The Valley of His Perfect Love –                        by CD Swanson

I love the Lord, because He hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because He hath inclined His ear unto me, Therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live…

(Psalm 116:1-2 KJV)

It’s natural for issues to crop up during one’s lifetime, to be fair; it wouldn’t be life without spending time in the valley. It’s all part of growing in the Lord and being a faithful follower of Christ. We can grow in adversity, and get closer to God in the process. It’s how we handle the cards in our hands that’s key to our optimal health and overall growth.

It’s how we purpose our lives in accordance to His will and not ours. It’s how we handle the stress that will ultimately define our faith and course of action. We must wait upon the Lord. He’s watching and knows our situation. He’s waiting for our growth in Him. He wants us to learn before He brings about a solution. Sometimes, long delays are part of God’s overall plan…and part of His agenda on a larger scale. These delays don’t destroy us but fulfill God’s purpose, thereby making us stronger in Christ.

We need God. His timing is perfect, ours imperfect. His way is superior, ours inferior. We need to be patient and wait. We’ll gain insight and the fortitude in which to grow as we listen, and wait. We’ll reap the rewards of such diligence and loving obedience in due time. Above all, be still and know that He is God… (Psalm 46:10 KJV)

Lord, help us to be patient and to seek Your face for all things. In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear God: Your Presence Is There During Big or Small Moments~

Praise ye the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exhalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. (Psalm 112:1 KJV)

Praise ye the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exhalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.             (Psalm 112:1 KJV)

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (Psalm 37:4 KJV)

I realize that God is with us through all kinds of scenarios and have discovered that to be true too numerous to count…and today I had a moment where I was exceedingly frustrated.   My computer wasn’t recognizing my password and therefore wasn’t allowing me to get in. After several attempts  “login failed…password unknown”  I took a deep breath.

I shut down and tried to get by safe mode and go into recovery, but my keyboard wasn’t allowing me to choose!  This went on for about an hour.  I asked God for help, and His wisdom.  I called a “geek” squad, and they told me to bring in the computer and for about one hundred dollars they’d try to recover and make an attempt to get in.  However, if that failed, they’d have to install windows from scratch and I’d lose all of my info.  (I knew that myself…that is why I wanted to see if there was a way to get in without the process of reinstalling a new windows.)  Anyhow, to make a long story short, I remembered I had another keyboard in my garage.  I went to retrieve it, connected the old keyboard, shut down the computer…and lo and behold, I was able to choose safe mode and go into recovery default!!!  Hallelujah, and praise GOD!  He helped me…again.

I felt His presence with me the entire time…very strongly in fact  It was His wisdom that led me to all of the circumstances to figure this out.  And, behold, it’s done. Thank You God for fixing my computer!

Which brings me to the message for this post, no matter the circumstances, God is with us.”  He is with us, and will never desert us. No matter how big or how small. Nothing is too big or too small for our God.

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua 1:9 KJV)

The significance of His Spirit and His wisdom is what keeps us “going” in all that we undertake and oversee on a daily basis.  We should never believe “we do it on our own”–He empowers us with His presence from within, and guides us through all aspects thereof.

So thank You Lord for once again being there…how absolutely amazing You are! I love you so much.

Computer giving you trouble?–No problem, call God, after all who do you think taught that computer geek?

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And, if children, then heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.  (Romans 8:16-17 KJV)

Dear God: Make Us Good Stewards~

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God (Romans 13:1 KJV)

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God (Romans 13:1 KJV)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV)

We are called to be good stewards in all that we do through the course of our lives. It is the work we do because of Him that ultimately determines our eternity, which has been ordained and given to us by the grace of God, who has saved us through our faith.

God has a purpose for His children comprised of numerous factors, including sanctification, stewardship, and our services. Our continuous growth in holiness is essential to drawing near to God. When we surrender and submit to the Holy Spirit, our character will transform and become more like the Lord’s. And, our Stewardship—managing according to God’s priorities—will take on new and profound depths as we work according to His will. Our time, talents, and treasures are precious gifts created by Him and for Him.

We lovingly serve our Father through obedience and ministering to others, as did Jesus (Matthew 20:28). Our service for the kingdom is to mark our life in a righteous and Christ-like manner. During our “walk” we may come across road blocks— several in fact—but the Holy Spirit and His divine presence will encourage and support us in ways that man cannot. Remember, with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

“…that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;  in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. (Colossians 2:2-5 KJV)

Dear God: The Humble Are Truly Blessed~

Isaiah “Hearken to Me, ye that follow after righteousness, yet that seek the LORD: look unto the Rock…” (Isaiah 51:1 )

Isaiah “Hearken to Me, ye that follow after righteousness, yet that seek the LORD: look unto the Rock…” (Isaiah 51:1 )

The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way. (Psalm 25:9 NKJV)

God loves his children, one and all.  He may not appreciate how some of His children “boast” or sing praises on to “themselves,” but love them He does.

While listening to the news for barely ten minutes, we couldn’t get over how many people are so “in love with themselves” in terms of their behavior.  There were people preaching “their own sermon” in terms of what is politically correct, and then some of them were boasting “how significant” they were while promoting themselves in an overly vulgar display of conceit.

In 1 Peter, the Bible goes into detail about the last days, and how people will act. They’ll be lover of themselves, boasters, and denying God in their lives.  We’re already seeing the callous disregard of others in the news, on twitter, facebook, videos that go viral, and usually the content is something that should be an abomination to the average person, but instead…it becomes a fascinating addiction to most.

A sad example– a poor man that was dead in a revolving doorway, and people literally stepped over him and walked in and out “oblivious to this poor man” lying dead on the ground.   Another sickening example was the video of a young “man” laughing as he proudly “punched a senior citizen” while he spoke into the camera.  This is the breaking down of our society today. The world is becoming more and more desensitized in the human compass, and instead it’s spinning its wheels in muck and mire, all in the name of “fame” while boasting of their acts–a contest if you will– of who is the most outrageous. Workers of iniquity, in glaring proportions.

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.” (2 peter 3:1-5 NKJV)

Does the above scripture sound familiar? It really is coming to pass.

However, God promises His children following His doctrine, the secure knowledge of His strength, his protection and peace to get through anything. We therefore can and will withstand the pressures and the precursors leading up to the final days as it were.

Those who are “puffed up” in their “own accord” will not endure the pressures that will undoubtedly come their way. In Matthew 5:5 Jesus says,Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth...” This attribute of humility is a gift of the spirit, just as is patience, and generousity–to name just a few–and that is a tasty fruit.  Jesus also said,  in Matthew 7:15 –”You will know them by their fruits…”

God will uphold us with His right hand when we accept His ways and move in His name as a prime example for those around us.  When we grasp the meaning of His love and accept Him as our Savior, (no one can get to the Father but through Christ) we are awarded eternal salvation, and will we reap the rewards. The rewards start here, and extend far into eternity.

The King of kings, the most humble of all. A King died and bled for us.  He came into this world in humble beginnings, and waked with man because God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son, that whomever shall believe would not perish, but have eternal life.(john 3:16)  He doesn’t want to be separated by sin, that is why the Son came, so that we’d be with Him forever. The biggest sacrifice of all, He came for us, so that we’d not be separated by sin, but live with Him forever.  This King, died for us…and His Father, GOD–suffered watching His Son, and sacrificed so much so that we’d have eternal life. Amen. Thank you Lord!

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (James 4:10 KJV)

The world may be changing, but God is NOT.  He is still there for us, and will never leave us.  His ways are still the same, His words are holy and worthy, and His Bible is still His love letter to us. His promises are still there, there is no warranty on God’s love or His promise of eternal salavation and reward.  It is a lifetime agreement, that came with an inexplicable price. All we have to do is love Him, accept Him, and walk in His ways.  Our Father is a loving God, and a caring God…Praise His name.

Humble yourself in your daily routines, and don’t let pride trip you up. Pride is the “enemy’s biggest sin” and he is the biggest procurer  of it.

I choose humility, and accept His love willingly while I give thanks to the one true God and Lord of lords…Amen

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.  Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. (James 5:7-8 KJV)

Dear God: Days Are Complete Because of You~

We are creatures of habit, although our routines may differ, we are all brothers and sisters in the LORD, and it is this common thread that binds our souls.  The essential reality of LIFE is JESUS, because He is LIFE and therefore  our circle of completion.

Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10 KJV)

Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10 KJV)

This morning I had to take care of issues that might have been stressful to another individual, however…knowing God is with me and holding me with His beautiful hands of grace and love, the task becomes “routine.”

Faith is the reassuring blanket of peace, and our anchor that keeps us grounded, with love, in all that we do.  God and His promises, abound in all that we are.  His face looks upon His children, as He guides and supports throughout our days. His voice is heard above the roaring traffic boom, and His voice is heard and recognized throughout the day.  The days and nights, is always beautiful and peaceful with Him in our corner.

When we encounter someone of indifference to our beliefs,  it’s okay…because we are secure in His realm of love and His word.  His gospel is the best “clothes” we could possibly wear. To be clothed in  His magnificent armor, from head to toe, is the most beautiful outfit anyone could possibly own. The most joyous, and the most outstanding.

The travels of an ordinary day can be unduly daunting, but it’s always so much easier with Him to handle it for us.  The peace and love that prevails cannot be described, it must be experienced.  Trying to explain the joy that comes from being obedient to Him, is like trying to explain snow to a child living in Hawaii.  It can’t be explained, it must be experienced. And, the experience is one in which you’ll want to endeavor  every second of your existence.

The promise of His love, and His sacrifice so that He could save us from sin is for everyone who is willing to accept Him, and love Him. His word is infallible, and never changing…His ways are the same as they were since the beginning of time, and will be forever.

Are you wearing your “best clothes” that money cannot buy?  If not, pick up the best outfit you can possible invest in, the WORD of our loving and merciful Father. …The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.  (Isaiah 40:8 KJV)
