Dear God: Breath of Spirit~

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.  (Romans 8:9)

Jesus tells us in John 10:10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.   Christians need to latch onto His words and the true meaning of His statement. He wants to give us peace and joy that extends from His promise and experience it fully.  Most Christians understand the concept on “paper” but in reality don’t live the promises of Christ.  When we attach and align ourselves with Christ—comfort, peace, security and joy overflows.

When the Holy Spirit—also known as the Spirit of Christ—came to live with us He was offering us His continual presence and salvation.  The Spirit comes to manifest the presence of Christ, if we accept Him.  We develop a relationship with Him that grows in depth on every level and every aspect concerning our lives.

When we let Jesus work through us, and let Him in and become dependent on Him, we will begin to live a purposeful life according to His will. His works will begin to assimilate into our daily life, and the temporal findings of routines become visual tangible promises of our ultimate goal, His kingdom, and eternity.

The more pronounced our belief and submission to Christ, the more likely we are to understand the concept and apply it into practice by being “pro-active” Christians.

Lord Help your children embrace the Spirit within and go forth for Your glory, in Jesus name. Amen.

Dear God: Blessings Abound Always~

I Love You Lord

I Love You Lord

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8 KJV)

The magnificence of God is beyond measure when one stops to contemplate the superior presence of our Sovereign Lord.  The blessings abound within all aspects of our life…through threads of common ground extending beyond polar opposites.

We had a blessing last week when my sister became a “grandmother”,  for the first time… and my mom a great grandmother. Her youngest daughter brought forth, through the grace of God, a beautiful baby girl.  Her light is shining from within already, created by the Master.  The mother had a difficult pregnancy and a horrific delivery of which I’ll spare the details of.  I will share this… the baby, Savannah Belle—was not breathing when she was delivered and was blue.  They worked feverishly on her for what seemed an eternity, until she gasped and took her first breath of life!  God sought to bring her into this world, and for His hands for grace…gave the doctors the skill and wisdom to know what to do thus bringing about the happy outcome.  A blessing!  Thank you Lord, praise your name.

Life is such.  There are blessings all around us.  The blessings are in everything we see or do.  In our food, in our homes, in our families, in our children and our friends.  But, most especially in our hearts.  The Lord blesses those who “hear His voice” and follow accordingly.  He is a merciful God and a loving Father. He wants what’s best for His children at all times.

My niece (who had the child) was upset watching her baby cry as she had to have several blood tests done for possible Jaundice.  She was in pain seeing her baby cry, and being “tortured with needles in her little heels.”  While listening to my niece tell about baby Savannah a vision of God came to me immediately! The pain of watching His only begotten Son…and what He must have felt seeing His Son, Jesus– being tortured, and His heels bruised and nailed to the cross.  The thought is not in our scope of understanding in terms of God’s eyes.  But there was a blessing in disguise through Christ’s crucifixtion.  He saved the world from sin.  He defeated death, He resurrected and shines His light for all that wish to be a part of His eternal Kingdom.

There are always blessings around us…in happiness and in sadness. Throughout the interim of our earthly existence, we will endeavor to understand circumstances that come upon us, family members, neighbors, friends or strangers in the world.  We should be merciful in our actions, and shine His light from within…and recognize that while somethings are apparent immediately in terms of blessings. There are some things that aren’t transparent at first as being a blessing, but if we stand back, take a deep breath and let God be God…I promise that eventually we will see the blessings being showered upon us.

Rain today?  Rainbow tomorrow….

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, and I will be exalted in the earth.  (Psalms 46:10 KJV)

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many  (Matthew 20:28 KJV)

Dear God: A New Day~

But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18

But the path of the just is like the shining sun,
That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18

A new day in the Lord is an opportunity to further our walk of faith. It’s another day, by the grace of God, to fulfill our responsibility in sharing and spreading the “good news” and promoting the works of Jesus, our Savior.

*****

It is a time of refreshing renewal in the word as well as a continued advancement in solidfying our love for the Lord by acting in accordance to His will and commandments.

*****

When we unite ourselves within His doctrine and align our steps with His…we make God happy, and all good blessings will flow.  It is an automated response.  We please God, because we love doing it…He loves seeing it…and we bless Him and honor Him by doing so, and He blesses us in return.  Keeping in mind, that we can never outgive God, or out love God.  His magnificence is overwhelmingly huge. Sometimes, the realization of how huge He is can obscure our brains from comprehending.

*****

His ways, not our ways. His thoughts, not our thoughts, and His love…is what we should always remember each and every single day of our lives. A new day? A new way of loving. A new day? A new way of reaching out to someone. A new day?  God’s grace to allow it to be so.  Amen.

*****

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken throughout the whole world.  (Romans 1:8)

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.  (Romans 1:9)

For ye are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26)

Dear God: We Wait & Lean on You~

****
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
****
It’s difficult at times to wait as we ponder why a gap suddenly appears in our life. We wonder, why there isn’t a surge of continuation in terms of our purpose in the Lord.  God sometimes will allow a broken path for His purpose as part of His grand design in fulfilling our servitude to Him.
****
What does this mean exactly? It means that there are reasons for all scenarios that will appear in our lives. It might mean God has a plan that is being set in motion and it’s not the time to release it yet.  He might be preparing us for the plan, and so it’s clearly His design to wait before bringing it to fruition.
****
A gap may be representative of His bringing us to the fire to test our faith.  Or there may be a rough edge that needs to be smoothed, or a particular issue that needs to be resolved before He moves us along once again.
****
We wait, and we must obey His will and remain faithful to His plans which invariably are for our best. During the “lull” times, His hands are busy at work, although we might not see it yet. He may be in the process of restoration in a particular relationship in our lives.  Whatever it may be, we must wait for His okay before we proceed. We must sit and wait for His clearance, and not rely on our “own mind-set”  we must rely on Him at all times.
****
Abram listened to His wife instead of relying on God and His word and things got disastrous. In Genesis 16: 1-6 –His wife Sarai informs him of what he should do to take care of her need to be a mother. She wanted to produce a child for her husband so much so, she demanded he go into her maid Haggar so she might have a child. He listened to his wife’s voice, and not God’s voice or His promises. As a result, the maid Haggar despised Sarai, and things became ugly between the two. This wouldn’t have happened had he listened to the Lord, and waited for His instructions, and trusted Him.
****
Likewise with God’s children of today. There may be times we wish to jump over a hurdle in the road to get to the other side. We impatiently want to get it out of the way, so we can continue on our way. We want to react instead of waiting, listening, and being faithful to God.  Did we ever think that hurdle may have been placed there by God  to protect us? Maybe He placed it there because on the other side of that hurdle was a great big gaping sink hole ready to swallow us up!
****
We are under the protection of God’s wings at all times. When we follow, listen, and walk in obedience to His voice and purpose. We are part of His grand scheme and His divine will and we should surrender to it readily. That gaping sink hole ready to swallow us up may be “ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15). God always knows what’s ahead, we don’t. We need Him for all things.
****
The next time you see a hurdle in your path…look up, say “thank you God” for you narrowly missed that sink hole!
****
Then wait for our Father’s instructions so that His will be done for the true purpose in our lives…Amen
*****
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct all your paths.  (Proverbs 3:5-6)
