Dear God:Time Is Precious and Fleeting…But Eternity is Forever~

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. "

Matthew 6:34 NKJV ” Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

We are here but for a fleeting moment.  A brief season.  We serve as conduits for His Spirit as we glide through life.  We are in accordance to His purpose, and His commandments.  We are all here for a reason.

Some individuals may be here longer than others.  Some barely got their feet wet.  Some have passed on before they had the chance to do things, or accomplish all they longed to.

For those of us who have had the chance, and good fortune to have accomplished things, in accordance to His purpose…we are blessed indeed.  Those of us who have accepted Jesus Christ into our lives, and recognize Him as our one and only Savior, and King of Kings…we are fortunate beyond measure. We have a driven energy that courses within.  We have the love and desire to please Him…and we listen for His voice.  We move in accordance to His perfect will and perfect timing.

We cannot do it alone.  Our lives are merely shadows without His light “shining on us.” It is His light that takes us so boldy into the world.  We are setting an example of His love and His brilliant light when we walk on His path of righteousness and integrity.  His funnel of Love covers us gently like a shroud of freshly fallen snow…as it washes us clean.  His clarity keeps us focused in His wisdom as we seek His strength and voice.

Jesus Christ has fulfilled His Father’s words of the scripture by dying for us, and resurrecting…defeating death, and offering us eternal salvation.  For those of us who believe in Him, shall live forever.

Right now, although time is fleeting…We need to walk according to our purpose and His plans.  We need to seek His Kingdom, first and foremost.  We need to think with the mind of Christ.  The Church of Christ is within…We are all one body in Christ.  We proclaim His glory, and adore Him.  Our ability to handle things, and to cope with ease are because of Him.  Our peace of mind in this angst ridden world of iniquity…is because of Him.  His love is endless, unlimited in depth…profound in His grace.

His arms are always open to all of His children.  His heart never ceases to forgive, when we repent and ask for forgiveness.  His beauty and wonder is overwhelming, yet so reassuring.  His countless acts of love…never stop.

So when I need help…I ask.  When I need His voice…I listen.  When I seek His face…I close my eyes.  When I need strength…I call his name.  Whatever I need…He provides.  So, I try to please Him and never walk ahead of my master, but behind…I wait for His lead, and His will.  I love you God, my Abba Father.  I thank you for all things, for your love….and for your Son, Jesus Christ, our loving Savior.

So the clock is ticking away,  we are here for a little while.   But, Eternity…is forever

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in the Prophets: “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You.The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’”  Mark 1:1-3 NKJV

John1:1-5 NKJV  “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend .”

Romans 1:16-17 NKJV  ” For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Dear God: You Fulfill Our Needs~

“But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you.” Deuteronomy 4:4

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19 (NKJV)

While walking in the depths of despair, one can become desperate.  When one is in need of help, for financial woes, one can become desperate.
When one is in need of quenching an insatiable thirst, one can become desperate. When one succumbs to a penetrating anxiety, one can become desperate.

All of these things, that exist in a carnal world, can make an individual desperate.  The world, is a place in which one cannot exist, without the weapon of choice.  His Word…and His love.

Feelings of doubt, can plague our sensibilities, when we are faced with insurmountable odds…but God will raise us up.  Through His Word…and His love.

Feelings of unrest, can riddle our minds.  Riducle from others, can upset our primal capabilities.  But God will soothe us. He will embrace and build us up.  Through His Word…and His love.

In the most desperate of hours, when it is the darkest, the Lord’s light will penetrate our soul, and light our path.  Through His Word…and His love.

God is with us always, in good times and bad. But in the thirsty, hungry and lonely hours…that is when His Word, and His love will be all that you seek and more.

He will give us drink. He will give us food. He will remain with us, while providing His Spirit, to uplift and fulfill.

At the most desperate times, we lean on Him.  We need to seek Him for all we do.  Everyday with God…is a great day. His Word is our weapon, His Spirit, our comfort…His love, our blanket of security, and purpose. The Word, everyday, is our Word of Life. It is our perpetual reason for an abundant, rewarding, fulfilling, and eternal existence.
Thank you father, we adore and worship you.

So…”Give us this day our daily bread.”

Psalm 103:1 “Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name.”

Deuteronomy 4:4 “But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you.”

Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”

Dear God: We shall Honor Your Commandment~

EXODUS 20:12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you."

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12

The words from God.  The very commandment given unto us, His children.  The fifth commandment.  What better reminder than Mother’s Day?  This commandment which should be infused into our very being, and written on our hearts, should be put into practice everyday of our lives.  Let alone on a national day of “honoring” our Mother.

The Lord wants us as children, to above all else, “honor and respect and love Him.”  And, a very big part of that would be walking in obedience to His word, and that would encompass the commandments as well.  Essentially it should be inherent in our fiber to want to show our love and respect for our Mothers.  Disrespect, and dishonorable behavior would be an abomination in God’s eyes.  It would make Him sad, and cause issues for us.  The Laws of the spirit are vital, and still hold true today.

Many might lament, “it is not the way it was in the old days.'”  Or, “It doesn’t matter any longer, that was before the New Testament.”   Unfortunately, it’s so easy to be mislead if one isn’t properly informed.  The truth will set us free, as it has been told of old, and the truth is, God is still on the throne today.  He is the same and has never changed.  That commandment is still in effect.  As are the rest of the commandments given to us.

Jesus’ mother Mary, was blessed of all women.  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.”
Luke 1:28 (NKJV)

She was chosen to carry the Christ, our Savior.  She was humble, and obedient…and never shied away from her purpose in doing and performing God’s will. “And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.”
Luke 1:42 (NKJV)

She was a young girl who obeyed God over all else.  She was a virgin who moved and walked in compliance to God’s will. And after the difficult moments of announcing her “condition” to Joseph her betrothed, and her parents…God sent His angel to smooth the way for Mary.  God always near and ready to protect and vindicate His children who walk in faith and obedience.  We honor you today too Mary, and offer our respect for your love and obedience. And, for being the chosen one to be the mother of Jesus Christ.  “And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.” Luke 1:46-48 (NKJV)

We thank you Lord for creating us.  For providing us with your protection, and love.  For knowing us and loving us before we were in our mother’s womb.  For being with us and giving us perspective on all things.  And, for never leaving us or forsaking us.  For giving us your promises, and never faltering on them.  And, for giving us the privilege of “Honoring You and loving You” and serving you all the days of our lives.

A special thanks to all of the mother’s out there today.  We appreciate all that you represent, and all that you do.  We thank you for kissing our “boo-boo” and wiping away “our tears.”  We thank you for your dedication and patience in raising us.  Some were more of a handful than others.  Thank you “Mom.”

And, thank you GOD for giving us our mom’s.  We will walk in obedience to your commandments and Honor our Mother and Father all the days of our lives.

But, most especially – We LOVE and Honor You, Almighty God.

1 Chronicles 22:19 (NKJV) ” Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God.”

Deuteronomy 4:2 (NKJV)  “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”

Dear God: Your Spirit Overflows Within~

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For Everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8 (NKJV)

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21 (NKJV)

What do you think about for a good portion of the day? What gets your heart rate up with anticipation?  What is it that you cannot live without? What ever it is, it’s your treasure…and nothing but GOD is worthy of it.

All of which we possess and acquire is through the good  graces of our loving Lord and Master.

It is through Him that we aspire, and inspire…and it is His unmerited favor that provides, and brings all things that we need.  Do we need a new car?  Well, possibly if our car is kaput!  But, can we live without one?  Yes…it would be an inconvienence, but it is not a necessity to our very existence.  It’s not a requirement  to be able to breathe.

Going to a ballgame and watching an exciting and close game can get our hearts pumping, beating fast, and loud…and of course, the intensity of the sport excites us.  But do we need this game in order to live?  To breathe?  Again, it is not essential to our very existence.

The nutrients of which we are comprised are organic…these human/flesh bodies formed from clay need elements to live.  Air without which  we would asphyxiate, and expire.  We need food..for reasons that are obvious and need no explantion.  And finally water…liquids.  We need these things to keep our flesh bodies up and operating at peak performance.  Without any of these essential ingredients of necessity…we would not be able to function, eventually we would die.  Our spiritual bodies will live forever, if we accept the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in our lives.

Now…back to my former questions.  “What do you think about most of the day?” Is it Jesus?  A good portion of our day should result in consulting and talking to the Lord.  Talking to the Lord is a form of prayer.  We can ask “for strength” in any given situation that we are facing.  Or, for help in saying the right thing in an important meeting.  For guidance in offering advice to a struggling teenager who is in a dark place.  For the wisdom to know when to speak or when to keep quiet. And, when to just listen, and wait for “the voice from within” to speak.  The soft, yet powerful voice of God.

What gets your heart beating?  Is it when you help someone?  Listen to someone? Is it when you put on a Christian CD and sing praises to the Lord?  Is it knowing that Jesus loves you unconditionally and accepts you readily at all costs?

What is it you can’t live without? That is a rhetorical question in my mind. Why? Because there is only one answer…For me, it is Jesus Christ.  He is the one essential constant, and required nutrients in my life.  His love makes my heart beat strong.  His wisdom makes me think rationally.  His Word feeds me and keeps me full… and I never thirst when I drink from His endless living  and purifying water.

I need Him to Breathe, to plan my steps, to oversee my life, and to be my Lord and Master… always.   My treasure is Jesus, and therein you will find my heart.

What is your greatest treasure?

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6 (NKJV)

“Let you light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16  (NKJV)

“…For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” Matthew 6:32 (NKJV)

“…true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him”  John 4:23 (NKJV)

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”   John 7:37 (NKJV)
