resonate throughout the “world.”  How blessed to be a person of faith to help us navigate with relative ease around the tracks of “evil” and discourse.  With God in our corner shining His light we’re able to catapult out of the darkness and into the net of safety, which is to say, “His love and protection.”  Fear not, God is with you, today, tomorrow and all the days of your life, Amen!

“Father, thank You for Your continuous protection and assurance, it is only through Your Word and promises I am able to exist through my trials and tribulations, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Continual growth in the Spirit and transforming each day to become more Christ like, is a common building block in the lives of Christians. When we focus on positive aspects, and refuse to indulge in negativity, those are the main and important ingredients in the foundation of Christ. God will then allow peace to engulf us and the turbulence of the world will thereby dwindle.

When we look unto the Kingdom, and seek His face daily, for our needs and desires, God will truly add all these and more, until our cups runneth over!

Listening to God and being in awe of His magnificence is an act of love and  obedience of a faithful follower. Communing with “our heart” is an act of recognition the LORD appreciates.  Being righteous, adhering to His will  and placing our full trust in the LORD will  bring eternal rewards of which we are promised.

When we actually place all of our fears and/or anxieties to God, He will truly “wipe” them away, and His steady hand, and His peace will overflow into our spirit and thereby bring peace and wisdom into our daily interactions, and  life overall. After all, “He didn’t create a Spirit of fear…”

As we walk with the LORD, we’re able to handle things in a manner of ease, and confidence because of His strength, Spirit and love.  When we do so, we’re able to offer wisdom that is from above, and comfort to those in need of encouragement, and emotional relief from whatever is afflicting or troubling them. We’re able to offer options and ease to those seeking help and understanding.  We’re able to do this, only through Christ, who imparts His peace and joy to those who partake in His Word, trust in Him and follow His Doctrine.

Patience is a virtue and a gift of the Spirit and putting patience into our daily lives is supported by God, and no doubt pleases Him immensely.  When we take a deep breath, and think before reacting, by meditating or asking the Spirit for help, we are being wise and through Christ’s vision.  Doing what we are supposed to be doing, each day, the best we can solidifies our union with Christ.  We are waiting for His return, and ultimately for our “eternal rewards,” but, while we’re here in the flesh, patience is a big part of spirituality.  Drawing on the strength of Christ, and His unsurpassable love, we are growing in Spirit and depth of soul.

Grow closer to God and He will grow closer to you, and then wait, for we will all be reunited with Him, one day soon.

Until then…be patient!

“Father God, thank You for the gifts of the Spirit, for leading,directing, and guiding me through this lifetime, I surrender to You and Your love, as I wait in joyous anticipation until we meet again, until that time, may I be ever mindful to do all things in accordance of Your comandments, and will, in Jesus name, Amen.”

The message here and throughout the Bible is that God is in “control” at all times.  His supernatural ability and Omnipotence are inherently what supersedes all else.  He can “break down” and He can “build up” and He can “heal” us and our land, should we surrender to His will, and acknowledge and trust Him to do so.  He is a consuming fire that ultimately will give according to what we deserve and will reward according to our “deeds” and actions here on earth and it will follow us to the “hereafter.”

“Father thank You for Your compassion and grace that is unwavering and ever faithful, may I do all according to Your will, today, tomorrow and always, and in so doing, give You all the glory, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Jesus calls us to lay down our lives and follow after him. He says that to live, we must die (Lk 9:22-24). He says if we would seek to gain our life, we will lose it, but if we lose it for his sake, we will find it.

Essentially, this passage encourages we do away with our “old selves” which would include previous passions, and desires. Instead, we live for the ways of Christ, and His desires, as His Spirit lives in us, and guides us to all truth, thereby empowering us to live a righteous life.

“Father, thank You for truth, light, and love, thank You for providing me “eternal life” and the opportunity to serve You all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Those who don’t know, or love God, walk in different areas, or pathways.  Consequently, most aren’t aware of the Magnificence or Omnipotence of the LORD whose mercy and grace are unwavering.  For those who choose Him, and His commandments, are very blessed indeed, for the LORD’s way is one of righteousness, which reap rewards here, and in the Eternity. Life today is so much better with God in our corner.  His presence and love allow us to proceed in every area of life, no matter the circumstances, in a way that we otherwise would fail, if not for Him!

When we go out and “present as Christians” we are in a sense representing Christ, and inasmuch, aspire to do things according to His doctrine and shine His light as a witness for others. He expects us to do these things, as He stated in Matthew, 28:20 to teach His gospel to all “nations” and stresses, that He is with us always, even to the end of the world.  

We have an inherent responsibility as Soldiers of the LORD, and we must try to remember this in all we do, every single day of our lives. When we get to meet Christ face to face, we want to be welcomed home, knowing we did all that we were supposed to do while here on earth.

“Father, help me to achieve that which You expect of me, and to represent You and honor You all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Believing is truly a “gift” from the LORD. Why? Because so many have eyes that remain “unopened” and so many have ears, that “do not hear” —Spiritually speaking, of course.

The LORD brings gifts from above, and one of them is granting His unwavering love and grace. It abounds in all we do, and unfolds, akin to blossoming flowers.  Recognition of God, and His Omnipotence, is justly rewarded not only here, but most especially in the Eternity. The Holy Spirit guides us while lending fountains of wisdom, ribboned with peace and assuredly.

When we keep our focus on the LORD, we are able to accomplish things in the world that we otherwise “could not.”

He will provide and show us the paths upon which to walk, and He will sustain us, and give us the desires of our hearts. He will shield us, protect us, and lead us to the greenest of pastures, and we will have living waters flowing from within.

His way is the “only way” and essentially the best way, after all His love, is beyond the scope of our human minds to comprehend. He desires the very best for us.  Surrender your life to the LORD and live your life, God’s way!

Words are words and many are said out of obligation, or due to a sense of societal norms, but “love in action,” is quite another scenario.

This is what Jesus refers to in this verse. He is calling us to “love” as He loves and loved. So walk the walk, and talk the talk.  In other words, our actions should back up our words.   Jesus wants us to “speak from our hearts” and not our mouths, and being human, sometimes that is difficult.  However, making a sincere concerted effort each day, while adhering to His Will, and loving Him, is a very good place to start…

“Father, may I do all according to Your will, and purpose, may I find favor in Your eyes in my deeds, and actions, and may I shine Your light to those in the dark, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Simon was showin great obedience and faith at submitting to Jesus’ command by lowering the net, yet again after fishing all night long without having secured one fish for all of his work.  Yet He followed Jesus’ without question and what happened?  The net was so overflowing in abundance of fish it was so heavy it nearly snapped due to the weight of his “catch.”

This is a prime example of how we should live today. Even when something seems futile, or hopeless, we need to “listen to the voice” of Christ, and heed the Spirit, which will ultimately guide us unto all good things. Trusting, adhering and believing in Him, is our inherent reward, today, tomorrow and always.

“Father may I continue to heed your commands, and follow the paths in which you guide me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Heavens declare the glory of God (Psalm 19:1) and those who are created in His very image are called to do the same (Genesis 1:26.) As children of God, we are to worship, and acknowledge His infinite glory, His Sovereign nature, and Omnipotence, in all aspects of our daily existence.

With hearts of love and appreciation, we realize without a smidgeon of doubt, that He is our eternal Jehovah, loving Father, and Creator. In so doing, our Spiritual growth will intensify, as will our blessings from above. Finally, our  eternal rewards and His promises will be fulfilled when we are called home. Amen.

The LORD expects us to do all according to His will and purpose for our lives. When we do, it should be done in honor and glory to Him, and we shouldn’t be complaining every step of the way.  Chronic caustic actions can be a detriment to our growth in the Spirit. When we do all things arbitrarily, we are not aligning to His word or expressing our undaunted love of Christ.

Shining His light and being an example to those we encounter is a responsibility of Christians. Christ wants us to shine “our lights” to those in the dark, and to walk the path of righteousness, until we take our last breath. It is then, we will reap our “eternal rewards” of paradise. Amen!

“Father, thank You for Your promises, Your word, Your love,  and all things, we are Yours and Yours alone, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

God’s promises are life sustaining and undeniably abundant in the Bible, and in life overall.  He never would promise that which He wouldn’t deliver on. After all, He delivered us from sin and redeemed us on the cross.  There is a plan that is fulfilling to all those of faith, and there is always balance, and provisions for believers in His Son. Nothing is ever unstable in the plan of redemption, and His strength and forbearance is the cup of richness through Him, and for us.

“Father God, thank You for Your promises, Your love, and for Your Son, we are roots within the foundation of Your plans, and will for our lives, may we be ever mindful of Your sacrifice, Your will, and Your love, in Jesus name, Amen.”

It doesn’t matter what it is, we must give thanks for all things. It may be exceedingly difficult when we are undergoing a trial, or stuck in a deep valley of hurt, grief, or loss, or whatever else it may be. The main thing is to Praise, and thank Him, for He alone is the One that will bring you through it. He will open a window, when the door closes, and He will provide and bring you out of what you are facing. So, today in honor of Him, and His love, and Omnipotence, say “thank You,” and realize He knows what you are going through, and He is with you all the days of your life, no matter what. Amen!

The grace of our precious God is a gift, we didn’t earn it…nor do we deserve it. It’s only through the LORD, who gave us His Son, that we are able to be cleansed, and fortified in Christ’s Spirit, and His action, which was for redemption of our souls.  In honoring Him, all day, each day of our lives, it enables us to offer up our love in a way, that is pleasing to the LORD, for we have no other way of repaying Him for His actions, or His love. What an amazing God we serve!

Father, we thank You for Your unconditional and never changing love, truth, promises and Your Word, we honor You all the days of our lives, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

The LORD is our strength, Rock, refuge, shield and stronghold.  No matter what challenges we may face today, tomorrow or in the future, it is because of You, that we get through it. How blessed are those who know this and accept You willingly.

You sustain and nourish us, with Your infinite love and grace, and we cling to Your promises, and thank You for keeping watch over our lives.  You bring peace to our weary hearts, body mind and soul, and You enable us with power, and boldness to approach You, in all we do and say, Praise You Lord!

Acts 16:31 is a concise and truthful statement, in a straightforward story of salvation, that emphasizes belief as the only condition for salvation, the only thing a person must do. Our object of belief is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, brought forth by God to redeem us through His death and resurrection.

He did so without “demands” or conditions.  He did so willingly and lovingly, so that we would be saved for eternal salvation.  Having then experienced the grace of God, those who believe should submit to the LORD’s will for their lives.

“Father, thank You for Your sacrifice, and Your overpowering love, that saved us from our sins, as we were redeemed by His blood, to bring us everlasting salvation, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Psalm 95 is reflective, and indicative of YAHWEH’S full Godhead, and His glorious Omnipotence, and power over all.  He lifts those who serve Him, with His mighty hands of grace.  He is our King, and all nations are called to join in His service.  He Reigns over the entire Universe, all idols are deserted, and just ONE is truly glorified, and worshipped in sincerity, and contrite and loving hearts.

“Father God, You are the Great I Am, and the Only true God of the Universe, thank You for Your magnificence, Your unwavering faithfulness, and love, I bow down to You and You alone, today, tomorrow, always, in Jesus name, Amen.”

We are truly blessed when we keep His testimonies, which is to say,  the whole word of God.  His scriptures are life affirming and truth, which is an emollient that truly covers our very souls.  His love, and His grace, through Christ,  ( His only begotten Son) our Lord and Savior, is inherent of our faith, and our whole reason for living.  Happiness, peace, and joy, are all  vital components that we invariably share, when we live in the shadow of the Almighty. David, begins this Psalm with bitterness, as he continuously laments, due to his distresses, while crying over his circumstances. Yet, at the end of this song of David, we see that he indeed appreciates the LORD, and takes pleasure in loving Him, and rejoices with an outward surge of confidence, and trust in His God.

When we rejoice in the LORD, and trust Him to do all things, and carve out a path for us to walk, while following Him in obedience, we are able to sustain all kinds of slings and arrows. For through the LORD, we are victorious.

Our Father loves us and wants us to prosper and be successful in all we do.  He wants our love and obedience and waits patiently for those who haven’t quite “met Him” yet.  When we follow His commandments and seek Him with all of our heart, we are able to tap into His love in ways that will transform all aspects of our lives.  Jesus followed His Father’s commandments while here on His mission, ultimately resulting in the salvation of our sins.   As for us…all He expects is that we “love Him” and respect His word, and each other, as we pass this way, but once.  And of course, to accept Jesus Christ as our Savior.

The best is yet to come, when we inherit our rewards in heaven, for all Eternity.

The LORD calls us to promote His ways, which at times will be contrary to the “majority of the world” hence, the “narrow gate.”

Most people don’t enjoy being held accountable to higher power. Same people don’t enjoy denying their flesh, or their senses. Thus, the “path being wide.”  In simplest terms, seek that which is right, which is good, and which is pure, which will align us with His word, and His ways. In so doing, we are assured of being on the “right path” and entering into His favor, which thereby will bring about eternal rewards.

In Psalm 18 we read of David’s response to the LORD, for answering His prayers, for deliverance from his foes. This is a theme and common practice of David, as he has done many times in Psalms, turning to the LORD for help, and guidance in his darkest hours.  And as always, our Father doesn’t forsake, as he comes to David’s assistance, time after time. Lifting him out of the pits of despair, and providing providence, protection from his enemies, and light over his life and paths.

This powerful verse gently reminds us that the LORD knows all of our motives, because He “knows all.”  We can’t hide our feelings, or sins from Him.   So instead of this being unsettling for us, the believer should take great comfort in knowing the LORD understands our heart, good, bad or otherwise.

We are convicted through the Holy Spirit of being uncomfortable when we sin.  So therefore, true salvation results in our being in tune with the Spirit and sensitive to sinning, as we are lead by Him. God knows all, and forgives us. Remember that the next time you get down on yourself.

And during our lifetime, and beyond.  He sees us, knows our daily struggles, our defeats, and our triumphs.  He is the One who holds us while we navigate all avenues of life, irrespective of who, what, when, and where.  He is our fortress, and He Reigns forever. Never feel “alone,” or “abandoned,” because He will neither leave, nor forget us. Now that is the inherent rewards of being a follower, and believer of Christ. How amazing is that my brothers and sisters?

For those who have accepted Christ, as LORD and Savior, this particular verse, and the enormity of its meaning, can pierce our hearts, as we understand just what Christ did for us.

He gave up His life willingly, and without complaints, while being quietly obedient, as He was brought to the cross, for us!   He fulfilled the scriptures, and God’s will.  Our Redeemer did it all, so we would be saved.  “By His stripes we are healed—along with an inner healing of spirit—as well as forgiveness of our sins.”

Paul, wrote the book of Colossians to help us with our spiritual growth, with an emphasis on Christ, being with us always.  Under the auspices of the LORD, who inspired, and lead him to write, Paul emphasized not to follow “false shadows” or “false teachings.”  That there is only one way, and that is through Jesus Christ, the source of all things. And hence our spiritual growth and gains through Him.  Christ, although absent from us in the flesh, He is with us “Spiritually” and dwells within each of His believers.

 My Sheep refer to individuals who, “hear His voice by faith; are known by Him, love Him, follow Him, keep His commandments, all the while with a believing and loving heart.

He tends to His flock like a loving Shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms, and carries them close to His heart. He gently leads the nursing ewes. He is our Master and we hear His voice, and remain in His fold.  He knows us, and we know Him.  In the end times, the goats will be cast aside, and the Sheep will be safely brought into the green pastures.  O’ Praise the LORD, what a wonderful time it will be…

This well known scripture of John 3:16, truly needs no explanation.  It is the definition of  love.  It has also been called the “Gospel in a nutshell”, because it’s considered a summary of the central theme of Christianity.  For those of us who know Him intimately, and follow Him fully, it’s a passage that reinforces our souls and hearts, each time we read it.  It’s a verse that stays ingrained in our essence. It’s a love that cannot be matched.

With the New Year 2021 starting, I think we can all collectively say, “good riddance” for it was a devastating year for so many. Lives were lost with the Pandemic pulling us into historic events that were life changing.  So many individuals lost loved ones, so many became ill.  And thank God,  so many recovered. But the repercussions were suffocating, and the fall-out is still being felt by the world.  However, during  the past year, and with the New Year upon us…God has been with us through it all. Hold tight to His promises, His light and His love. As we go forward together, let God plan the steps you will take, let His will be done, and may His light shine upon the world, healing, leading and guiding us all, in Jesus name, Amen.

Troubled times have no control over a Christian, or one with great faith, because we are “blessed” beyond compare.  We know the inherent rewards, and peace, that only those who follow the LORD, know.  Walking a path of narrow reserves, can be “difficult,” given the world, and its empty vapid chaos which can easily pull us in, if we’re not careful.  However, keeping our eyes on the LORD, can prevent derision, and temper our fate, and faith… for the better. Sitting with the LORD’s presence and guidance, and keeping distance from those who choose the “other way of living” will bring blessings, and great promises now, and for all eternity…

At times, words can stumble out of mouths without realizing the harm it caused. By that I mean, the repercussions of “words” that are not seasoned and prepared can unleash devastation in its wake.

Words should be carefully formed and seasoned with temperance, that encourages and uplifts those who need it. Jesus’ words were always kind, compassionate…we should in turn do the same.

Without Him…life is not life…with Him…we have LIFE.

His light overrides the darkness, and His goodness, prevails over evil.   Have you read His book?

Doing all we can as soldiers, in the “army of the LORD,” we are contributing to our eternal rewards, while doing His will and following His commandments. Prospering in life, in large part, is how well we follow the love, and promptings of the Spirit and how strongly we adhere to His Word.  “Pressing on” we endure as God leads and guides us. The prize ultimately, will be given in the Kingdom of the LORD, when we’re called home.

Living life is not always easy. In fact, it can be substantially difficult, during certain intervals or junctures. But, our enlistment in His army, assures us that we are given strength through Christ, our General and head of the army, and we can do all things through Him, and with Him.

Humans can be preoccupied with their own self-importance, which can culminate into a “puffed-up” attitude, and it invariably will extend towards others. Pride, is the tool and forbearance of the enemy. Conceit, vanity all the same thing, different words.  Same meaning.  Bloviating, extorting one’s own capabilities, or elating our self importance is sinful and not standing within the word of God.   When we exalt ourselves with thoughts of ourselves, it can become excessive, and therefore harmful to our spiritual beings.  If not for God’s grace to counterbalance us, we would be in danger of falling so far, that we might be pulled into an abyss of darkness. Thank God for His grace, and His light as He reconciles us with His lessons and love.

“Thank You Father for being the counterbalance to our sins, and our shortcomings, thank You for Your unwavering grace and love, in Jesus name, Amen.”

When Jesus instructs us in this passage to ” to not worry about bread, but to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God” He is teaching us how to LIVE.   As a Rabbi and Master He taught and instructed daily during His mission on earth. Along with “healing and performing miracles” He was our redeemer and therefore our Savior. Truly we are to be in tune with His Word and walk in alignment to His doctrine. When we do this…all things will fall into place as we are assured the promises of God now and always.

When we live, according to His Word and commandments, we are promised eternal rewards in Heaven. Loving your neighbor, is essentially one of the provisions that Christ demonstrated throughout His ministry here on earth. He came to “serve” and inasmuch, offered His love selflessly, ultimately paying the price for our sins and salvation. Loving our neighbors can be done daily, throughout our days on earth in many ways. Perhaps a phone call to check-in to see how they’re doing. Offer to go shopping for them. Or perhaps, bring them to the store a doctors appointment, or church. Or cooking a meal and dropping it off. These examples and good will toward one another is the blueprint of being a faithful follower of Christ and Christian overall.

God is speaking to His children here to allow them to understand, that He sees all, and knows all.

We cannot possibly run away, nor hide from His eyes, or His knowledge of us. We have God nearby at all times. Even when we cannot see Him.

At times, perhaps some might feel as if He has deserted them.  Alas, God’s affirmation and reaffirmation says differently. He is assuring us that He who has made Heaven and Earth, and all things…Creatures big and small…sees all, hears all, and knows all.

Reach out to Him because He is always near.

Never feel discouraged…God is with us. 

Even until the end of time. (Matthew 28:20)

God’s promises are never ending. They are time protected, as in “same today as it was back then,” when giving that promise to Joshua, who was about to take over for Moses, as he headed into the promised land.

Our mighty powerful and merciful God is here to stay. He promises that he is with us through every difficulty we face, and every problem that crops up or falls into our path.  So don’t be disheartened, don’t be fearful, and don’t be discouraged. God is here…right now…forever…and always.

Joshua had to put his trust in God, and word, and then go forward armed with the Word and His promises.  So too, today are we to meditate and embrace the promises of God. And, to trust Him with all of our heart, soul and might.  When we believe, and trust God, the possibilities are endless, in what we can accomplish.

Paul speaks from his heart as he brings us the truth and Word. He speaks of our freedom, from being tied to the law, along with our sinful nature, and how we’re adopted by God as His very own . We are promised the confirmation of adoption, through His Holy Spirit.

We are bound to Him, and inherent heirs by Christ’ blood and sacrifice. We cry Abba Father, and He hears our heart, and know our intentions, whether they’re honorable or not. He loves us…and gives us so many avenues of choice to solidify our union with Him, and to follow and love Him.

What is your choice?

Eternal life a gift from the Father of lights. Surely it’s only because of His grace and love that we can live forever.  Eternity.  The word itself is familiar, but how many of us truly delve into its meaning?  Eternity. That is a word that many of us have used throughout our lifetime. The lifetime which consists of “right here and right now” —and so shall we live it when we have passed on to the eternal kingdom of God.  As we proclaim Jesus as our Lord and Savior and accept Him, we are assured passage into Heaven.

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye many believe on the name of the Son of God.” – (1 John 5:13 KJV)

As we go forward in our temporary status of life here and now, don’t lose sight of “eternity” that awaits us.  We are here to serve God and follow His commandments and doctrine of Christ.  Amplify His goodness is all we do, every single day of our life, here and now.  When so doing, we are bound in His Spirit even more securely, and we are assured passage into Heaven as we live by example of Christ and His love for each and everyone of us.

While this verse is a favorite of many pastors, it at times, can be lost in the context in which it is meant. There are various forms of explanation for this verse, one being that it is referring to a specific event that was prophesized in the Bible. An event that would cause much weeping, but an event that eventually will pass…and with it, joy that will replace the sorrow.

But…the horrific event had to take place in order to experience the joy, that will ultimately replace the anguish.  I take from this verse, that although we all shall experience sad times, and devastating moments, God will bring us through it, and love us without fail.  When we read the Bible…we need to think and meditate about its meaning, and what God is trying to tell us.

And, for me…it is a source of peace knowing God’s anger will never last long…and whatever we have done, He will forgive us.

Walking in the Spirit of God, as is the standard of our faith, means we’re able to be present in His truth, and in His Word, which applies to all we are, and all we do.  His Word illuminates, bringing into focus all things that once lurked in darkness, which now allows us to “see.” Walking in the Spirit, becomes a way of life. The Word becomes a lamp for our feet, and a light for our path.  (Psalm 119:105)

With God’s grace, and strength, for guidance throughout the whole of our walk and conversation, in which the Spirit is the Author of peace and love, we will be able to perform better, and move readily, in all of which we do for all the days of our life.

Is your path illuminated?
Are you walking upon the path of righteousness?
Is His Word a lamp unto your feet?
If not—God invites you to see the “light.”

God appreciates a humble spirit and a contrite heart filled with overflowing love to the highest capacity when serving Him and walking on the path of righteousness. We are not worthy to be in His presence, and all sinners.  Yet, He gave His life for us, so that we would sit at His table in the eternity.  But, right now, this very moment, until such time when we are called home… we are called to share His Spirit from within to “those around us” and all we encounter.  A big part of that is humility and kindness and a willing spirit to serve Him the best we can. Honoring Him and serving Him isn’t only through prayer, meditation on His Word, and worshiping Him.  But a huge part of it is serving our brothers and sisters in the capacity in which we are called to do so.  Giving someone food, clothes, a hug, an understanding and patient “ear” or a smile is all prime examples of serving Jesus. And, that is never done with a prideful or boastful character. No. Love is gentle, and kind, and patient, as 1 Corinthians 13:4 states.

So are you prideful?

Or are you humble?

The choice is yours…

“Father God, may I always be humble in all my ways, may I be mindful of others, and may I live for You and worship You first and foremost all the days of my life, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Jesus, died for us, so that we may live forever, in the presence of the Father in Heaven.  The moment He died on the cross, it was “finished,” and the veil in the Holy Temple of God, ripped from top to bottom…thereby granting us full blown access unto the throne of God.

We are able to go directly to Him, thanks to the blood of His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I ask, “How blessed are those who believe?”

This gift of grace should never be taken for granted, and applied to all the equations of our life, for now, tomorrow and always. We should thank Him in peaceful times, along with the turbulent times.

His grace is worthy of our love and honor.

So, have you gone to His throne today in thanks?

The world is but a temporary residence. It’s not our permanent dwelling. We are going to be living in a much grander place. Living with the LORD for eternity.  Materialistic items, houses, cars, jewelry, clothing, etc., etc., all temporary.  However, God’s Word is powerful and His promises endure forever.  The lust of our flesh/world is an issue that conflicts with our inner spirit, and will eventually end when our flesh bodies die.  But, our spiritual body, our “real bodies” will last forever in the Kingdom of God…when we accept Him and surrender to Him.  How amazing is that? Redemption and the Blood set us free and in Jesus we live forever.

Seek the Lord and He shall be found.

Living forever in His Kingdom can you  think of anything better than that?

Those that believe have found the road to both joy and peace.

Why? Because of their relationship with God. The relationship is one in which we cling, with a inherent hope, and desire for His love, and His guidance. When we are right with God, and walk according to His will, and purpose; we sit, stand, sleep, and wake, with the acknowledgment of His promises. We are not bothered by the “world” but instead…find joy in His grace and love, and a peace that only He can offer.

The Roots of His Being, and His sustenance, is that which we “feed and drink” and the Spirit leads us in all ways, when we believe, and trust…and accept Him in our lives.

Look around, see the world, know the signs, and remember the promises of the Bible. They’re all there, thousands, and thousands of years old, but as “new as the morning sunrise” — He is with us always, today and always.
Unfortunate circumstances prevail but won’t trump God! God is the winner and Reigns Supreme and is the Omnipotent and ever present and Power Great I AM!

Knowing He is with us every step of the way is a gift from the Heavenly Father of light. He is the anchor in the storms, and the lighthouse in the fog, and the house in which we dwell all the days of our life.

Submitting to God’s Sovereignty in the midst of trial, crisis or dark time, is to cry out, Lord, even though I am not quite understanding what the purpose is for my current situation, I give myself fully to in and trust You completely. I know that Your word states, and that You will work it together for good. So, thank You my Lord and Savior.

So, we are to thank Him not just when things go great, or when we feel like getting around to thanking Him. We are to thank Him always, for all things, and at all times!  Believing in Him is good, but trusting in Him and obeying and submitting to Him in full supplication is quite another. It is the faithful follower that can undeniably give in to His will knowing its the best course of action for us, and our life.

“Have you thanked Him today for both good and tough times?”

David cries out here with true confidence and thanks.  He starts this Psalm off in sorrow and ends in joy. He is happy and quite sure of His faith, and delights in it. His faith was in full view here and He sings in joy and love for the LORD.  We are the same today. Nothing has changed. We all go through trials and deep dark valleys. But when we pray to the LORD and realize that the sun will invariably pop through the clouds, it shall happen. It will be according to His timing, not ours.  But, it will happen. Faith is realizing that eventually things will change, and that sometimes trials need to happen in order for us to grow.   David’s trust in the LORD—no matter what his enemies sought to do to him— was strong and he harnessed that faith in all of his trials.  Thereby consequently he was able to overcome his enemies, through God’s Sovereign power and love. Amen.

If you’re in a valley right now, hang on…because God is with you, you’re never alone.

How can we fail?  When He is with us, guiding us, showing us the way…we will have success, and prosperity, and the strength to undertake what otherwise would see impossible.

Chaos and fear seem to be running rampant in the world today, and that is just what the “enemy” wised to accomplish. When we realize the God is the Author of Peace and He is the Rock  we can rely on, no matter what is happening around us, the fear along with chaos diminish exponentially.

As long as we are living here in the flesh, there will always be strife, chaos and discord…but the overwhelming facts are, that God promises to sustain and protect us and His Word is 100% accurate and a bona fide guarantee that you can take to the bank and put in the vault!  His Word and promises are and always will be true and never cease to be anything but…

Remember, we are “created in perfect love” and in perfect love there is no fear, for fear causes anguish, and that is NEVER from Him (1 John 4:18). Instead, He offers, Balm for our soul and Honey from His Word, sweet sweet Words from Him.

Chaos be gone, my LORD and Savior is here!

God doesn’t break promises, we do!  He wants us to prosper and to be victorious through Jesus Christ, and with that comes “narrow paths” of which we should choose to walk upon.  There are many paths that can lead to destruction, the wide path is open to “worldly objects and subject to devastating” repercussions.  Whereas the narrow road leads directly to “God” and His Kingdom, which is what we should seek night and day, all the days of our life.

We have choices to make and judicious decisions to contemplate…however, not in our “own eyes” but under the auspices of the LORD, who has His eyes on us at all times. So we are to trust in Him always. (Proverbs 3:5-8) 

Which path will you choose?

“Father God, thank You for  leading me, guiding me, and loving me, may I always choose the narrow path which leads straight to You, in Jesus name, Amen.”

The LORD promises to lead us and guide us,  He is always available, should we want Him. He doesn’t want to “hide” from us, He wants us to seek Him in all we do. When we work hard for His Kingdom, He will always turn things to which He intends in respect to what is best for each of us.

Are you “listening” to His voice, and are you “turning onto the path” in which He guides you?  If so, hallelujah!

Isn’t it wonderful and a joyful existence to know that our LORD hears us and forgives us all our transgressions  with His divine mercy and grace?  Since we were made for an intimate relationship with Him, we find deep and ultimate satisfaction only with Him and through Him.  He is a forgiving Father, and His love is unsurpassed by any other.  Take delight in knowing that our LORD is good and He endures forever, and realize we should celebrate His love and ways all the day of our life.

Patience is a characteristic and fruit of the Spirit, and so it can be difficult, at best, to exercise “patience”  when we don’t have fruit to do so.

All of our gifts, come from the LORD, and at the same time, Jesus said, “you will know them by their fruits…”  So, it becomes a matter of becoming immersed in the LORD, and following Him, when we do, our roots grow deeper, as we become grafted in the LORD; with that, our fruits, will become apparent and thrive within us,  and of course, patience is one of them.

Waiting on the LORD, is abundant on so many levels,  first, we attain favor with the LORD,  another reason, we not only will prosper, as the LORD’s timing is the best, but we gain introspect into ourselves, as the Spirit will hone our inner spirit allowing for growth.

Next time we become impatient with our circumstances, whether it be waiting on a prayer, or asking for help in making a decision…remember God knows best in guiding us, and all of our paths.

How are you fixed in the fruit department?

When we are in the valley, or when the enemy comes against us, we need to realize that in “that dark moment” there is an ever present Light that shines, over and through, the darkest of  darkness.  We will rise through Christ strength, through our LORD’s grace. We are able to withstand the fiery darts by His grace and love.  He allows us to be victorious through Christ, in all things.

Please, always take comfort in knowing, no matter what the circumstances are in your life, no matter how dark,  realize that the Light will  shine, and the valley will rise,  and it’ll be okay because of His love, and promises; our weapons, are His Word,  and His love, and the Gospel Armor.

Our helmet of salvation, our breastplate of righteousness, shod our feet with the truth, and hold the sword up high (the Word)— and watch the dark turn into light! Amen!

Crucially vital to our faith is acknowledging all things were made by our Creator. Therefore, not only is He fundamentally our Creator, but He is the Creator of all things; “this Universe, us, the heavens, sky, ocean, soil, our homes, our clothes, our breath, our LIFE.”

Individuals are “supplied” materials in which to build, and foods of sustenance, but He is the “main supplier” and the One that controls all things, and sees all things, and knows all things. and IS all things!

During your travels today, and no matter what your current circumstances may be, realize, acknowledge and trust in Him that makes all things possible.  And, most important, love Him with all that you are and more!

Irrespective of current events that swirl about us, whether it be in the news,  family matters, health issues, or personal issues that plague us, isn’t it wonderful and so satisfying to realize that the LORD is with us always?  That no matter what we are experiencing, the countless minutes and days that can be filled with devastation, disappointments, anxiety, or concerns are easier to bear and get through by His protection, our Shield!

Trying times can be, well, just that…trying, and inasmuch, can deplete us of energy that can make it seem hard to perform any task no matter how mundane and inconsequential, but with the LORD as our Shield, and the “lifter of our countenance” we can not only get through it, but we can be “victorious” in and of it, thanks to Christ! (Philippians 4:13)

Each day is a new way to love the LORD.  So it stands to reason that if it’s a “New Year” it’s a “new year” to love Him for all of the days following.  Christ shed His blood because He loved us so much, and God sent His only begotten Son because He loved/loves us and wants us with Him for all eternity.

So Happy New Year, and Happy “Day” to all of us as we set in motion another day, and yet another fresh year to love Him in ways that will please Him, honor Him, praise Him, and follow Him, while shining our light which is to say “His light” to all we encounter.

This passage brings to mind the meaning of “bearing fruit” which only can be accomplished through those who “abide in Christ.” If we are separate from Christ, we obviously cannot, and will not bear fruit.  Jesus’ words are glaringly apparent to those who follow Him in obedience.  We cannot have any moral power apart from Jesus Christ, it is He who authorizes, and freely gives to those who accept His invitation to be part of His life, and doctrine. It is then, and only then, that we bear fruit, and  allowed full access to the power of His name, and His grace.

How are you doing in the “fruits” of the Spirit?

“Father God, I realize that apart from You, that I cannot bear fruit, nor be in accordance with Your doctrine, and will for my life, may I continue to glorify You through my actions, my deeds, and Your Word, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Jesus confidently assures us in this passage that all things are possible for those who believe.  What does that mean— “all things?” It would seem that Jesus, once again, is telling us that God has no limitations, and that with God in our corner, when we believe in Him, and that He is in control, He will honor us with His Sovereign ability to bring whatever it is into fruition.  “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) 

So keep believing, and keep harnessing the power from above, because when you do, life gets fundamentally easier to explore in ways that you’ve never thought before, that’s the undeniable power of our LORD, Amen!

 

“Dear Lord in heaven, thank You for your Son Jesus’ words to us, assuring us of Your Magnificence, and Sovereignty, we realize that with people, things are not possible, and that with You, in the center of our life, and heart, and soul, all things are possible, may we embrace that, and give You all the glory and honor, forever, in Jesus name, Amen.”

When we meditate on the LORD it’s not only sweet to our soul, allowing joy to bubble forth, but it is “sweet to the LORD” for He is pleased by our obedience, and henceforth, our commitment to be with Him, and obey Him.

With man, joy is fleeting and will diminish over time… but with the LORD, our joy is forever.

Delve into His word and get to know Him,  your cup truly will runneth over. Hallelujah!

Waiting for God is a different kind of “wait.”

It’s different from all the other kinds of “waiting” — for example,  waiting in line at a grocery story,  waiting in line at the doctor’s office, or waiting in a traffic jam.  No, those examples of waiting are in order… tedious, intimidating, and frustrating…to say the least.

But, with God…the wait is pleasant,  obedience in listening and reading His Word, while waiting for His answers, is soothing, and significant to being faithful followers. It’s saying “we trust Him” fully, and the wait is worth it.  When we wait for God, we are solidifying our faith, and acting on being a believer, in all He is, since the beginning of time.

Remember, there are different kinds of “waiting” — and the best kind of “wait” is when we “wait on God.

 

“Father God, may I always “wait for You” and recognize that everything I do, I do for You, and my paths are firmly and completely paved by Your will and Your grace, in Jesus name, Amen.”

When we place our trust in the LORD and follow Him with obedient hearts, we are immediately under His powerful wings of refuge and He shall be our guiding force in all that we do. He is the One Almighty powerful LORD that is our Rock and the One we can run to in good times and bad.  His grace and love are the powerful tools that are immersed in our souls as we take on our everyday tasks from the moment we are “born” until the moment we are called “home.”  And, then…our rewards for diligence, trust, and obedience will be brought to fruition and our rewards forthcoming for all eternity.

God is going to make a man/woman out of you. It’s easier said than done but rejoice in your hard times by looking for the Lord in your situation. God is going to reveal Himself in your situation but when your eyes are focused on the problem it becomes harder to see Him. God tells us to fix our eyes on Him.

When we trust Him with all of our might and realize that life consists of ups and downs, and that during turbulent times He will guide us through it, and never give us more than we can handle, and always show us a way out, (1 Corinthians 10:13) when we do, and keep our eyes on Him and trust Him even when it’s the darkest hour of our lives, we will get through it and God will eventually provide “joy for your mourning” and wipe away your tears, as you move forward stronger and closer to God than ever before.

“Father, thank You for Your constant and unwavering grace and love, without You life would be impossible to navigate, but with You at our Helm, we always get through the storms of life, thank You in Jesus name, Amen.”

Believers in Christ can be confident that all things will work together for our good and that God has a future planned for us. We have hope that “does not put us to shame” (Romans 5:5). We have been given promises to rely on, just as Israel was. Even though that was then, and this is now, God still rewards those who are faithful followers and believers of Christ.  Our Father wants us to prosper, and wants us to be with Him in Eternity, so this passage refers to “here” and also to “after” in the everlasting Paradise with Him and those who have their rewards coming for believing, and observing His Word and commandments.

“Father, it is comforting to know that You are with Your children who are followers,  and trust You, and obey You, may we always be pleasing in Your sight, and stay in favor with Your will for our lives, now and always, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Knowing that He is with us always, which mean this very moment folks, should be a comfort for all of us. There are horrific things happening in the world, as I type, and we have probably witnessed thing throughout the globe on our television sets, and some right here in our own neck of the woods, but…take a deep breath…He is with us ALWAYS.

The value of that reality is heartwarming, and can lead us to the Living water whenever we feel “dry” from the anguish we witness day to day.  We are able to sit or lay down in the “green pasture” to rest when we become weary from the overwhelming nonsense that seems to be growing exponentially these days.

So, my fellow Christians, and brothers and sisters, go to the Rock and embrace Him for His promises are good, as He is good.  So if Jesus said, “I am with you always, even to the end of time…” you can smile and relax and rest in His love and His protection.  Because, Jesus doesn’t lie, nor does He break a promise!

“Father, I am so comforted knowing You are with me throughout my days, nights,  thank You for Your love, protection, guidance and promises, I love You now and forever, in Jesus precious name, Amen.”

Listening to God can be challenging to some Christians. In this world of move, move, move, and barely taking time to stop and smell the roses, it can be difficult to sit, and “listen” for God and His direction.

Most of us run to God with requests, prayers, or talk non-stop to Him during meditation.  Which isn’t a bad thing…But, how many of us can honestly say, “I listen to Him?”

After all, how can He speak if we “are always speaking?”  Sometimes, we have to “sit still” and let God be God.

Listen, and know that He is doing an inner working on us, or a situation if we don’t “hear” from Him.  He is God after all, and He knows what to do and knows us better than we know ourselves.

So, stop…relax and realize, “God has got this.”  Then, relax, and know that the Almighty Sovereign Father, is doing His best for us, at all times, even during those times of silence.

“Father God, thank You for Your love, for Your ways, for Your ultimate protection and goodness, for Your grace, and for always listening to us, help us to “listen to You” and be mindful of Your presence in all that we do, and guide us to the constant realization, that sometimes we have to be still, and let You be You, in Jesus name, Amen.”

He hears us when we speak with Him in the privacy of our rooms, and He hears us when we speak to Him in a crowded room, or alone in our car on a highway.  He hears us as we sleep, He hears us as we eat…He hears us Always!

He loves us with the intensity of none other, and He loves us unconditionally especially when we follow Him and adhere to His will.

The LORD is with us throughout our life, from the moment we take our first breath to the moment we take our last.

So, the very Creator who created us hears us when we cry, and when we speak, and when we pray.

Remember that the next time you might think, “God do you hear me?  Are you there?”

The answers is an irrefutable and undeniable YES and YES!

Fear not for we are children of a King.  We received the Spirit of a great and Holy King that give us life and joy!  When we call out to Him “Abba Father” we are reinforcing our belief and joining to Him in ways that are unsurpassed by any other.  We are His and He is ours.  We belong to Him and do Him glory by obeying and being on intimate terms with Him.  So, fear not, know that we are children of a powerful living Sovereign Omnipotent God, and we are protected and loved by Him forever and always.

“Father God, thank You for Your love and Your grace allowing us to become heirs to Your Kingdom, in Jesus name, Amen!”

The Lord is the only One that can give us what we need, and the only One that can provide endless provisions in which we prosper and succeed at all we are supposed to do, when it is according to His will.

The LORD never said this world was going to be a “walk in the park” but He does promise that He will never leave nor forsake us. As we wait we impart wisdom as we get to know “Him” through all in which we do. We wait (Psalm 46:10) for Him to be “God” and to do His thing.  We need to stand back in order for God to work.  We need to acknowledge that He alone can help us, and He alone is in control. The sooner we do that, and the sooner we meditate upon Him and His Word, the sooner we will be able to fulfill our purpose in life according to His plan and His will.

Troubles come into our life, because that’s what life is…a series of “ups and downs.”  We will all have good times, and ostensibly into our life, bad times must come as well. 

When we have those tumultuous times, or sad times of grief, loneliness, or even moments when we say to ourselves, “why?” — know that God is our Rock in all that we are and all that we do. 

He is the present and everlasting strength that will hold us up, and guide us…and walk with us when we’re weary, and help us find our way when we’re lost.

He is there, always there…no matter our circumstances.  So, please don’t give up hope, or lose faith, because that is what the enemy wants…he wants us to doubt, and stay in a prism of fear or anxiety or grief. 

We know better, because God is our past, present and future. 

He is our rainbow and our light, and He alone will be our safe harbor through all of our storms.

Recognizing and understanding our faith is a daily and continual growth process.  As we journey we become more aware and more intimate of our Father’s love and our purpose of life here on earth.  It is a constant raging battle of good versus evil, a battle of the mind. 

When we give ourselves willingly and surrender to His power and love, we are walking in favor in His sight and we are pleasing Him.  As we journey, although the storms will come and go, it is the aftermath that is important, because with each storm comes a precision of finery. 

Our dross is falling off and we are getting shinier by each episodic adversity that we endure. But, most important, remember, that God is with us through it all. 

And, we shall live on in Eternity, because of His blood and His sacrifice.   

At the end…we will have within our sight, the rewards in which we work each and every day while we are here on earth. 

How glorious knowing we grow closer to Him by our acts and devotion, and how joyful knowing we will be living with Him forever.

As we place our trust with the LORD we gain insight that far exceeds what we originally had prior to trusting the LORD.

As we read His Word our love becomes for Him, blossoms into a steady, and intimate relationship, that enhances our lives considerably.

As we read His Word, we become wise.

We stand rooted in His love, and His Word, which ultimately begins yielding fruit, and ample rewards.  

His Word is our weapons of defense.

His promises are never ending.

His love for us ever present.

Trust in Him, love Him, and then watch how your garden grows.
