For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart…. (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)

Jesus Christ is our High Priest and meditator.  It was established that He is the high Priest over Aaron and all else. “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.” – (Hebrews 4:15 KJV)

Jesus tells us to rest in Him. He calls us to do so repeatedly in many passages. To enter into full rest of the Lord, we must be believers. The doctrine of Christ and the gospel in spreading the good news are all part of enterting into rest.

He calls for us to Repent from sinful actions and have faith in God. To follow and believe in the Son and the resurrection are essential components to our faith. Rest in Christ therefore, cannot come without belief, and following Him. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. (Hebrews 4:9 KJV)

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.  (Hebrews 4:11 KJV)

Jesus tells us “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls” (Matthew 11:29 KJV)  When we obey and follow Him, and truly outline the commandments in which He spoke, we will find the true meaning of rest.

Rest comes from trusting in the Lord, obeying the Lord…aligning with His word, and applying His doctrine into our lives while attempting to reach others.  Rest comes from acceptance and surrendering to His will. Rest comes from “hearing” and “understanding” His word. We are His sheep, and He knows us.  His sheep know His voice and follow Him.  Rest comes from that knowledge, knowledge comes from His word, wisdom is knowing the Lord, and rest is one of the rewards of our discipline in our faith.

Eternal Salvation was His gift to us.

When we aspire to grasp the “higher realm” in which Christ lives, and purport to learn and get to know Him personally, we will find rest and peace.

That’s a promise from God Himself.

Don’t believe me? Don’t take my word or man’s word for it…instead—-

Read all about it in His word the Bible.  A book of love written for us exclusively so that we could live with Him forever and always~
