Dear God: You Are Always There~

As my Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. John 15:9

My God is so amazing and outstanding in all things.  He is always there to rescue His children…and all He asks in return is our love.  Our love.  “We love Him for He first loved us.”

Yesterday I was in a bind with some unforseen circumstances that occured and my husband and I were at a loss as to how to handle it.  However, while I was alone in my car I earnestly asked the Lord for help.  I know He is the wisest of all and the only one who can help.  He is the only one that will be able to solve our problems.  He is the only one that cares enough to want to solve our problems.

Psalm 108:12  – “Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless.”

The real question is – where do we go first when trouble hits?  Do we rush to secure help from family or friend? Or do we take our problems and go directly to the Lord to ask Him to send us the help we need?

I asked and He solved my problem.  Within minutes the situation that needed a quick response was resolved- Praise the Lord.  He provided the wisdom I needed to handle the issue that presented itself, and he brought the answer right to my door.  Thank you Lord- all glory and honor belongs to you now and forever.

Psalm 109:4 -In return for my love they are my accusers, but I give myself to prayer.

When someone betrays us or turns against us, God instructs us not to seek revenge but to seek His face in prayer.  He knows how to best deal with any given situation, and we need to hear from Him.

Only God has all the answers, He knows our DNA, our likes, dislikes, our very thoughts and knows our hearts.  He created our soul, He is our Father.  He is our Creator, and through Him all things are possible…He is our bridge that suspends us from the turbulent waters, and He is the shield from the storm.

The most quoted passage in the New Testament is from Psalm 110:1…The Lord Jesus Christ used it in Matthew 22:41-46 It held significance then, as it does now.  His word never grows old or outdated like a milk container, or expires with time.  It is constant and it stands today as it did then, and always shall.  His word is filled with promises and guidance and it is His love letter to us helping His children.  It is for our purposes to let us know how to live and be happy and walk with Him on the path of righteous behavior; filled with love for Him.

Psalm 110:1  – The Lord said to the Lord, “Sit at my right hand til I make your enemies your footstool.”  Amen.

Psalm 111:10  – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom a good understanding have all these who do His commandments.  His praise endures forever.

To  fear and know and understand the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  As we read and familiarize ourselves with our Father’s words, we begin to see clearly, we hear and understand more readily.  With each provocation of our supplication to the Lord, we are showing and expressing our love-and in so doing He begins to reveal more and more of His doctrine.  It begins to open “like a budding flower” slowly we water it, and little by little it opens wide until it is fully grown.  Thus is our love and our understanding of our Father’s word.

For all of you who already know the wisdom of our Lord and His love and have an intimate relationship with Him you know full well as to what I am espousing.  I share your happiness and peace that only can come about from such a relationship.  How amazing to go to Him with all of our troubles, our cares and know He will help us – 24/7.   How wonderful and amazing is that?

For those of you who do not share this type of relationship with God…Don’t you want peace and to grow in His love?  Open His book-read and get to know Him one on one – you will never be sorry. Get to know His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.  And the next time you are in a precarious position and need help, look up and know peace-most especially know true unconditional love.  Amen.

Revelation 4:8 “And they do not rest day or night, saying: Holy holy holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.”

Revelation 3:8 “See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”

Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, O Lord to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”

Dear God: Thank you for our Savior~

"Thank you Jesus my Savior"

Luke 2:8-14 “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

Thank you my Lord and Savior   For being born for our purposes.

Thank you Lord and Savior        For becoming flesh and walking amongst us.

Thank you Lord and Savior        For all you are, have been and continue to be.

Thank you Lord and Savior        For Loving me and all of your children.

Thank you Lord and Savior       For never leaving my side.

Thank you Lord and Savior       For coming to earth in search of our heart.

Thank you Lord and Savior       For your miracles, your love, your sacrifices.

Thank you Lord and Savior       For caring enough to die for us to save us.

Thank you Lord and Savior       For being our eternal salvation.

Thank you Lord and Savior      For being the Good Shepherd.

Thank you Lord and Savior      For defeating death.

Thank you Lord and Savior      For your living water.

Thank you Lord and Savior      For watching over me and listening to me.

Thank you Lord and Savior      For your blood on the cross that saved us.

Thank you Lord and Savior      For being our King of Kings, and our Light.

Thank you Lord and Savior     For your heart and your love.

Thank you  seems so small in comparison for what you did for us.  Thank you-you have my heart forever.

I love you Jesus…Blessed be your name forever.  Amen and Amen.

John 1-4  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God.All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 1:14  “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

Dear God: Your Children Make Me Sad~

I LOVE YOU JESUS~

“It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. – John 19:30

My Lord, my savior – how my heart aches as I look around in our world today.  And, what I wonder is if I am feeling the “pain” of seeing your children shun you, or turn their back on you-how much more are you feeling the pain?

The big story this week in the news was about Tim Tebow the quarterback for the Denver Broncos.  He wasn’t in the news for his athletic ability, or the fact that his team has won another game…It was due to his strong Christian beliefs, and how he stands up for Jesus Christ.  People all over are speaking about it.  “Tim Tebow should just play football, we don’t need to keep hearing him say how much he loves Jesus Christ.”

After reading that comment I was incredulous-but it gets worse.  One particular QB stated, “I like Tim but he really should hold his religious beliefs and how much he owes it all to Jesus Christ private.  This is football and we don’t want to hear it.”   Hold on, it gets even more unbelievable!  One reporter states: “Before each and every press conference he starts off with , ‘First and foremost I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for without Him nothing would be possible.’  I mean, we don’t want to hear it-we just want to ask questions about football and don’t need to hear about Jesus.”

I actually got tears in my eyes for that last comment.  “Not hear about Jesus?” Our Savior who willingly went to be crucified for our salvation?  The same Jesus who loved with all of His heart?  The same Jesus who is the Son of God?  The same Jesus who defeated death for us?  The same Jesus who performed miracles and helped thousands and who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords? Our Savior? That Jesus?

God our Father gave His only begotton Son for us...”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son for our Salvation…John 3:16.  How can his children turn their backs on Him?  How?

This young man Tim Tebow is making the world speak about Jesus…At the very least he got everyone’s attention.  He is filled with morals and scruples and the love of Christ.  It is apparent in all he does…on and off the field.  In his personal life and beyond.  He lives for Jesus Christ.  As I do, as many of you do -as we all should.  He died for us, defeated death, gave us life….How could anyone not see this?

I for one have become a big fan of Tim Tebow, the world needs more people like him.  When he takes a “knee” in prayer before and after a game – I am comfortable with seeing that practice and dedication of love for our Lord.  Others are uncomfortable with it- “we don’t need to see that” is their lament. Well, then don’t look.  He is doing it privately and respectfully without proselytizing-but as his very own practice of dedication and love to God.

I applaud this young man who is comfortable in his skin and doesn’t turn his back on Jesus. He loves God and is not afraid to show it.  He doesn’t worry about what is “politically correct” – he doesn’t worry if he is “popular” with other players on other teams.  He has a distinct inner calm and a strong sense of dignity and dedication that is clearly evident in all he does.  And, he doesn’t apologize for who he is. He has the peace of the Holy Spirit living within him.  The same peace we all feel as dedicated Christians.

I wonder how all of these people will feel when their lives are over and one day they will realize that “God is real” – they will be shocked, perhaps as shocked as the Father is when they turn their backs on him. I pray they realize it before it is too late, I pray for all of my brothers and sisters who are not on the path with our Lord and Savior.

There needs to be more Christians willing to stand up for Jesus and not “cumble” or cave when others make fun or ridicule you.  John 5:11 “Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.” The Beatitudes is one of my favorite passages…in the Gospel of Matthew, and that line which Jesus states is so abudantly clear and happening right now.  Tim is not afraid to show his love, how about you?

And, I can almost personally guarantee that Tim Tibow will be saying “Merry Christmas” and not “Happy Holidays.”

Merry Christmas and may the peace of the Lord be with you all always.

“Hearken unto me, you that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear you not the reproach of men, neither be you afraid of their revilings.” Isaiah 51:7

“For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.”   Philippians 1:29

Dear God- Tis The Season~

Acts 15:11(KJV) “But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.”

This is the time of year when the vast majority of Christians “Step up to the plate” and want to do gracious acts.  I am not saying “all” I said the vast majority.

There are Christians who try to the best of their ability to walk with God 24/7 – 365…and yet for some- it can be exhaustingly difficult-due to our “flesh bodies” and the distractions of the world.

Man’s carnal mind and mitigating factors that can manage to get through our “filtering Spirituality” can cause minor setbacks with some Christians.

Christmas should be all about our Savior and giving thanks to God for His Son, and what His Son did for the world.  We should reflect on this miraculous conception of Christ, our Savior.  We should try to incorporate all of our thoughts and aspirations with a core focus on Christ.

What would Jesus do?  How would Jesus handle this?  Jesus was all about love- His whole ministry was about ministering love, tolerance, forgiveness and fulfilling the scriptures.:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”   Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”  John 1:14 (KJV)

The Lord gave Himself freely and came for the purpose of saving us – and offering His blood as an atoning sacrifice thereby giving us the opportunity for eternal life…He provided the path for our salvation and conquered the grave-defeated death.  Amen!   He did this for us.  So why are we forgetting about Him at Christmas?

Why are there “Holiday cards” and “Holiday parties” –  and why are people saying “Happy Holidays?” With no mention of CHRIST or Christmas?  How did this all come about?  When did this society become so hardened and so self inflicted of their “own glory” and personification that Christ is not a part of it?

Christ our redeemer – our refuge, our Savior and our King of Kings is being pushed to the side?  I am saddened by the commercialism that is exhibited at this time of the year – it is so blatant that it makes me dizzy, and angry.  I LOVE GOD and I love His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.  Yeshua – as is His Hebrew name – and I love everything He is and all that He has done for us.

I am not ashamed to admit my love – I do not care if and when people think I am a “Nut” due to my love for the Lord.  Or when I hear others refer to my “holy roller” attitude concerning God.  Go ahead and laugh- I am not concerned what man thinks…The bottom line-ultimately is about pleasing God, that is all that matters.  And in the end – it is about gaining entry into His Kingdom.  When your time on earth is over – are you comfortable with meeting God?  Will He know you?  Or will He say “I have never known thee.”  That is your choice.

So, this Christmas season  ( and all year long!)- do not leave Christ out of your equation.  Revere Him, Love Him,  get into the word – and make it all about Him.  Because when He came here- He made it all about us!

“Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. ” Matthew 20:28 (KJV)

“and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 28:20 (KJV)
