Dear God: Forever Your Child~

Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 2 John 1:3 NKJVToday, my mom after having been here (at our home) for 6 months, 3 weeks, has returned to her home that  suffered complete devastation due to Hurricane Sandy.  She, as well as my sister, lost their homes, but thank God not their lives.  The good Lord spared their lives, others hadn’t been as fortunate, as is the case with many storms, the most recent the tornadoes of Oklahoma.  We have thanked the Lord for His Hands of Grace that protected my family during their ordeal.  We forever bow at His throne, and give Him thanks eveyday for that incident, and everything in our lives.

My mom, although excited about the prospect of going home (300 miles away), was subdued, as was I.  We embraced, and began to cry, and at that moment…I felt like a little girl again, remembering how I never wanted to leave my mom’s side. I became a young child and realized, that no matter how grown-up I am, and no matter the age, I will always be my mom’s baby, and she will always be my mommy.

Which is how I feel about our Father.  No matter how old I’ve become, I will always be His child.  He will always be my Abba Father.  My Father abides with me continuously, He sent the Comforter to me, just so I wouldn’t be alone.  His presence provides the companionship and love that I need, and He gives back more than I can dish out.  We can never outgive God, and through Him all things are possible, and so it goes.

The connnection that furrows deep within brings me to new heights of awareness, and brings breath to my being. He is the aura of light, and the aroma of sweetness, He is the quintessential Superior Sovereign Father.

He parted the Red Sea, He provided Manna, and quail, He was the cloud by day, and fire by night, He brought the Hebrew children through the furnace, He protected Noah and his family, helped Joseph become the second most powerful man in the land, brought Job through the trials and tribulations.

He does ceasless wonders, His hands embrace the world, He sits and listens to prayers as countless as the stars He placed in the sky. He sits on His throne and is in full control, He preordained our steps, and offers us His never ending love.  He performs miracles to this day, and right now millions of people are being healed in Jesus name, and others will be witness to His divine power. He is the all powerful, holy holy Lord of lords, and King of kings, our one and only God.

I’ve acknowledged His word, accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior since I could remember, and live for His love and guidance, and realize no one and nothing surpasses His omnipotence.  And, I thank Him, praise Him, love Him…Always.

Yet, despite His Supernatural presence in my life, I will sum it up as follows.  At the beginning of this post, I mentioned that I will always be my mother’s “little girl” –and although my earth daddy was called home fourteen years ago, I will always be “his little girl.”

And, no matter how powerful, or big my God is…and HE IS–He will always be my Abba Father, and I will always be “HIS Child…”

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  (Romans 8:5)

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.  (Galatians 4:6)

For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.  (John 16:27)

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (1 John 3:1)

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. (Matthew 6:32)  God knows what you will need even before you do. He knows what is going to happen and will be there to protect you, and guide you.

This past week my husband had to go to a business meeting quite a distance away. It was approximately 90 minutes away without traffic.  He called when he arrived and called when he was about to make his way home. As always, I said  my prayers for his safe return, and waited.  The next call I received was when he was at our mailbox, “Well the good news is I’m home. The not so good news is the car burst with water and there is rattling and really loud noise.”

Well, the first thing I said was “Praise You Father for getting my husband home safely, and picking the mailbox, right in front of our place to break down!”  Isn’t HE AMAZING!!!

His Hands are always upon His children, and His love comes shining through all the time.  My heart beats with love for this FATHER of ours!   For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:24)

I just wanted to put this post together to give thanks to our King of kings, and Lord of lords.  He is the biggest treasure we can ever have in our lives. He knew what was going to happen and through His grace He granted my husband unmerited favor by allowing it to happen SAFELY.

Turns out it was two busted water hoses(the flood he spoke about) and axil & boots (the noise my husband heard) which could have caused some major trouble on the highway.  So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU FATHER. To you all glory and praise, now and forever.

Have you thanked him today for something you were annoyed about?  Perhaps not realizing He helped you out?

Have you thanked Him today for some minor inconvenience that stopped you from getting to a place on time? Perhaps it was to protect you from harms way.

Have you thanked Him today for all of your blessings, both big and small?  Have you really thought about your blessings?  I mean really thought about them and not take anything for granted?

Well, if you have…I’m sure you’ve made our Father smile.

If you haven’t He’s listening ALL the time…go!

Dear God: In You I Trust~

Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalms 46:10 KJV)

Proverbs 3:6 – In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

I was speaking with a friend regarding a mutual acquaintance who had in previous gatherings admonished us for our “foolish ways” regarding God.  We realized that this individual thought both of us foolish because we go to God for everything on a daily basis. My friend and I don’t judge anyone, so therefore, after our analysis as to why he thought us foolish, we spoke about other things that we had in common.  However, prior to moving on we both concurred that it must be an empty existence living without God. In fact it’s not living if it’s without God.

The trusting factor weighs in heavily when one is in tune with our Father. In aspects of all things in which we go through during the course of our lifetime, it’s fundamentally easier when faith allows the flood gates of trust to be opened. Where there is trust there is confidence and a buoyancy in our footsteps as we proclaim the belief that all things can be accomplished through and with Christ. Even at our bleakest moments the trusting barometer is at an all time high as we unabashedly realize that God will lead us through it.

1 John 4:18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

There isn’t any room for fear in our hearts or lives…because God’s love casts it aside.  His love is our proclamation and assurance that consistent peace will rein in our lives beause of His perfect love. Anxiety, fear, doubt, worry, however you choose to label it, and whatever it is you’re going through–Cast it away in HIS NAME, for fear is not made in perfect love.  And, in all things that He does and provides is perfect, warm, loving, kind and fulfilling.  In fact, His love is categorically substantial in providing all that we need, every single day of our lives.

Psalms 56:3-4What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

There will be times when the ‘father of lies’ will play with your head.  And, will push intruding thoughts of self-degradation into your mind. The very thoughts of which is the antithesis of LOVE–and hence, will bring fear…if we allow it.  Especially when one is vulnerable, that’s the time when the ‘enemy’ will cram the lies full force down your throat and into your head. Feeding you his sickening vile food and slamming your mind with debris. That is when you immediately push it away, don’t harbor any longer than a nano second!  Trust in God and look to Him for the answer to the doubts, guilt, or anxiety that the  enemy is working so hard at providing.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

1 Corinthians 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

Jesus freed us with His love.  His sacrifice broke our chains and we can rejoice and proudly state our freedom each and everyday of our lives.  We can live a life that is fulfilling while in our terrestrial bodies and smile with satisfaction knowing full-well that our celestial bodies will live on forever, thanks to our Lord of lords, and King of kings…our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 26:3Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Trust in God is our perfect circle of love, truth, and peace.  It is our infinite gift and the reason for tranquil nights and sunshine-filled moments.  It is the elevation of one’s soul as it advances fully doing one accord the purpose of which we were created.  It is our anchor of sobriety in this drunken world of hypocrisy, and the common thread of decency that runs through our hearts in which we love.

If any of you encounter an acquaintance that thinks you’re foolish in how you love God and how you live your life, pray for them in your daily prayers that perhaps they will one day experience the joy and peace of knowing, loving and trusting God.

Then smile knowing full-well you can TRUST God to fulfill all of His promises as long as we are willing to walk in His ways..

Psalms 37:23-24The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Dear God: Give Us Patience In All We Do~

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. (Hebrews 10:36)

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
(Hebrews 10:36)

Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. (James 5:8)

While lost in the beauty of a flower in a nearby field, I pondered on the magnificence of God the “Master” behind all of its splendor. It was during this period of time I thought about the entire process of this beautiful flower.  The soil in which the seed is planted, and then over a matter of weeks, the emergence of a bud, then eventually the bud leading the way to the full blown beauty of the flower.  And what are the two common denominators in the process?  God and patience.

Our Father wants His children to be diligent in seeking His face, and patient in all that we do.  Patience is an aspect of Christ that is fundamentally apparent throughout the Bible.  If we are to take on the characteristics of Christ, put on a “new person” in Christ, aren’t we too supposed to be patient?

There are times when many Christians will become inpatient, and want things to “happen right now” – but, to sit and wait, is to be whole in Christ.

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.(James 1:3)

There are certain scenarios that will suddenly appear in our lives that will test our patience, and sometimes our faith.  But, much like the process of the flower, with all of its equally important stages before it makes its appearance as a full blown flower, we have to wait for the stages to pass before the scenario resolves itself.

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: (Romans 15:5)

While engaged in a conversation with a cousin who was being obnoxious in terms of tolerance toward a certain individual (an in-law of hers) and found my spirit becoming vastly unsettled.  I was reminded of the above passage, Romans 15:5.  I gently led her to a different path of awareness, trying to bring her into focus of how intolerant she sounded, and was acting.  In so doing, she at first resisted and got defensive, however, with a little patience and determination, she was able to accept what she was hearing.  Eventually, this conversation helped with her marriage, because the in-laws were a big problem.  Afterwards she saw the “situation” in a different light…thanks be to God.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

When the Spirit gives a prompting, or a sense of urgency on a given scenario, subject, or individual, you’ll know it, and feel it.  The person on the receiving end, when the wisdom of the Spirit comes forth will accept it.  For God and His word is powerful, and sharp…and it will touch and pierce through the flesh right to the spirit of the person which has a higher capability in terms of understanding than the flesh.

So, today as we go forth in life, in His image, on His path of righteousness…let’s do so with patience, and love.  For the ability to engage in our life, as it were, is but a blink of the eye, compared to eternity. And, as we delve deeper and deeper into His word, and His ways, and embrace patience as part of our countenance in Him, we will reap our rewards where it’s important.

Christianity is a reality, not a religion–and, heaven is not that far, life on earth is fleeting at best.   Have patience my friend, and rejoice in His love, and your rewards will be plentiful, and your cup will runneth over…

=  =  =  =  =  =  =  =  =

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;  (Romans 5:3-4)

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.            (Ecclesiastes 7:8-9)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (Galatians 5:22)
