DEAR GOD: Increase as I Decrease O’ LORD~

He must increase, but I must decrease.

John 3:30 (KJV)

Standing back, and allowing the LORD, to be the center of our Universe, and life, is essential to our overall growth in the Spirit.

We have to depend on Him more and more, and go to Him in prayer, trusting in Him, and meditating on His all powerful word.. all lead to the what the verse in John 3:30 is all about.

Allowing God, to be “the most important aspect” of who we are, and what we do, is by embracing His word and promises.  Thereby, letting Him increase, while we significantly decrease in the process.

We decrease, by becoming more and more engrafted in Him.

We let go of “being egotistical” and self-absorbed in who “we are.” Instead of becoming fully engaged, and totally absorbed in HIM.

When we disengage our “selfish flesh,” we activate “the Spiritual.” When we walk in the Spirit, versus the flesh, we become fully immersed in the LORD.

He then becomes the sole concentration of who we are, through HIM, and HIM alone.  And our soul becomes adhered to His blossoming into a full blown garden of roses.  Instead of a garden of thorns.

Loving Him, trusting Him, and meditating on His Word, while praying to Him in supplication, and humility, we are gaining favor in His sight.

And we are assured passage into Heaven, while accepting Him, as our LORD and Savior.

Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God…and the Holy Spirit.  It doesn’t get any better than that!

“Father God, may I always be mindful of Your Presence in  life, may I always be subservient to You, while trusting You, honoring You, and obeying You, all the days of my life, in Jesus name, Amen.”
