Dear God: I love to Meditate on You and Your Word~

I am filled with peace when I meditate on your Word~

This past week held several challenges.  My husband and I faced several hurdles that were blocking “our way.”  Adversity visited us.  However, it never suffocated us. Why?  Because of our faith in God, and His grace.

It is an awesome feeling to realize the depth of His love and the depth of His ability to soothe and help His children.

My husband has great faith-but handles it differently.  I have great faith, and I handle it differently.  But, when it gets down to it – we both “trust” the Lord, and run to Him for everything.  So bottom line is although we each have our “own style” we ultimately RUN to Him for everything.  We both love Him.

I love to meditate on His Word.  I get lost in the Word.  I love reading His Word.  The complex, yet simple communication that comes from our Father’s Word is overwhelming.  It transcends time, it isn’t respective of a person’s status, and it encroaches on our very soul with loving bliss.

The Word can take away your worries and it will provide the answers you need. Don’t hurry through it – stop, read it, then ask, “Father what is it you are trying to tell me?”

When I am “alone” with my Father and His Word- I don’t worry about anything.  I forget about issues pending or problems brewing.  I feel peace enveloping me and bringing instant relief.  Some may say – “Wait, that doesn’t happen to me!  How can you say troubles go away?”  Well I didn’t say troubles “go away per se” but, God will certainly hold your hand through your problems. He will bring and offer you a solution.  Or, at the very least, give you the strength to get through it.  Things that are tough will seem easier because of  faith.

I had complete faith and trust in God this past week, as did my husband. We knew God would offer a solution.  And, true enough – He did!  Thank you Lord, Praise you God. We have complete faith in you all the time. Amen.

It is times of “celebration” of our great faith that makes me “happy and sad.”Why?  Because some people don’t have that type of relationship with God.  They go through their “own struggles all alone!”

Can you imagine for a moment, “Life without God?”  How sad, how lonely – how hopeless it must be! A couple of thoughts come to mind-  No light.  No hope.  Bondage. Despair.  How sad…How very sad.

Faith is believing when all evidence points in a completely different direction.  Faith is putting your trust in God.  Faith is complete dedication to our Father. Knowing He will be there for us-no matter what.  Faith is the ease of believing and having peace over ride the “turmoil.”  Faith is knowing your Father loves you.  Faith is knowing He is listening to our prayers.  Faith is knowing He will never leave us. Amazing isn’t He?

God you are  the Absolute Being, the All Knowing,  the All Powerful,  the Almighty,  the Creator,  the Divine Being, our Father, God , our King of Kings, our Lord,  our Maker, Yahweh, and pure unadulterated and unconditional Love.

You are so many things to so many people Lord.  Thank you for loving me, and giving me this platform (my writing ministry/website)  to worship you, and to exalt your name.  Thank you Abba Father for your help this past week. All glory and honor belong to You and You alone…Praise and Bless you my Lord my God.

I love meditating on your Word Lord.  And for those of you who haven’t experienced peace, or love… pick up His Book and start living.  What are you waiting for?

Dear God: Make Me A Fisher of Men~

And he said unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19

Oh Lord – there are so many of your children in need.  But, then you already know that.  You are omnipresent and are aware of all things. You are the one and only true Living God.

Many of your children are in need due to some issue in their life.  They work within their hearts to push past the pain, and uncertainty. They go through each day trying to get answers concerning their private issues. Or answers to prayers.

Some of your children, don’t know You God- or your son Jesus their Savior.  And so, their issues will be that much harder to deal with. The difficulties will be insurmountable without you in their lives. They will fumble and be in distress.

For those of us who are fortunate enough to know You – we can get through anything with you by our side.  The infinite wisdom and calm that comes from having You living within is indescribable.  And, for those of us carrying health issues, financial issues, or any other matter of concern-with You in our lives; it makes it easy to go forward.

I wish to touch others and bring them to your arms Lord.  Your Words have taught me well. Have I become a “fisher of men?”  Have I gone forward each day in a manner pleasing to you my Lord, my God?  Thank you for your guidance and your gifts that you have laid upon me.

For those who are lost and have no sight?  For those who are deaf and cannot hear.  For those who are dead…Your light and love can restore their sight, and their hearing.  Your death and resurrection-brought them eternal salvation.

Each of us go through life with issues pending:  A health crisis, an ongoing health issue-dealing with the death of a loved one, someone being abandoned by a loved one,
financial struggles, an addiction, lonliness, homeless, going hungry, physical abuse, verbal abuse…The list is endless, and each one heartbreaking.

The only one that can help with all of the above issues and more is YOU my Lord.  Continue to teach me to become a “Fisher of men” so that I might employ your ways onto the blind, deaf and the ones in bondage.  Give me the wisdom to “cast your net” of tolerance and ministry of love to the ones living in “fear” and “bondage” so that they may be set free in the name of Jesus Christ.

I have the net ready Lord.  Thank you for using me as a vessel…for your purposes.
May others who know you intimately continue to “cast their net” -looking for men.

Do you have your net ready?

The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you.  Luke 1:35

I will say to the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.  Psalm 91:2

As the Heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways.  Isaiah 55:9

The Lord…has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead!
Ruth 2:20

Dear God: You Alone Are Exalted~

“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light…” Isaiah 9:2 (NKJV)

First of all-Lord, my Father, my God…I Love you.  I give you thanks for all you are, and all that you continue to be.  You are amazing-Your name is  Holy and you are the one true Living God.

All Glory, honor and praise belong to you my Lord, my God. Forever and always. Amen.

The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.”  Isaiah 8:13 (NKJV)

We never have to fear men, or the threats of men…If you fear God above all else. When all human threats seem real to us than the promises of God, remember this: God’s word will stand when men turn to dust.  God is our Father, our creator – He made our very souls.  He breathed life into our nostrils….He is our Lord and the one who loves us the most.

Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgement and justice.” Isaiah 9:7 (NKJV)

We live in a time when men will do all they can to “demean” the Bible.  These very men will “puff themselves up” and value their own words and ways more than the very word of God.  These men will put their own insight and pseudo wisdom above all else!  I hear it everyday!  This is “glorified by men.”   Speaking solely about “men and their own accomplishments.”  Their boastful ways, their constant parade of “look at me – and look at what I can do…”   This is showcased on television, videos, online, newspaper articles, so on and so forth.  Vanity, self absorption, and selfish works, it seems to be the biggest rage, and so “so cool.”

All of the “puffed up” attitudes of man – which serves to “glorify themselves seems to be increasing in popularity.  Yet, Christianity is something that people do not want to see?  They have no interest in hearing about Christ, who gave His life for US!  They have no interest in seeing “Christian movies, or videos” – They will snicker, make fun – call us “Jesus freaks” – or worse.  Actually,
“that is a compliment.”  That is when  a Christian recognizes  others see them following His ways, and exalting the Lord. Amen.

In mercy the throne will be established; and One will sit on it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, Judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness.” Isaiah 16:5 (NKJV)

Oh Lord my God – I look forward to the day everyone will proclaim you are Lord, and the day when all will bow, and sing Holy Holy Holy. I cringe at the actions of some of your children, as they turn their back on you.  Or when some of your children  discredit your very words, or your promises, your covenant  and your ways.  Or when they turn away from your loving outstretched arms, and shun your love.  Your pure unadulterated love.  It saddens me.

However my Lord I know at a future time, all will look to you, our Maker- and all will have the utmost respect for the Holy One of Israel. That is in the future…  but, how fortunate for your dedicated ones, who at this very moment in time , enjoy the blessings of being intimate with you.  And, we can embrace our connection to you, my Lord my God.

Lord, You will establish peace for us, for you have also done all our works in us.”
Isaiah 26:12 (NKJV)

To live the Christian life means allowing Jesus to live His life in us and through us.
Which means what we accomplish, and do is through His Spirit – not because of our own
merits or worth.  But because of His Spirit. And that kind of amazing and wonderful partnership results in peace.

Lord, I  choose to exalt your name and give you all glory and honor and praise.

How many others out there will raise their hands high to Our Lord right now?

“And do not fear those will kill the body but cannot kill the soul.  But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”    Matthew 10:28 (NKJV)

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”   John 14:27 (NKJV)

“So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.”  Acts 19:20 (NKJV)

Dear God-I want to Sow Seeds~

There is only one mediator between human beings and God – Jesus Christ~

There is only one mediator between human beings and God—Jesus Christ. With our acceptance of Jesus’ death on the cross,  believers have direct and instant access to the throne room of the one and only Living God.   That relationship is direct, intimate and  extremely personal. His voice is heard throughout the ages, His love still prominently displayed in Christians.  His docrine is still being practiced throughout the world. Our relationship with God is possible because of our belief in Jesus Christ.  (1 Timothy 2:5; Ephesians 3:12).

The Holy Spirit is a gift from God to make people aware of their need, and hunger for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides every Christian with the power for living,  and understanding of spiritual truths.  He is our daily reminder and our guidance in living according to God’s will. Faithful followers- seek to live under His control daily. (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; Ephesians 1:3; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18).

When we live under the control of God, and His will- we are spreading the Word and his love.  We are producing fruit as we spread the “seeds” of love, honor, respect, and walk according to our Father’s will.  He is our conveyor of truth, our internal understanding of what is right and wrong.  He is our guide in which we measure all of our sentiments and actions by.  But most important of all, we are making Him proud when we do His will, and He will bless us abundantly.

God has a plan for His children.  And there is a hierarchy of progression within that plan.  To follow the doctrine of Jesus, and our Father’s laws and live His words.  We have to be careful of what we sow.  For what you sow you will reap…and your fruits will perish if you are not sowing the “good seeds.”

Make God smile….Are you walking and obeying His word?

Have you spread any seeds today?  Grab a handful and start sowing~

Dear God: You are The Word~

John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, And the Word was with God,  And the Word was God.

So many people in the world and so many different views of life overall.  With different views come different lifestyles.  And, different beliefs.  Sometimes different views can be frustrating.  For an example, I love God and recognize Him as the one true God.

I know He is the one true Sovereign being, the one true Living God.  The Creator of all things.  It seems so simple for me, because my belief is so strong. I trust in Him, I run to Him for counsel, guidance, for communication.  I love His Word, because it comes from His heart and is meant for my heart.  For me, there is no other way -He is my comfort and my world is secure knowing Him and loving Him. He is my everything.

On the other side of the coin is the “non-believers” who simply think the world came from a “Big Bang” and their theory is based on “Scientific” research.  Well, again for me, God is the Master Scientist-He created all things.  The non-believers on the other hand, see God as a “Myth” and the Word, His very Word-as nothing more than a fable put together purely for entertainment value.

This is what I referred to in my first paragraph – “it can be frustrating” when people’s views are the antithesis of  your own beliefs.  Especially when it comes to GOD.  I want to scream sometimes, when I hear individuals say, ‘boy I was so lucky.”  Luck?  Are you kidding me luck?   There is no Luck, there is GOD who is behind all things at all times.  The Lord is our safe haven, our shelter, our best friend, our “go to person” for all of your activities of everyday life.

When a baby came back from being pronounced dead for nine full minutes – was that luck?
When a young man who was diagnosed “brain dead” and in an inreversible coma woke up
and had full brain capacity- was that luck?
When a woman looking for her son she gave up for adoption 25 years earlier showed up at her place of employment working alongside of her- was that luck?
When we were born and were given life – was that luck?
The reason is simple and to the point – GOD.

Thank you my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   Thank you for all that you are, and all that you have done.  I recognize we must respect one another and keep peace.  Thank you for providing the wisdom during the course of my day to overcome situations that are challenging.  Thank you for providing your voice as the barometer of morality.  Thank you for the providing me the “platform through writing” to exalt your Powerful Name, and to give you all the glory and honor.  Thank you for providing me with the necessary tools to promote your Word,  by example-and shining the Light of Jesus Christ’s love to others.

Although there are different views and lifestyles, and we are all different in appearance and backgrounds.  One thing is abundantly clear – we all have ONE FATHER.  One day, the world will recognize that, and every knee will bow and every lip shall proclaim you as Our Lord and Savior.

Yes one day everyone will realize you are Our Christ, our Lord, Our God, Our Savior.  But, how fortunate for those of us who recognize this truth right now.  Amen.

John 1-5 KJV
3 All things were made by him;
And without him was not any thing made
That was made.

4 In him was life;
And the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness;
and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 9-12 KJV
9 That was the true Light,
Which lighteth every man
that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world,
And the world was made by him,
And the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own,
And his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him,
To them gave he power
To become the sons of God,
Even to them that believe on his name

John 14 KJV
14 And the Word was made flesh,
And dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
The glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)

Dear God: I know You and know peace~

These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11

Another year has come and gone.  People celebrate in different ways, some went to formal gatherings, while some may have preferred a quaint gathering of family and friends at home.  While others may have spent it all alone, lonely and depressed, void of human companionship, friendless. And others may be “dead”  not knowing Jesus.

The Lord is pleased when we go to Him for things, advice, Godly counsel if you will…And, He is thrilled when we obey and live by His “game plan.”  Take Football for an example. One can see there is a basic formation and  pattern-along with rules and regulations in order to make the team successful. They go “by the book” in terms of the “game.”  Right?  What happens when they fall out of the boundaries of the regulations and disobey the rules of the game?  The team is probably not going to be successful, and they will undoubtedly suffer consequences as a result from their actions.

Well – God has a “plan” for us – He has His laws and “His book.”  And what happens when we fall outside of the boundaries of “His book” and His basic rules of this thing called “life?”  We probably more than likely will struggle with everyday issues, we may not experience peace, we might not be happy campers…and we certainly will not know how to handle the “dark times” in our lives.  When we leave God out of the equation, things become exceedingly difficult to navigate on the highway of our lives.  Our behavior can become forced…things may not make sense, and it may become hard to cope with everyday stress factors in our lives.

To know God is to know peace.  No God – no peace.  Simple and right to the point.  My life and my behavior is predicated on my belief in Jesus Christ.  Without Jesus- I wouldn’t act according to His doctrine and would be a completely different human being.  Jesus saved me in more ways than one, and I have become a completely different person with Him living in me.  The metamorphosis I experienced is beyond explanation. All I know is I love who I am with Christ inside of me.  He came to save us and to provide eternal life, drink from His living water and slake our thirst for all eternity.

Open your heart and your mind to Jesus and accept Him as your Savior…All He wants is to love you and protect you.  He did the hard part…we have the easy part…His love and His promises for eternal life.

So this New Year – Open the Lord’s book – get to know Him intimately, you will make His day and He will make yours.

Remember“Know God know peace – No God, no peace.”

May you know peace – Happy New Year~
