Dear God: Your Voice Calls Me~

I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. Psalm 145:5 NKJV

The “voice” of the Lord is clear and apparent to those who “hear” it.  It’s a sheer delight to serve the Lord in all facets of our lives.  When we commit ourselves to Him, our paths become a vestige of honor to Him and all that it applies.  His voice reverberates to those with ears to hear, consider these very words:  “Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established…” Proverbs, 16:3 NKJV

How do we commit our works to the Lord? There are many ways to do so.  Do not merely ask Him to bless what we’ve already done…Instead,  commit ourselves and our plans to Him before, during, and after we have done our work. The trust, the commitment and the acknowledgement are all forefronts to our vital plan.  His ways, His thoughts, His actions…translate to “ask Him, trust Him, embrace Him, and acknowledge Him.”  When you do so…consequences of all good things will transpire.

Consider a “budding rose.”  The bud is tiny at first.  Eventually, through care, love, and commitment it grows into a beautiful thing… much like our love and relationship with the Lord.  The more effort and time we put into the Lord, the more significant it becomes.  The deeper and more profound it gets.

But, now, O Lord, You are our Father;  we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8 NKJV…As our Father, God always will act on our behalf.   He acts for our benefit in ways that childlike minds cannot always understand.  As our potter, He ultimately molds us, and shapes us in ways that sometimes will hurt.  But, always He deals with us in love.

Take a moment to think about past decisions you’ve made, on your own without the Father’s help or guidance.  How did it work out?  Usually without His voice, or counsel if you will, things usually don’t go the way we’d like.  When we take the time to talk with Him, listen to His voice, and bring Him into the equation of our life…the outcome will benefit us.  We may not see it at first, because He sees way down the road.  He sees ALL things before its fruition, and so He knows what is best for us way before we even realize it. We may take years to realize it was good.  Therefore, don’t despair if things don’t happen according to your will.  Remember, His will…not ours.  His plans are perfect, our plans are anything but.  We may be puffed up and think we know what’s best for ourselves.  We need to be humble, and bow to His excellent works…and listen and adhere accordingly.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it…1 Corinthians 9:24  NKJV   We can accomplish much in life we don’t have a clear purpose and mission in mind.  The only way to consistency is through the Lord.  We need to take practice in all things, through Him.  Each time we accomplish something we draw higher and nearer to God and our purpose that He has for us.  Our works, our plans, through His alone.  We need to establish our mission in life, through Him.  His voice, His ways, and production will be overflowing in all good things.

Now these things became our examples…Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition…1 Corinthians 106:11  NKJV   Everything in the Scripture exists for our example, warning and admonition.  We should note what God’s people did in the past and how God reacted to them in order to move ahead in our own walk of faith.

When we live for God…all things connect in and outside of our very existence.  All things lead to peace and a transitional platitude of higher aspirations in and of Christ.  To hear His voice is to know peace.  To abide by Him is to know love.  To work for Him is to obtain a chiseled image in Christ, that reflects Christ as we uphold His light and shine our own light in His name. Bear witness in all things for Him, and accept His will and plans.

Listen closely…Do you hear His voice?

When His candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness…Job 29:3 KJV

29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22:29 KJV

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe  John 1:7 KJV

Dear God: With Supplication & Joy I Bow To You~

God is the creator of beauty and all things...and all things are made beautiful by His righteous hands~

I love you God…You are my King of Kings, and my Abba Father~

I bow in joy and supplication to God in all things.  In every way I acknowledge Him, and live to please Him in my daily activities of life.  For life is life, because of Him.

God has an incredible way of fastening His word to the very core of our existence. And, for those of us that want to hear and see it is powerfully addictive!  His essence runs through our bodies with ease and washes over us with glad tidings. He fully awakens our senses to capacities of which we have never known.

Each day is a fresh gift from God as we rise in the morning.  We are aware we have another day to serve Him, and another day in which to honor Him.  Another day in which to glorify Him through actions, through praise, and through our works.

Works?  What pray tell is that some of us will wonder.  We may over exaggerate our need to quench the desire to meet God’s expectations of us as His children. We may overload our wagon with so much that we get “weighed down” in our search for His face and His kingdom.  We may push ourselves into a perfunctory oblivion of “must do this” and “must do that” in order to be accpeted by God.  NOT SO!

God is pure and sweet as honey.  His love and acceptance is deep and fulfilling.  It’s like a cool breeze on a hot day.  It’s like a splash or spray of ocean water while we sit in the sun basking in the warmth of His glory.  It’s easy to be loved by God….and even easier loving Him.  It’s not a ritualistic task to love Him.  It’s like breathing…to love God is effortless because of His unconditional love.  His hands are always around us and He will guide us as we go forward in His name.

Our acts/works can be many things to many people.  It can be calling someone who is a shut-in and listening while encouraging them.  It can be reaching out to someone and letting them know they’re loved.  It can be taking care of your pets, your family, your friends.  It can be sending love and support to orphans, the elderly…or forgiving yourself for something you may have done so long ago.  God has already forgiven you…so move on.

God clearly states, “to receive one of these children in my name is to receive me” – so all acts of kindness, no matter how benign or extreme they may be…it’s all the same to the Lord.  It’s pleasing to Him and demonstrates that we are accepting Him as we do these things. Our rewards lie in heaven.  Our tasks on earth are setting up the clothes in which we will be “arrayed in” upon reaching heaven.

Truth, is a powerful weapon.  For truth is the very essence of Christ.  Love is powerful, it will tame the wildest beast.  Truth and love are cohesive and represent the strongest attributes of the Lord.  So many come to mind, but truth and love are the core of Christ and His good news.  He led His life by example, He was kind, good, loving and forgiving…He is our friend and Savior. And, so many other things…the list is endless.  The love is unlimited, and the desire overwhelming.

In so choosing Christ, we are a new creation.  We are recognized as Christians.  All things we do, we should do in acknowledgement of Him always.  We should go to Him in prayer, and supplication…and prostrate ourselves as we give Him thanks and glory.  We should go to Him in joyful recognition, and in seeking the boundless truth and love that He offers continuously.

His hands created all good things, and all good things are created by Him.  Have you thanked Him today? Have you told Him “I love you Father?”

Love Him fully, openly and privately…you can be sure, He loves you…

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17 NKJV

So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clotheyou, O you of little faith? 1 Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.     Matthew 6:28-34 NKJV

Dear God: Your Light & Hands Are Full of Grace~

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." James 1:17 NKJV

God and His Word are sweet, so very sweet and nourishing.  Yes, His word flows over the buds of my mind…and entices my senses with each nuance and message that is LOVE.

So many people are suffering, or going through trials, and although I’ve recently posted on this subject…the Lord placed it within my heart so obviously He wants it to be repeated.  And, so…I’m His obidient servant, and repeat it I shall.

1 Peter 1:7 states, “that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus christ.”   That in itself is reasuring.  All of us, no matter the age or circumstances all go through trials and fires.  The purifying process is precise and part of a closer union with Christ.

It is important to remember that God will NOT give us more than we can handle. Some people flinch at that comment, those who are not understanding…and those who are thinking with the carnal mind. Only when one is able to ascertain the meaning and depth of His words, and the full meaning of salvation,  it is then and only then  that they will be able to experience the fulfilling peace that engulfs ones soul.  The certainty of the immeasurable love that flows from God is so beautiful, it is hard to describe.

When we walk in the light, and show others our light it is then that our behavior comes credible to all those we come into contact with.  When we fasten our minds up with the truth of the power of God, that is operating from within…we are setting examples and praising God in the best way we can. How is that?  By walking in His ways, setting the footwork and producing fruit in His honor and in His glory.

God shows His children unmerited favor…that Lord always forgives even if we don’t deserve it. But, when we have a true repentant heart, and we ask for His forgivenss, He will forgive.  That is so important to express, because if one person reading this now…is going through some kind of anguish, or feeling guilt, God loves you.  He forgives you.  God will never condemn or bring shame to your cheeks.  He wants your love.

His light is the greatest gift of all.  His sturdy arms is our strength and His words are defense to all of the impurities in the world.  So, while we are walking through a valley, or a fire…hang on, He will bring you out of it.  He will uphold you with His righteous hand.  He will protect you, guide you, keep you upright and push you forward.  Trust in Him, lean on Him, acknowledge Him…LOVE HIM.  That is the primary principles of loving Him.  And He should be loved with the all of our might, mind, body and soul.  He is our Creator, our Father and our Beloved.

So, walk in the light…look up for answers to everything and anything.  And give Him all honor and praise always,  no matter what you are going through.  He sees your heart, and He is cleansing and preparing you, doing an inner working, polishing and cleaning us, bringing us closer to His path each moment.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.  Psalm 57:7-11 KJV

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.  Psalm 3:5-8 KJV

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.  Ecclesiastes  9:4 KJV

Dear God:We Move & Live By You Alone~

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Matthew 6:26 NKJV

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I santified you…” Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV

Every time I see that verse I tingle…just take a look at that verse from Jeremiah.  The meaning behind that verse is prolific and overwhelming.  He knew us before he formed us in the womb.  And, in comparison, the well-known verse from Matthew 6:26.  He feeds the birds of the air…He knows every bird that He created.

The above comparison is but a glimpse of the magnitude in which and how our Father operates.  As I sit here writing this post, He knows before I do what I will write.  He knows how many hairs I have on my very head.  He knows my heart, He knows my soul…and most important of all- He loves me.

All of which goes on during our day, the Father is aware of.  He sees ALL, He knows ALL.  He hears, and watches, and looks at everything we do.  So, when we’re alone…nope, we’re never alone. He is with us always. He promised He would never leave us or forsake us.  He is with us, guiding us, showing us, leading us, advising us. He brings His promises to the forefront of His very Word.  The good news, the Bible.  All that’s contained within is life changing and a way of life for so many.

The New Year brings resolutions to so many.  “I have to lose weight…I have to get a better job…I have to find someone to love….I have to find the perfect house…I vow to give up sweets…I vow to give up smoking…”  So, on and so forth.  The list is endless and as diversified as a multicolored kaleidoscope.  But usually in their quest for perfection, there is something glaringly absent from their “vows” of resolutions…GOD.

When we try to do things on our own volition and strength, we most assuredly will fail.  Perhaps for a little while, some people may prosper…but I can assure you the limits of their prosperity will be short-term..  Without God things will not manifest in the way we wish them to. It has been my experience that those who confer with God, and wait upon the Lord will be blessed… and have been blessed.  His tolerance and giving nature, allows for all good things to transpire for His children.  The children who are obedient to His word and will, and His laws, which come down to His commandments and promises, will bloom and feel peace.  They will see things in a different way than those who don’t know or have an intimate relationship with God.

Our Father wants us to prosper, and to be healthy and happy.  We need to call upon His amazingly phenomenal presence and omnipotent power accordingly.  We need to acquiesce to the Spirit, “yield if you will” to the Glory of God.  It is only then that all things will come to pass.  Our willingness to obide by His will, and not ours is critical to our optimal well-being.  His glory and love sustain us and bring us through all trials and fires, and we will emerge from them  refined  and chiseled resembling God more and more each time. And, remember this important fact, God never gives you what you cannot handle…and He will ALWAYS show you a way out.

This year bring a reality to your resolution…get to know God a little better.  I will guarantee the Lord will uphold you with His righteous hand as He brings you toward His safe harbor.  His love will fulfill your needs and desires, and His arms will encircle you while He shines His light upon your face

It is God who arms me with strength,
And makes my way perfect.
33 He makes my feet like the feet of deer,
And sets me on my high places. Psalm 18:32-33 NKJV

13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthian 10:13 NKJV

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment…Mark 12:30 NKJV

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’  Isaiah 41:10 NKJV
