Dear God: Power of Your Love~

christ

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

~Happy Resurrection Day my Brothers and Sisters~

Pastor delivered a good word and powerful example of the “power of Jesus’ resurrection” and how it is offered to all of His children who care to harness the power by believing in Him.

He illustrated through two balloons a parable if you will. He showed that they were identical in all aspects, color, size etc.  Yet when he let them both go, one soared and floated  in the air, while the other was pulled down and never left the ground.   One was uplifted the other was dragged down.  Why?  Because of one significant reason…it was all about what was inside the balloon.  One was filled with helium, while the other with hot air.

This is akin to our souls…sin drags us down, God lifts us up.  Sin holds us down, the resurrection power of Christ lifts us up.

Paul preaches that to know the true power of Christ’s resurrection is to be free.  To recognize His being risen from the grave,  and overcoming death, and becoming the author of salvation is the freedom of souls…we get to experience life forever more.

Some individuals right now are experiencing hurt, feel broken, and believe they’re not worthy of being “fixed” or  that they could be fixed at all.  But Christ is the living example of how false that assumption is.  He died for us so that we could live forever. He was sent to heal the broken hearted and sent to deliver us from our sin offering salvation to those who believe in Him.

Jesus said in the Gospel of John,I am the life, the way and the truth, no ones comes to the Father but through me,” so–when we harness the power of His love and His sacrifice for us, we are set free and our slate washed clean. Hallelujah!

When we experience the resurrection of Christ we are transformed and available to all.

When we know the scriptures and understand the “plan” of God, we are made new again, we are new creatures.  The old person is gone and a transformation is clearly apparent. When we’re baptized in Christ, we go into the watery grave and acknowledge his death and resurrection.  We too come forward born again…new and washed clean.

In Matthew 22:29, Jesus said, “you do err not knowing the scriptures or the power of God.”

Unlock the scriptures, the plan…the Word.  God wrote it out for us so that we can survive and thrive in this world replete with dilemmas and perils…as well as happiness and good times.  We’ll be equipped for both with the knowledge and acknowledgment of knowing the plan and the purpose of our lives through God’s will.

Don’t let the darkness engulf you, accept the Light of the world who came to save us, and soar and float much like the balloon filled with helium.  Don’t let the darkness bring you to the ground, like the balloon filled with hot air.  Sin will pull you down…Christ will lift you up.

Experience the power of God and His love.  And soar high above as you become a witness to others in the power of Christ’ resurrection so that they might experience it as well.

“Lord, thank You for Your love, and Your sacrifice, and Your willingness to help us in all that we do, and it’s only because of You that we’re able to live forever, in Jesus name, Amen, and Hallelujah.”

Dear God: Hands Of Grace~

Isaiah 41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Acts 11:21 – And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

handsofgod3

“God touch my face with your hands of grace…Love and mercy beyond understanding, always ready, always near, God my Father, how amazing are  You?”

All of us are subject to “life” and all that implies. Life is ever changing and the course can be challenging at times.  We might ride on a smooth road for long time, but invariably, we’ll sooner or later hit a rough patch and that is when our faith kicks in overdrive, or not.

Sometimes, the elements in which we face can be so overbearing, and overwhelming, that the Word might be “choked” by the world, and the circumstances in which we’re undergoing.  But, that’s when God becomes the strongest for when we’re the weakest.

His hands of grace will touch your face and hold you up. He’ll guide you, lead you, and touch you, through the most adverse of times.  His light will shine through the darkest moment and bring us out of the cumbersome valley by carrying us, and surrounding us, with His unconditional love.

How amazing is He?  How astounding is His divine presence?  How blessed are we to have a love like this?  A love that only the Father can provide in terms of vast and infinite likeness of which the human mind can barely comprehend.

To God be all the glory, honor and power and dominion, now and forever.  He deserves our love and so much more.  Don’t forget to tell Him you love Him and thank Him today, and everyday.  That’s the very least we can do…and it’s sure to please our Father, and bring a smile to His face…

“Father, I love You…now, today, always.  Thank You…”

==================================================================

Isaiah 59:1 – Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

Mark 10:16 – And he took them up in his arms, put [His] hands upon them, and blessed them.

Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness

Dear God: You Are My True Happiness~

jesus-breaking-bread

People may deceive themselves into believing they’re truly happy, often associating happiness with personal wealth.  Some might believe that materialistic gains is the key to power and satisfaction.  It might become an obessession of sorts…or a goal to erect and obtain great wealth.  They could be laboring under a misapprehension in embracing this goal, which subsequently can become a  wheel of deceit.

For example, they might not be happy unless they amass great wealth, (and there is nothing wrong with being successful if God blessed you with it ) but inherently, they may still be unhappy because they didn’t acheive more.  Thus, the “wheel of deceit” and self defeat in terms of “spiritual” gains, or lack thereof.

There is a name that means prosperity, and God Himself used it in Deuteronomy– The name was “Jeshurun.” The Hebrew prime of Jeshurun, means “prosperous.”   The people were “happy yet ignorant” of God’s divine plan, or turned from His salvation, if you will.

“But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thcik, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook GOD which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.”  (Deuteronomy 32:13)

They deceived themselves into believing they were happy.  Throughout the Bible, most notably in the Old Testament,  people walked in their “own ways” and not in the ways of God.  In fact, so many places in the scriptures tell that exact story. When Israel prospered, they forgot all about God and His salvation. They turned to other gods and idols turning their back on the only one true Living God.

Which brings us to current times. It’s no different.  There are some who like to boast about “their successes.”   Talking vanity, saying, “look and see what I did and accomplished with my own mind and hands” giving no credence or thanks to God for their success.  However, when adversity rears it’s ugly head that’s when they bring God into the equation… they blame Him, “Why did God to this to me?”

God is a faithful and loving God. Provoking God and blaming Him for things that have gone wrong could be a dangerous road to journey down. God wants to be there for us, in fact He is…but some of us might continuously turn Him away.  Seeking artificial and temporal things of this world to fill a void of emptiness within. There is only one who can fulfill us with a powerful surge that is ever lasting and bring pure joy and happiness exponentially.

Again, there is nothing wrong with being wealthy as a result of God’s blessings. Of course, God ulimately wants to bless us in all aspects of our life. And ,by obeying Him and walking in His laws is primarily one of the pristine exapmples of such. Just don’t leave God our of your life and expect to be happy.  Jesus instructed us in the beautiful sermon on the mount as to how to embrace and find happiness.

(Matthew 5:1 – 2 ) “And seeing the multitudes. he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, His disciples came unto Him. And, he opened his mouth, and taught them saying…”

How fortunate the people sitting there hearing these beautiful words coming of of the mouth of the Master!  Can you grasp that for one moment?  Wow! What a moment in time to be passed down throughout the ages for all the generations to hear! Amen,

(Matthew 5:3)   “Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kindgom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”

Blessed can be translated to “how happy” and “how happy” indeed are the  humble, for the Kingdom of Heaven is open to those who will…

(Matthew 5:5-6) “Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit the earth, blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.”

How happy are the meek?  How happy are those who hunger and thirst for the Word of God? — for they shall be filled.  You know the famine in the end days is for the “Word of God” — and those who are faithful shall not lack but will be filled…satiated completely.

True happiness certainly can be acheived, and that would not be the kind that is associated with “wordly” possession that will rust, rot, and fade away.  No, God is referring to bulding our treasures in Heaven not on earth. When we seek first His Kingdom, all things will be added unto us.

When we please God by putting Him first, seeking Him, trusting Him, yearning for Him, and surrendering to His will…we’ll be blessed and experience the ultimate true happiness that our Father wishes for us to have…

Father how thankful we are for your Word and Your promises, we know Your plans and Your goals are to enable us to acheive true happiness and peace, all within Your loving and gentle hands, which guide, lead and touch us, praise Your Holy and precious name, Father, in Jesus name I pray… Amen.”

Dear God: I Need You Always~

The Power of God's hand was in the hand of Jesus~
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  (John 15:7 KJV)
========
God wants us to be better receivers.  He wants us to be fully dependent and connected to Him for all things.  Every breath we take is a “gift from God” He is our life source and the reason for all things.
========
Each valley we go through, we grab onto Him and depend on Him more and more. The weaker we are, the stronger He is.  We need to have an attitude of dependency on our God and recognize that we can’t do anything without His grace and His guidance…
 ========
We owe all to Him and we should be giving Him glory each and every single day.
========
Jesus said, “If we would abide in Him that we would bear much fruit.”
We need to give Him thanks and praise throughout the day, each and every single day.  Not just once a week, or a couple of times a week…but every day a continuation of our dependency and co-existing with Him. So our inner Spirit will begin to shine more and our ways will inherently become infused with a spiritual focus. Eventually we’ll pull away for worldly ways.
 ========
God puts the “yearning in your heart” for Him…and it is He who waters the seeds we plant, both our own and those of others.   It is He who replenishes and brings forth a harvest when we come out of the valley.  As we grow in Him spiritually and think in the spirit, we receive life everlasting and our fruit will be plentiful.
========
Being in the Word and adhering to His will is a daily way of life and joyful experience that will strengthen us anew every single time.  His blessings will pour down from Heaven.
========
“Father how grateful we are to have such a powerful and loving God as You, we thank You for all things You have done , and continue to do in our lives, We exalt You and give You all the victory, now and always, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Dear God: Love As You Instructed~

Jesusandchildjesuschildren999

In John 15:12…Jesus said, “love one another as I’ve loved you” — He didn’t say “try” and he didn’t say “maybe” it was a commandement.   He said, “love one another as I’ve loved you.”  It was from His heart to ours.

We should love our neighbor as we love ourselves.  If we don’t love ourselves…which God hath created, it’s akin to denying God’s perfection as He created us…and that which He does is always perfect.  There is no room for error in our great Sovereign God.

It can be difficult at best to pray for those who may not be “loveable” or those who have emnity against us…but it is not for us to judge, nor speculate…Jesus said to pray for our enemies…this is the true form of being a Christian and following His doctrine and commandments.

He is love…He is good…He is kind…He is compassionate…He is grace…

Want to please Him? Follow His example and embrace His doctrine and commandments.  The threshold of love will be heightened to levels in which we can’t imagine as we keep our eyes on God and listen to His voice…”The Word…”

Matthew 22:36-40  (KJV)

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Dear God: You Are My Light & Salvation & My Everything~

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?  (Psalm 27:1)

OXYGEN VOLUME 13

There are times where we go through trials personally, or by association, and each time we need to stay in God’s light and care.  It can be difficult to keep and stay focused in the Word.  But, this is when we need to structure and organize our priorities and pull out the whole Armor of God, and put a plan into action of Spiritual warfare, with God as our Leader and General in the Army,  who will be going before us.  He is our defense in this fight, and in Christ, we will be assured the victory, for God has defeated death, and is the Author of salvation.

Our amazing God…who sees us through adversity and brings us out of darkness.  The Light of the world, our Savior…shines through any storm, and promises to never leave us. And, in truth, He never has.

Don’t let the world and stress of trials deter us from His Word…pray, ask, receive…and you will be able to get through it all, but only by His grace and His power.  It’s all about Him, not us. We are nothing without Him, we can’t survive without Him. He is our Tower of strength.  He is our Leader, Father, Savior, King and Loving God.

Cry out to Him, open your hearts, and run to His throne. The blood of Christ allows us to walk BOLDLY to His throne for all supplications and requests.  Put on your Spiritual Warfare everyday…and pray without ceasing, and give thanks to God for everything, in all that we do, and all that we are.

Thank You Father God, You are health to my navel and marrow to my bones, You are my medicine, my Fortress, my Mountain of strength, my Love…my everything…

And, the next time you walk in that lonely valley remember you’re NEVER ALONE, for God goes before you…

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. (Psalm 18:2)

Blessed be the LORD, because he has heard the voice of my supplications.(Psalm 28:6)

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise him. (Psalm 28:7)

Dear God: You Are The Life Force & Marrow To My Bones~

Your Light And Love Are All I Will Ever Need~

Your Light And Love Are All I Will Ever Need~

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil.  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. (Proverbs 3:8-9 KJV)

In all that we do seek the Lord.  Yeah, sure…We can do things on “our own” and think that we’re wise in our current choice of action.  And, perhaps it might be okay for the time being–but the truth of it is, eventually, the consequences of our actions will probably wind up on our doorsteps of life.

What I mean by that is, we aren’t wise in our “own eyes” –instead it is through His wisdom and His word that we attain the ability to handle things judiciously.  But, only because of Him. He is in control and on the throne.

There is evil in this world, and it circulates around on a daily basis. Corruption is within the grasp as it swirls about– it is up to us as children of the only living God to turn from it. Which is to say, the things of the world, items of the world which can be anything from an overly materialistic self-absorbed lifestyle, to being addicted or abosorbed in something other than God. It could be the love of a “car, computer, sports” or worse- anything that takes us away from God.

I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with being involved in sports and cheering for your team, or being immersed at times in the computer, or the infamous texting that goes on everywhere.  What I’m addressing is…over consumption that takes us away from God and into the realm of the “worldly activities”  that can be dangerous.  It can  become akin to “idol” worship in the comparative sense.

When we face the world, we can’t go out unclothed. We must put on the gospel armor and wear our helmet of salvation proudly and faithfully. We must gird outselves with the truth, and hold our sword (His Word) up high.  That is out battlefield of defense. To be armed with His word is the life force and marrow to our bones. So we won’t be deceived or pulled into the ambiguity of the world which can seem harmless at times. Don’t be deceived…be prepared.

He is the provider of substance and the synergy in which we exist. He is the Sovereign King of the Universe. He is the answer to all of our troubles, complexities, and our infinite joy. He is everything…

The verse from Proverbs 3:8-9  is powerful, and has been since the beginning of time.  And, yet—it is even more potent today given the state of affairs in which the world is in.

Health to thy navel…Marrow to thy bones…Life everlasting.

Have you asked Him for advice?  Have you taken the time to hang out with Him and speak to Him about what’s going on in your life today?

Try it…then get ready for a powerful burst of life and love~

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart. (Proverbs 3:3 KJV)

Proverbs 8:35
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

DEAR GOD: Wise Men & Women Still Seek You~

Jesus my lighthouse

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments (Psalm 119:10)

While driving about town doing errands I was happy to read the saying on a billboard in front of a church which said, “WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM.”   Since seeing that sign last week,  I’ve begun seeing that exact saying in about a  third more churches in my travels. It is a very popular saying, especially at this time of the year…

Wise men and women still seek Him couldn’t be more true or profoundly on course with being one of the faithful followers. Nothing is new under the sun, as Ecclesiastes states so emphatically in chapter one…and of course it remains critical to our existence as people of faith.

The Lord desires a relationship with us, and for those who seek His face and His wisdom, the fountains of inspiration are limitless when we do so. He not only supplies provisions for our lives, but does so with unconditional love.  Those who seek Him with fervent dilligence shall have rewards that will reap boundless joy.

To know Him is to know peace.  He doesn’t promise there won’t be clouds in the sky, but He does promise to offer a rainbow at the end of the storm as His light shines leading the way to safe harbor.

God is not a complicated God…He is pure and simple in His approach to our hearts. His arms are open wide, His hand is extended and His love covers us with a shield of endless protection.

God is the same since the beginning of time. He is still in control. His Bible is still a way of life for those who believe, and His love is still in full force.

Nothing new under the sun…”

Except perhaps my love for Him, which grows exponentially by the second. “I love you Father, thank You for being You!”

Oh yes, “Those who seek Him are wise indeed…”

==================================================================

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV)

Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore. (Psalm 105:4 KJV)

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  (Philippians 4:19 KJV)

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.   (Colossians 3:4 KJV)

Dear God: Our Providence~

pic of scott

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17)

Yesterday, while waiting for my  husband to complete an errand, I watched people hurrying past. Most had their heads buried in their “beloved cell phones.”  I thought, how “devoted” and “connected” they looked while fixating on their contraptions.  It was as an appendage to their bodies. Some of these individuals banged into passersby, and kept going, as if nothing had happened, so intent, and deeply engrossed were they on their task in hand. And, all I could think was, “wow” how the world has changed…simple thought, disturbing in the depth of that analysis…yet, profoundly true.

It seems our Sovereign God has been disconnected from most of the world. In fact, things of this world garner more attention than God Himself.  And sadly,  some don’t even know who He is. Imagine, if some would be as devoted to God as they are to their “social media.”  It would be a different world from all aspects, of this,  I’m quite certain.

Hello, can you hear me now?” one of the more familiar commercials of a major phone company, resonated within me as I watched these people pass by.  God is sending us signals everyday.  Some of us don’t hear Him.  Too many are connected to the things of this world. We need to quiet the noise of the world and welcome the peace of God.

Sometimes, we have to defrag our computers. Cleanse it, and clear it, so it can run properly, and smoothly. Well, so too must we “cleanse” ourselves from “this noisy world” to hear God and His voice…and obey His signals.  We need to de-clutter, and listen for God’s providence, to allow His foresight and Wisdom to take us through this time of woe.

God promises that He’ll never desert us, nor forsake His children.  He’ll guide us, lead us, and touch us with His Spirit, lending insight into all in which we do…through Him.

God delights in all that we do. He loves to guide our steps, and take us through this lifetime safely, while protecting us, and sheltering us with His Word, and His love. He wants to protect us, and His mercy endures forever. He is our Father who wants us to succeed and to be with Him for eternity.

As we look around the world today…look up and connect to the One who is ultimately in control, and the One who is the Source of all Provisions and Promises. That my friends, is the best connection of all time…

 Amen.

                                                              PSALM 37:1 – 28 (KJV)

37 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.

18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

Psalm 91GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Psalm 91

Whoever lives under the shelter of the Most High
will remain in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord,
You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”

He is the one who will rescue you from hunters’ traps
    and from deadly plagues.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge.
His truth is your shield and armor.

You do not need to fear
    terrors of the night,
arrows that fly during the day,
    plagues that roam the dark,
    epidemics that strike at noon.
They will not come near you,
even though a thousand may fall dead beside you
or ten thousand at your right side.

You only have to look with your eyes
to see the punishment of wicked people.

You, O Lord, are my refuge!

You have made the Most High your home.
10     No harm will come to you.
No sickness will come near your house.
11 He will put his angels in charge of you
to protect you in all your ways.
12         They will carry you in their hands
so that you never hit your foot against a rock.
13         You will step on lions and cobras.
You will trample young lions and snakes.

14 Because you love me, I will rescue you.
I will protect you because you know my name.
15 When you call to me, I will answer you.
I will be with you when you are in trouble.
I will save you and honor you.
16     I will satisfy you with a long life.
I will show you how I will save you
