Dear God: Your Untrammeled Vision~

"...Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst: but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." (John 4:13-14 KJV)

“…Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst: but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:13-14 KJV)

His Untrammeled Sight~

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no  money; come ye, buy, and eat: yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? harken dilligently onto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. (Isaiah 55:1-2 KJV)

God will not only give freely of the Living water, but everything that will nourish our souls, and all that we need to sustain a life of plenty.  He wants us to seek His face on a daily basis, to interact wtih Him intimately.

The children of Israel often sought other means rather than be accepting of God. No matter how many times God showed them mercy, kindness, love…and took care of them over and over. While wandering in the desert with Moses.  The manna (angel’s food) falling from heaven, the “quail” and their clothes never wearing out.  Being released from Pharoah and his army, protected while the plagues were being thrust at Pharoah.  The Red Sea opening…endless miracles.  But, still they doubted, they murmured, they complained. They fashioned a golden calf and proclaimed it god.  And it was Aaron, the head priest, Moses’ brother who did the crafting of the calf. Imagine how God must have felt seeing this.

This generation continues through all of us.  There are those who believe and follow suit according to His magnificence and His purpose for our lives.  And, there are those who choose to seek other means, or ignore God totally. When we believe and follow Him, all things are opened to us. We’re able to face adversity head on with God in our corner.  He provides the strength to get through things when we have faith and look upward for all of our answers.

He has all of the provisions that He showers on us.  He sees ahead and knows all things,  God sees our need in advance and provides.  As long as we believe.  When we are afar off, we need to look up and see our provision…and believe.  Our awesome God sees ahead and knows and will provide.  When we have faith, and know He will provide…all things fall into place accordingly everytime, according to His time, not ours.

When we go “up to the Mountain of the Lord” we will learn His ways if we seek Him to teach His ways. He will show us His glory, when we seek Him in earnest.  His wings will always shelter us, and His vision is beyond what we see.  Let’s worship at His throne and know He is in control.  No matter how things seem, no matter how bleak…He is there for each and everyone of His children. We need to bless and exalt His name through all times, good and bad.

We declare Your glory Lord and worship at Your throne and surrender all to You.  And, we thank You for Your vision and provisions…all honor, power, and glory belong to You now and always.

Holy Holy Lord. Let all the earth tremble and proclaim His great and awesome name.

I love You Father, my Lord, my God…

Dear Father, protect us Your children from all evil that surrounds us, we pray for peace in this tumultous world, protect us and keep us safe in Your glorious sight, we trust Your vision and know You will provide all that we need at all times.  We pray for those in the darkness that they finally walk in the light, In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear God: You and You Alone~

(Exodus 20:3-4  KJV)  Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

“I have to get home and see the game on television today.  I wish this service would end already, I have to see this game. Geez.”   I’ve heard this in church, and more times than I can say.  My thoughts run to God and I think, “How does He feel hearing this?”   There are some who can’t wait to leave to go and clean their cars, their “baby.”  Some can’t wait to get on that social media and see what messages they missed in the last two hours!  Perish the thought that they should close their phones for the day, and stay away from the media, they might miss an important message!

This is not to “condemn” nor is the intent to sound like “judgment” calls.  We’re not to judge….that’s for the Lord and Him alone. He does a pretty fantastic job, He doesn’t need our help.  What this message is to suggest and bring forward is…take and make ample time for the Lord. Don’t rush His presence, or run on our own time.  Run on HIS time. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a game, or washing and taking care of a car…or socializing with friend on the media or otherwise.  It’s when we do it in excess is when we’re in danger of it becoming more than a simple diversionary tactic in our lives.  Because, when it takes us away for God and takes up our time is when it becomes an “idol.”

An idol is anything that take our attention away from God.  It’s when that obsessive behavior stops us from putting God first is when it becomes an idol.   The computer and the activities involved, when it becomes a personal quest, or fulfillment in our lives, is when it’s become an idol.  An Idol isn’t just a ‘graven image’ of Gold fashioned after a god, such as the golden calf in Exodus…which Moses’ own brother, Aaron the priest helped participate in.  An idol is more than that.  An idol is a  “car, cell phone, computer, video games, television, baseball, football, soccer” becomes something we put before God…then that is an idol.  God is a jealous God, and He doesn’t like for us to be putting anything before Him.

Satan is cunning and knows our weaknesses, he knows what he can do to get his foot in the door. When he sees an opening he jumps in…Don’t let that happen.  As Jesus said, “Be as wise as the serpent, but as gentle as the dove.”  Be viligent and watchful at all times. But be kind and compassionate to those around us all the while keeping our Gospel armor on as our weapons of defense in this world of duplicity and danger.

The things that people deem innocent or cute, are the wiles of the evil one.  That is what gets him a ticket into the lives of the ones who aren’t careful. Soon that obession becomes full blown, and God is pushed into the background, while the activity becomes first and foremost in the life of the one who isn’t careful.  That is what the evil one banks on.  That is his ploy, flattery, lies, feel good sensory things, and provocation against the Lord.

Heed the words of God. He’ll never steer you in the wrong direction. God is life. The enemy is death. God is merciful. The enemy is wretched and hateful, waiting us to “die” and to take our souls. God breathes life into us and provides food, and living water so we will never thirst again.

The great news is…God is a loving and forgiving God.  He knows His children, and wants them to prosper in all they do. He wants them to accomplish great things in this lifetime.  He wants them to procure the misinformed to come to Jesus and accept Him as Lord and Savior.  He wants our attention, and He will give back more than we can ever begin to fathom. We can never OUTGIVE GOD.

He will take us through whatever valley we are in, and He will never give us more than we can handle.  And, He is waiting for your invitation to take Him into your heart.  He is waiting for our love…always.

He came looking for us. He loved us first, and He died for our sin. He defeated “death” and offers us eternal salvation. His blood covered us and He redeemed us willingly.  He loves us.

All He wants is for us to accept Him so that we may have eternal salvation.  He wants us to acknowledge Him now, so He will acknowledge us in heaven before His Father.  He is knocking on our door, waiting for us to answer it so He can come in to sup with us and we with Him.  And, to put Him first…in all areas of our life.

The next time you’re in church…or not and you want to get to the “game” —or you feel an overwhelming compulsion to check the “social media” or “text messages” think if Jesus had put “your salvation on hold” to check His “text messages” or “watch a game”  or “wash His car” —where would we be today?

Put away your idols, and come to Jesus.  Make His day, and boy will He make yours.  Amen.

*****

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20 KJV)

*****

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. (1 John 5:21 KJV)

*****

Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. (1 Corinthians 10:14 KJV)

*****

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 10:32-33 KJV)

Dear GOD: Sovereign Beautiful GOD~

purpleThen will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. Ezekiel 36:25 KJV

Keys of life, living water, never thirst again…all familiar terms with the average Christian.  God’s wisdom, infinite and pure, beyond all scope of understanding.

Sovereign God. The Sovereignty of an infinite God and the humility of a finite individual. God is infinite.  We can only aspire to be all that He calls us to be, and pray it’s making our Lord happy.

We must be wise today. We must be diligent in all that transpires in a world growing uglier by the minute. As Jesus states in Matthew 10:16… “Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”  The words from our Messiah still pertain, and always will.  The word will not lie. The word is infallible.  What does that mean today?  Participate, grow in His word, be watchful.

We cannot just sit in church, clap hands, sing…we must go beyond the Sunday appearances, and apply all that we know every chance we can.  Don’t wait to be fed, provide the food in which we have acquired through His word, and learn to cook!  When we mature we’re ready to do what God calls us to do. Each of us has a part in this world, a reason for being here. When we hear His voice we are ready to walk the walk in which He has prepared for us…according to His will.

God calls all people to do His will.  It doesn’t matter the background, the education, the color, the size, the height or gender. He uses everyone.  For examples: Moses was a “murderer” when he ran away. He fled into the desert to escape the punishment from such actions. Yet, He was called by God to free His people and lead them across the desert. He became one of the most memorable people in the Bible,  a righteous man, the law-giver.  God  made Balaam’s donkey speak.  He used Rahab, according to “man” she was called a harlot…but  God used her for His purposes.  He qualifies people, cleanses them…and makes them acording to His needs, when He needs them.

We’re His trophy so to speak…he wants to take us back to showcase us, and say “Good job my faithful servant and child, good job.”   Be active, have compassion.  Compassion causes us to move and act…the Holy Spirt is compassionate, loving…and guides us giving us conviction.  We need to go forward in His light.

Is there anything too hard for God?  Is there anything God cannot do? God is Sovereign. It doesn’t matter what the doctor says, what an attorney says, what the teacher says…nothing matters, because God is in control and can change it all.  If it’s His will, so it will be.

Jesus came to serve, not to be served.  Serve the Father, if it was good enough for Jesus, how can we not follow accordingly?

Where will we be when we’re called home?  Will we be part of God’s trophy case?

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation: but is passed from death unto life.  (John 5:24 KJV)
